Kagawong Hilltop Retreat

Our apartment is located inside a Triplex which was once a Two room School built in 1963. The school was an addition to the one room School House that was built in 1903! We purchased the building in 2016 and lovingly restored the entire building. We now operate a Drive Thru restaurant in the Stone School House, which was once a Cafe before the Pandemic restrictions. We are now happy to share our units with travellers who come and enjoy our beautiful Island!
Located on top of the Hill in Kagawong, your stay here will place you within walking distance or a very short drive to all that Kagawong has to offer! The Famous Bridal Veil Falls is very close by, and if you go early in the morning or evening you can practically have it all to yourself! The trail from the falls leads to the quaint little village of Kagawong with a beach, playground, and seasonal shops! After a day of exploring all that Kagawong has to offer, you can head back to your own spacious apartment and relax!

*******Please not that although VRBO thinks we are on a lake, we are NOT on a lake. We are located in a triplex, adjacent to fields and an auto shop. A short drive or walk to the village of Kagawong will take you to Lake Huron or Bridal Veil Falls.
*As our unit is in an apartment complex, you will hear footsteps from the above unit, and there is noise that comes from the Auto Shop (open 8-5 Mon to Fri)located behind our building.

This vacation rental is perfect for your island vacation. Its proximity to other attractions is perfect, the unit is very spacious and neat. Communication with host is seamless. I will definitely recommend.

We had such a wonderful stay! This place is even more beautiful in person—spacious, cheerful, thoughtfully decorated, and incredibly peaceful at night. We slept so well! The kitchen was exceptionally well stocked, the bathroom was huge, and everything felt so comfortable and welcoming.The location was perfect for revisiting the Island 20 years later and sharing so many of its magical sights with our family (and our dog!). My son was especially delighted to find a stuffed bear waiting for him that looked just like his own at home. It felt like such a special little touch.We loved our stay and truly hope to come back, hopefully for a week or two next summer. Thank you again for making your beautiful space feel like home!

Very beautiful and spacious apartment.We were here to visit family who stay in the trailer park nearby, so it was the perfect location, right off of the highway and just down the street from the shops in town.The check in process was easy and the unit we rented was very accessible. We had a great stay!

Our property is located in close proximity to the beautiful Bridal Veil Falls in Kagawong. This is where you will have the opportunity to explore the Falls in the quiet times, for example early morning and evenings. The beauty of Kagawong is loved by many tourists and therefore very busy in the afternoon. You will have an advantage of visiting when you like! The nearby Village of Kagawong is a beautiful place to spend the day at the beach, grab an ice cream at the Marina and of course sample some delicious chocolate from Manitoulin Chocolate Works! Our apartment location means you are centrally located to the entire Island! With lots of small towns, beaches and hiking trails all over the Island, your stay with us will allow you to explore more easily. Come and enjoy the beauty of Manitoulin Island!
