Berowra Waters Studio enables you to enjoy a unique weekend escape or holiday break. It is a water access only property so you will be picked up by private boat at the public wharf at Berowra Waters. Transported across to your idyllic Studio where you can enjoy the stunning views from the deck, the peace and quiet of the surrounding natural bush and relax.
Berowra Waters Studio is a tastefully decorated, self contained and private studio perfect for a romantic weekend getaway for two.
It has a large deck complete with table and chairs which is perfect for al fresco dining and BBQ lunches while taking in the stunning river views. A lounge set is available for enjoying the sun on the deck.
A queen sized bed is complimented with two comfortable easy chairs and a small table. Ideal for relaxing in the comfort of your studio apartment.
The fully functional kitchenette comes complete with stove top, mid sized fridge, microwave and all appliances and cooking utensils suitable for cooking up a storm.

Please note that boat transfer fees for check in/out are included in your rate however an after dark fee is applicable if arriving late.

Things To Do

-Enjoy lunch or dinner at a restaurant on the river - Water Vista Cafe, A Chef Secrets, Griddle Steak House or Berowra Waters Inn.
-Walk or hike along part of the Great North Walk that runs through Berowra Waters.
-Drop a line or crab trap off the end of your pontoon and enjoy a seafood BBQ on your deck.
-Use the Kayaks and take a paddle into the shallow areas of Berowra Waters.
-Explore the river with the motorised tinny
-Bring along your own boat, use the designated mooring out the front of the property and go water skiing, fishing or cruising up the river.
-Find a secluded river beach and enjoy a BBQ or just relax and take a swim in the river.

“We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at the Cottage on the Australia Day long weekend. Being literally “on” the river and being able to walk down to the pontoon and jump straight onto your boat, fish and swim was a truly amazing experience. The Studio was very comfortable, clean and cosy. We took great delight in using the BBQ and having a few cocktails and dinner in the outdoor dining area. Your attention to detail such as the well provisioned kitchen, stocking of essentials and WIFI were very much appreciated. Our afternoon at “Peats Bite” would have to go down as the highlight of the weekend. Thank you and we look forward to visiting you again in the near future.”

We stayed in the Cottage instead of the Studio as Sue thought we’d be more comfortable and it was available. Sue was an excellent communicator and everything was really easy. We loved our stay. Right on the water, gorgeous views and watching the world float by! Our dog loved it too. So enjoyable taking the tinny up the creek (which is a huge body of water, much more than your average creek!).

Great spot for a peaceful stay. Amazing deck overlooking the river with access to the little tinny and kayaks. Could have been a little cleaner, pillows were a bit past their best, bed was comfy though and we enjoyed our stay.

Awesome stay.

Without a doubt, we would easily stay again. Clean, great communication with host, you get access to all the water activity gear and a tinnie to take yourself up and down the river. Dog friendly is definitely a sweetener.

Beautiful tranquil Retreat

We enjoyed the cottage immensely it had everything you needed to have a relaxing time!Having use of the tinny ,kayaks, crab pot and fishing lines was very good.Having the spa available would be a wonderful bonus!Unfortunately it wasn’t available for our visit!It’s a beautiful paradise so close to the city.Treat yourself!

Perfect stay on the river

We had an amazing time at the studio. The place has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The deck is amazing to relax and read a book or to just soak in the beautiful nature all around. From pickup to drop off our host was super friendly and very helpful. She sorted out a bbq package for us for our second evening as there aren’t any restaurants open on Sunday evening on the river. In our top 3 best stays ever and we absolutely plan to come again.

This was an absolutely glorious stay - from the great welcome by Rhian to the assistance with all things related to the tinny, the studio was perfect. Even though other guests stayed at the property connected to our studio, we had privacy. The setting was spectacular. We'd come back.

Perfect getaway on the water

The perfect spot to unwind and relax. Our host Sue has catered for everything and nothing was a problem. Sue has all bases covered and if you think of something I'm sure Sue will help out. Having access to the boat was great as was just poking around the river on the canoes. We had lunch at the Chef's Secret and highly recommend that if staying here. Breakfast at the Cafe at the Marina was possibly the best 'big breakkie' I've had. All in all a 10/10 spot and the studio was perfect for a couple. We really enjoyed being tucked up in bed and watching a big storm and light show blow over. I caught a few fish right off the pontoon making for a fresh dinner one night. The online pictures are a good indication of what to expect. I highly recommend Berowra Waters Holidays and Sue is a great host.

A waterfront gem

Our stay at the studio was absolutely sublime. Days were spent either taking the tinny to secluded, private beaches along the river, fishing off the pontoon, or bobbing along the water in one of the provided kayaks (with my two dogs on board as well, another two fans!). We brought groceries with us and the kitchen was perfectly stocked for us to make everything we needed to. Our final night, we had grilled flathead in the barbecue that my husband caught that morning. Even when the weather conditions are less than ideal, you can curl up on the huge patio and play card games while you watch the water flow by. Keep a look out for the resident possum and her baby on her back as well! I also came across my first ever python which was a cool (if heart-racing!) experience in itself. We will definitely be back.

We enjoyed our stay - my husband enjoyed the fishing and location of the property, being directly on waterfront was a bonus. We had gorgeous weather. Suited myself as a non fisherman for a short stay as it is access by boat only. We found it very quiet and although the restaurants weren’t operating we had good supplies and the outdoor bbq was used often. Was a bonus being allowed to take out fur baby with a gate keeping him contained.

Peace and relaxation

Don’t expect luxury but get ready to unwind and relax in this rustic accommodation overlooking the river. Even the inclement weather could not dampen our pleasure and enjoyment. The use of the tinny to explore the area was a real bonus and the close proximity to the Berowra Waters Inn was great. We had a wonderful couple of days. Studio apartment is a let down

The bathroom/toilet is outside the apartment. Had that been explained on the website, we'd have never chosen this accommodation. There are no bedside lamps or light switches near the bed. So, going to the toilet in the dark in an uknown environment turned out to be a real nightmare. I had to first make sure not to bump into any peace of the furniture as I stumbled towards the front door where the light switches are located. Going out onto the terrace meant getting wet because it has been pouring with rain most of the time. The area around the toilet is not well lit and it was difficult to open the door (probably because that type of door is not designed for the wet and humid weather). By the time I'd have gotten back to bed, I was wide awake. To top that up, the tin roof doesn't have whatsoever insulation and the noise created buy possums running up and down the roof was keeping us awake too. On a brite side, the terrace is great and offers a breathtaking view of Hawkesbury River, and staff are realy friendly. We gave two stars because what should have been a fantastic and relaxing holiday (and a present for my husband's birthday), it turned out to be a real let down. The shortfalls are significant, thus the accommodation is overpriced.

So fabulous!

This was such a relaxing break. Super peaceful quiet part of the world. We had everything we needed in our studio to self cater. Everything was clean, fabulous view & direct access to the river. It was great to have use of the tinny, canoes & paddle boards. Sue is a fabulous host, very welcoming and ensured we had a great time. Looking forward to returning to that little paradise ! Sydney’s hidden gem!

What a lovely treat this getaway was. Sue was very accomodating and was a fantastic host. We loved exploring the river using the tinny. Our dogs loved it too! The deck was large and peaceful with the view of the river. We will definitely be back!
