Right in the heart of the old town. Very historic and romantic.

This is our 9th year short-term renting this apt. It is by far our most popular and favourite apt. You can rely on solid, professional and courteous treatment.

This 4 room apt. is located just 3 blocks from the heart of Prague’s historic center -- old town square. Private and quiet, it fronts on a garden and adjacent arcade and loggia. It is next to the small and silent, misty winding streets of the old town, as well as blocks away from the most popular nightspots and many of the city’s best restaurants.

The apartment is fully renovated and fully furnished. One bedroom has a king-sized bed, and the master bedroom has a super-king-sized bed which separates to 2 single beds, plus a living room (with sofa bed) and a kitchen. The living room and master bedroom look to the garden, where it is also possible to sit and relax or eat. A free parking lot is located around the corner from the apartment. The metro is a 5 min. walk. The area is very safe.

The house dates back to gothic times, and has historic details and a magnificent hand-carved late renaissance balustrade in the entry of the building. The city's most popular and visited places -- the Charle's bridge, old town square, the great Parizska street, and Wencelslaus square (shopping district) are all minutes away by foot.

The apt. comfortably sleeps up to 2 couples, and there are also numerous sofa beds for children or guests.

Why Robin Moorman chose Old Town

I chose to buy a vacation rental in this location because of the profound historical value and fantastic location - blocks away from the old town square, which is the heart of the old town, that means it's located within of the best restaurants and most popular 'hotspots'-- but the house is located on quiet, winding, ancient street.

What makes this apartment unique

You are in the very heart of the historic old town, so all of the great sites are just beyond your doorstep.

Perfect location, old world charm plus modern amenities.

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved our stay in Prague at the Abbot’s property. The home is in a quiet neighborhood with a courtyard entrance, within easy walking distance to many sights such as Old Town, Jewish Quarter and even Prague Castle. Apartment is full of old world charm yet has every amenity you might need while traveling. Even though apartment doesn’t have air conditioning, inside was very comfortable with open windows and fans even when outside temperatures were warm. Michaela, Robin’s colleague, made the booking experience easy and stress free. She was always very responsive and helpful in answering questions. Our favorite dinning experience was at Boat Matylda based on her recommendation. Other recommended and enjoyed restaurants include the Irish Pub right across the street, Nostress a couple blocks away, and Pizza Nuova. I would definitely stay here again on future trips to Prague!

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for the positive feedback. I’m glad you enjoyed your stay and your visit to Prague. We do everything we can to make sure our guests have as wonderful a holiday as possible. About the air conditioning in the apartment, normally it is rarely necessary. This year was abnormally hot. Maybe it's global warming. As you saw our historic walls are more than three-feet thick, so it's almost always cool in there. Nonetheless, thanks for pointing that out. We will buy air conditioning very soon if this heat keeps up! PS - We all love Matylda, it's one of Robin's favorite too.

Check in was seamless. The guidebook in the apt was helpful to learning about the area restaurants, shops and amenities. A thoughtful touch. Very clean and had everything we needed. Lovely, quiet area. I would stay there again and can highly recommend it.

Great stay........perfect location!

Couldn't ask for a better location in Old Town Prague with everything you need to make your stay comfortable and charming decor. If I had one small negative it was the pillows for the bedrooms but who're in beautiful Prague! Already miss the Czech people, the historical buildings and of course the delicious beer :)

Na zdravi

Owner's Response: Thank you for the positive feedback, I am glad you enjoyed your stay and your visit to Prague. We worked a lot on the interior and furnishings. We do everything we can to try to make the guest's stay as wonderful as possible. Thanks so much for pointing that out with the pillows. The pillows are high-quality expensive pillows, but maybe their life span is waning or something happened. We will go there now and check it and get this sorted out asap. PS - nazdravi to you too!

A comfortable and spacious apartment in an ideal location

  • 5 of 5

The apartment is in a great position for exploring the Old Town or crossing the river to the castle and surrounding area, being located in the middle of the Jewish quarter and just 5 minutes walk to the main square.

There are two good sized bedrooms a comfortable lounge area and a kitchen dining area. The central heating system is really good with underfloor heating in the bathroom and the opportunity to light a real log fire should you wish. The instant hot water allows for a really good shower.

Robin the owner is very helpful and quick to respond to any queries.

Great location! Charming comfortable quiet modern accommodations in historic building.

First, location: Old Town Square is only a seven minute walk, yet you feel like you’ve hidden yourself in a real old Prague neighborhood. We stayed here for three days in December with our three college-aged children, and we were able to walk everywhere in historic Prague.

Second, this place is charming and quiet. You enter into a courtyard through an old wooden door (with modern security). The apartment is located on the first floor but you feel safe because of the courtyard entrance. You look out on the courtyard, not the street. This, combined with VERY thick walls and double windows, makes it very quiet.

Robin arranged for the five of us to be picked up at the airport. Definitely take advantage of this because it makes check-in easy and it’s always nice to be met outside customs by a smiling face and a waiting car. Our driver, Radek, was friendly and helpful and he arranged our ride back to the airport upon departure.

My wife and I shared the master bedroom, our daughters used the twin beds in the second bedroom and our son slept on the living room sofa. Beds are a little noisy and not luxurious, but comfortable. However the heated floor in the bathroom IS luxurious, especially in chilly winter Prague. Two basins in the bathroom make sharing one bathroom among five people tolerable. The shower was nice once we figured out how to keep it hot (gentle knob turns). The kitchen appears to be adequately appointed to cook for yourself but we only ate breakfasts in. All five of us fit comfortably around the table. The heat worked well, as did the fireplace. One evening we stayed in and listened to Christmas music around the fire. I would prefer the fireplace in the living room but it was still nice to sit around the kitchen table. Robin provides good wood and it’s easy to start and seems safe.

We loved the neighborhood—with a convenience market just across the street on the corner, a fairly legitimate Irish pub directly across the street, a florist a couple doors down, and a great bakery three minutes away. Coffee shops open late in Prague so get your morning coffee at Bake Shop. You are a few minute walk from the Vltava River, Pariska Street, and all of the moving historical sites of Josefov. It’s a hike up to the castle and Strahov Monastery, but we preferred living in this location to Mala Strana or other tourist areas. One other thing that’s cool for science geeks: Christian Doppler lived next door during the 1840s.

Highly recommend!!

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review, any and all feedback helps. I am glad that you and your family enjoyed your stay and your visit to Prague. Thanks so much for pointing that out with the beds. The mattresses are high-quality expensive ones, but the beds in the green room are made from solid wood and can creak some times. We will go there today and oil them up. We’ll check the bed in the pink bedroom too. Thank you also for the nice praise about Radek and the pick up service. We highly recommend it. It makes everything so much easier.
