Great price, great quiet location. Had everything my daughter and I needed , and the hosts were very pleasant and friendly to deal with.

I didn't like the websites that I used to get to book this room but once I dealt with the Hosts directly it was excellent. They were very helpful and lovely to deal with, even lending me a bike. This is a VERY nice family. Because I'm a bit shy I didn't share the kitchen with them apart from cups of tea etc. but they made it clear that I was very welcome

We were very happy with our bedroom and ensuite. Modern and clean. Plenty of toilet paper, a hairdryer provided, in the two bathroom drawers there were shampoo, conditioner, dental floss etc which had been left behind from other guests for our use. We had the use of the large kitchen, and laundry facilities. I only did a little handwashing and appreciated the use of the clothes line. The view of the golf course from the kitchen was a novelty.We liked our host family. Wayne was very friendly and we found the three children delightful. The children were unfazed by new people arriving. I appreciated getting the benefit of Wayne's local knowledge. We were able to easily catch a bus into the CBD and return. I was attending an event at the Bottle Lake Forest on Saturday morning and l found the short distance from Ester and Wayne's home very convenient as we were unfamiliar with that area of Christchurch.
