Millie's Cottage

Relax and enjoy this recently renovated cozy cottage just 2.5 miles from the heart of Shipshewana. Close enough to enjoy all this small town has to offer and just a short drive back from a busy day at the shops where you can enjoy an evening relaxing under the large shade trees by the wishing well in the secluded back yard. From the front porch is a nice view of a neighboring farm and you can enjoy seeing the many amish buggies as they stroll by. If you have a sweet tooth, another perk is the cute little frozen custard /ice cream stand within walking distance of this cozy getaway.
Inside you will find wireless internet, dish tv with all your favorites, DVD/Blue Ray player, a gas log fireplace with comfy seating space to unwind after a long day as well as a cozy nook for reading or having that morning cup of coffee. A Keurig coffee machine highlights this bright full size kitchen stocked with all the dishes, pots and pans needed to prepare your favorite gourmet meal if you choose. Microwave, electric skillet, toaster, electric griddle and hand mixer as well as oil, salt & pepper and a complete spice rack are all provided. A sound machine is provided for each bedroom for those light sleepers who might need a little something extra to help them doze off at night.
This property is less than ten miles from the 80/90 Indiana Toll Road and only 43 miles from Notre Dame, making it not only attractive to football fans but to anyone looking for a nice quiet getaway. And another great perk; (No space heaters allowed)

Cute little house that was close to everything we wanted to see . It was decorated for Christmas and we loved having a garage with the snow and cold weather . The fireplace made the living room cozy . The internet was kind of slow but not a big issue . The host was quick to respond to any questions.

Perfect place to stay to explore Indiana Amish country. Conveniently located to a variety of different attractions and the house had everything we could have needed. Owner was very communicative and we will definitely stay here again next time we are in the area.

So cute! Very homey, VERY CLEAN, comfortable beds, clear directions for check-in and check-out, nice touches like brochures to local events and eateries, games for a fun time inside, dishes and cookware provided. I would definitely stay here again in the future.

Friends getaway

Loved the set up of this house! Nicely stocked with first 24 hour essentials so we didn’t have to go to the grocery right off. Nice location close to town. Enjoyed our stay!
