History: This house was built nearly 70 years ago. It was originally converted into a petrol station and became a landmark during the 1960s. Later, it was transformed into a pool hall and served as a hire shop for the Kennards. Our business was fortunate enough to relocate to this building. Over the years, the house remained hidden among other buildings and was used mainly for storage while each owner made improvements. We love its almost anonymous charm and decided to restore it to its former glory. Now, it stands as a sanctuary nestled in our busy hub, conveniently close to everything yet sheltered from the hustle and bustle of the world.
Location: Bus stop is less than 20 meters from the house. It is just a stone's throw away from train and ferry services, and convenient street parking is available. You'll find various restaurants, cafés, and pubs within 500 meters.
Kitchen: The kitchen has everything you'll need, including a convection oven, induction stove top, kettle, toaster, microwave, and fridge. We also provide common seasonings and condiments to make your stay more enjoyable.
Lounge: The cozy lounge features a queen-sized inner spring sofa bed with a smart TV connected to free Wi-Fi, all designed for comfort and relaxation.
Bedroom: The bedroom includes a queen-sized bed, two full wardrobes, a shoe storage shelf, and a suitcase stand. You'll find two plush, fluffy robes hanging on the back of the door, perfect for slipping into after a long day.
Bathroom: The bathroom boasts a full shower with a brushed gold rain showerhead in a frameless glass enclosure, a toilet, and a mounted sink. A front loader washer/dryer and all essential toiletries, including toothbrushes and laundry powder, are included.
Overview: This charming one-bedroom apartment with a sofa bed in the lounge is well-equipped for your needs. Additional amenities include a washer/dryer, convection oven, fridge, smart TV, and free Wi-Fi. Throw blankets, pillows and original art pieces are scattered throughout this home for you to enjoy.

We were amazed at how big & small it was at the same time & it was just like a home away from home. Everything you needed was a short drive away. The hosts were very helpful with recommendations on what shops there are near by.Definitely will be booking next time we are in the area & also be recommending this place to family & friends.

Great little apartment - had everything we needed. It is in a quirky location but the communication from the hosts was excellent and they were quick to put my mind at ease (I was a little anxious from a booking elsewhere being cancelled on me last minute). We really appreciated the treats left for us - they were exactly what we needed after a long day at our event. We also really appreciate that the hosts have a reasonable pet policy and were so accommodating of our kelpies. Highly recommend.

The hosts (Angela and Phil) were really helpful. The unit was older but well kept. Different. It is on a main road so you can hear the traffic noise and street parking was hard to find. It suited us because it was close to everything. Our little dog was well catered for with bowls and a clean bed and blanket. The park next door was a bonus. Yes we would stay again.

The interior definitely matches presented photos but the listing is a little misleading - the location a literal car dealership - complete with ringing phones and outlook notifications. Overall the place was fairly clean and the property manager was helpful - the fire alarm started going off at 2am and even at that hour the host helped us resolve it. Overall fine for passing through quickly and but probably a bit expensive for what it is.

Hidden Gem
Unusual location but the apartment is very well appointed and comfortable with everything you could need. The host was extremely helpful and welcoming and the apartment has a number of extra little touches like dog bed and bowls. There is a fantastic park next door if you have a four legged friend or small children.

Host has excellent communications and available if needed.
Cottage was exceptionally clean with comforts and the free snacks were a delight.

This property was an amazing place to stay because of the location, ease of access, owner communication and internal amenities. You can feel the care and love that has gone into the space. The location worked for us, attending an event in Sydney Olympic park was very easy.

While the cost is relatively low given its location in the city, this place is 100% aesthetic over function. Positives: - Cute interior, with functional kitchenette. - Sofa bed was comfortable. - Next door to a park. - Short drive to Olympic park, our reason for visiting Sydney. - Some free snacks providedNegatives: - The unit is INSIDE an imported car sales yard. You have to weave between cars to find the hidden entrance. However, at least clear instructions were provided by the host to help with locating the entrance. - The bedroom is lit up all night as the car yard is lit all night. No block-out blinds means sleeping is very difficult and wake up feeling horrible. BRING A SLEEP MASK IF YOU PLAN TO STAY. - No air-con in the bedroom, but powerful air-con in lounge area that can cool bedroom down if you keep the doors open. Unfortunately, we had someone staying in the lounge so we had to give up our privacy for airflow. - Phone of the car yard goes off throughout the night disturbing your sleep, especially if you sleep in the lounge room. - Toilet is so close to the shower, you literally cannot wipe yourself by bending normally, you have to strategically position yourself. - We were told free parking was available on the side street, but they failed to mention the street is filled with residents' cars so you have to park at the top of a very steep hill. This may not be a problem for some, but if you are unfit/old/disabled, the hill is not manageable.
