Cosy and modest original unit with all you need to enjoy a couple of nights away to recharge at beautiful Ohope Beach. A short stroll to the beach, 1min drive to shops. Suitable for small families, a couple or single traveller's with a Queen bed in 1 room and a single trundler bed in the other. Fully equipped kitchen, shower, washing machine and parking for 2 vehicles or 1 x camper/caravan. Plenty of roadside parking too. Nestled behind a separate front unit off the main drag! Check pics for details. Short term accommodation considered May to December

This was a pretty basic, but clean and comfortable space for an overnight stay on our way to the Bay of Plenty. Easy beach access 5 min walk away.

A tidy, not modern, but nice littlle place to relax.everything supplied that is needed if doing own meals. Enjoyed the few minutes walk to the beach access lane which opens to the wonderful beach, thanks Tania

Lovely and clean... Great sofa for watching movies when the weather rolls in. Water pressure not so great but that's the only negative. Great for when you go out at the Charter club and need to walk

Cozy Cove Cottage-Ohope

I had to ask the host three times for the code for the lockbox, so we could get the key...Cottage was clean, but very dated. The shower water flow was not very good, & the shower rose wouldnt stay up by itself. They ask you to clean, put the rubbish out etc...but they charge an exorbitant amount for cleaning fee, so we didnt clean except for washing our dishes. There was a hole in the floor in the cupboard in the lounge. The doube bed was atrocious, & needs to be replaced... it was lumpy, (felt like mattress was stuffed with piles of clothing!) & had very bad roll together. In the single bed room, the door knob felt like it was going to fall off, & there was a previous guests t-shirt behind the bed... made us wonder how well the unit had been cleaned...? Not enough power points in the unit. One of the kitchen cups had chips in the top, not very safe or hygenic. Wouldnt stay here again.

Sorry you were disappointed Helena. It's a basic, original property that we know needs some updating hence the price. We will get to upgrades when we can but they are not urgent. Not sure why the hot water cupboard was an issue for you, that's where the copper pipes run not a hole someone can fall through. Your communication was zilch on the app and I contacted you first to see if you got the lock box code as I wasn't sure if the welcome guide was set up property. The cleaning fee is already there before you book and this goes straight to a cleaner. Thank you for your feedback and we will attend to the couple of matters raised. Unsure about the bed, this is the first issue we've had so I'll sleep on it myself and check.
