Wake up to spectacular views of Bear Lake and the surrounding mountains from this adorable and secluded, family-friendly getaway. Inside this home, you'll find a great room featuring a modern kitchen with stainless steel appliances and plenty of counter seating, a dining table, and a gorgeous living area with a cozy sectional, warming gas fireplace, TV, foosball table, and large windows offering lake and mountain views. Spend the day on the beach, then come back to quickly spritz away the sand with the outdoor shower decorated with a painted surfboard. Outside, fire up the gas grill and dine alfresco on your expansive, furnished deck. And when you want to get down to the water's edge, the lake is just a short stroll away.

This home is located alongside the turquoise-blue waters of Bear Lake. This natural freshwater lake straddles the Idado-Utah state line and offers beaches, lakeside parks, and various watersports. For other outdoor adventures, there are several hiking trails nearby that crisscross the surrounding mountains and valleys or take a journey underground for a fascinating tour of Minnetonka Cave, just 18 miles away. And for restaurants and shops, head south eight miles into the charming town of Garden City, known by many as the Caribbean of the Rockies.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Waterfront property not so much waterfront.

I would have given this property a five-star rating if the information that was given when asked originally right after booking was accurate. Everything in the property is as it shows and is very beautiful, the property itself has all the amenities that is advertised with one exception.. well sort of... "The dock". The house itself is a very nice home. Very clean, very well kept and in awesome condition. Enough parking there for four cars and some trailers if need be, it is right off of the highway so you have to be careful coming in and out as it is a busy highway, location is great near fish Haven on the Idaho side, the kitchen had plenty of utensils and appliances for everything we needed for cooking and for enjoying some nice fun. The backyard is spacious and has a very nice fire pit, large deck and a nice grassy area. The downside is that once you look out the back over the deck it's full of cattail reeds. There is a small trail cut in where pallets have been laid down out too a so-called "Dock". This doc only extends out about 30 to 40 ft past the back of the house, into a big mud pit. Even if the water in the lake was all the way full, it would be no more than 6 in deep at the dock. Nowhere near. Able to park a boat or bring any type of PWC up to the dock, not sure the purpose of the doc as it sits now. I would have given five stars had I been answered this question when I asked originally to vacasa if the house had a dock and if I could park a boat on it... The response I got back was a simple message that said... " The listing says it has a doc so it must have a dock" had I known you couldn't access boating whatsoever from here or even the lake by foot? I probably would have booked somewhere else. This was the reason why we booked this home, it made it inconvenient to now have to shuttle a few miles down the road to the marina each time we wanted to load somebody on and off the boat. We were pleasantly surprised for an early check-in which was very nice and that was a great touch. All other aspects of the home and the property were five star all of the way!!

Lasting memories

We had a fantastic time. Your place is so lovely and we truly enjoyed our time there. It is well suited for families with of all ages. There were so many fun amenities tailored to children. Thank you for helping us create such wonderful family memories!

Love this place!

We love this place! Have been coming for many years. The house is nicely furnished, spacious, clean and the kitchen is well stocked. Beautiful views of Bear Lake from the large deck. The fire pit is great for s'mores. Staff is very responsive to any requests. We'll keep coming back!

Fantastic home!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! This is our favorite place to stay when visiting Bear Lake. We’ve stayed at this home many times and will absolutely return again. It’s very comfortable and clean. The living space is a great size to accommodate a lot of people comfortably. We love that anyone in the kitchen can also interact with guests in the living room due to the open floor plan. The kitchen is well stocked. The home has plenty of linens to accommodate larger groups. The beds are comfortable. And the views….wow!!! You can enjoy beautiful lake views right from the living room (and master bedroom!), but I suggest spending time on the deck to take it all in. It’s so wonderful to have the lake right there to enjoy its beauty. The home is a little away from the busy parts of Garden City, which we love, but you can still get to amenities quickly. I’ll say it again, I highly recommend this home!

Wonderful view!

The house is right on the waterfront although it was too wet to walk to the lake (a few pairs of galoshes were provided!),very clean and well stocked. There was plenty of room for a mini reunion with my siblings. All of us would definitely stay here again.

A great Bear Lake location

This property was ideally suited for our family getaway. The home was clean, well-furnished, and well-stocked, with a great deck in back with a wonderful view of the lake. We greatly enjoyed our time there and would recommend it to others.

Great Time in a Great Place!

Our little family group of 9 had a super time!! The accommodations were really fun! We enjoyed roasting hot dogs and s’mores one night out in the back. We ate inside the rest of the time since there were mounds of cotton from the trees everywhere and the bugs were a little intense. Kids enjoyed basketball in the deck and exploring the back. They had fun with the little kayaks too. The views were gorgeous and everything was super nice. There was plenty of room to eat, play games and watch movies! The kitchen was well stocked and we did a lot of meal prep together there which was fun! Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful home with us!

Great stay on the water front.

Cabin was great. We loved the large open living, dining, kitchen area. We never felt cramped or on top of each other. The views from the living room & the master bedroom are stunning in the winter. The kids loved the bunk room. It’s laid out great. The wifi went out and Sue Johnson at Vacasa went above & beyond to ensure it was working again before one of us had to work remotely Monday morning. Kitchen was well stocked and washer & dryer were a bonus. We’ll be staying here again.

Wonderful home away from home

Well stocked with all the necessities even sun screen. Amazing kitchen! The home is very clean and well cared for. The private beach was much nicer than we anticipated and we spent a lot of time there. Our only complaints were minor-WiFi was slower than we had hoped and the walkway to the beach needed tended to (plants cut back and weeded).

Bear Lake waterfront

The location was great. We had only a short drive to anything we wanted to see or do. The cabin was clean and had plenty of space. We especially loved watching the sun come up over the lake from the patio. Hopefully we’ll be going back soon.

Good experience except for the key pad at the front door.

This was the first time renting a house. The house was clean and had everything we needed. My only complaint was since we never used a keypad we didn’t know you had to touch it with 3 fingers to activate the keypad. It would be nice when you give the code you mention this. Other than this we had a real good experience.

loved this place!

great location on the water! Beautiful view! The place had everything we needed and then some! Really enjoyed the fire pit! Deck furniture was very comfortable and protected from rain. Beds were very comfortable. Open floor plan. Temperature control in each room. Kitchen well stocked. Close to Garden City. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful place to stay!

We’ve stayed here a few times in the past, and the home has always been just perfect for us. It’s very comfortable and homey and has everything you could need. Everything is always in working order, and we never have any issues at all. If you do need to contact the owner, he’s very responsive. We love that the kitchen, dining, and living areas are all open. The views from the home and deck are absolutely incredible. We love that we have direct beach access and often are the only people in sight when we’re on the beach. The beds are comfortable, showers are great. There’s plenty of extra bedding and blankets around too. The kitchen is wonderfully stocked to cook your own meals if you want. The location is just far enough away from Garden City to be away from the busy parts but close enough to food options and shopping. We absolutely love this home and will definitely return!

Awesome Beach Front Property with a Few Drawbacks

This property was exactly as listed and we thoroughly enjoyed it. There were a few drawbacks: First, poor communication. I had to call VRBO and get the number to VASCA and call them to find out how to check in whereas other rentals contact me before departure with the necessary info. Another drawback was the owner not allowing check in until 4 pm and wanting us out of the property by 10 am. It was rather galling that we were asked to strip the beds, start the laundry and do the dishes all before 10 am, and having already paid a cleaning fee! If this stingy attitude was corrected, I would want to rent this property again.

Absolutely perfect!

This was our second stay in this home, and we loved it as much as the first time! It’s always spotlessly clean and well maintained. The open floor plan is perfect. Everyone can be together while cooking and eating in the kitchen/dining and others in the living room, and they accommodate a lot of people comfortably. There’s plenty of comfortable seating. We cook some of our meals while staying there and find the kitchen to always have exactly what we need and then some. There are plenty of towels for numerous guests. The beds are comfortable, the sheets are great, and there are plenty of blankets and bedding available. The bedrooms are a good size, and the view from the master is phenomenal! The views of the lake are amazing! The deck and outdoor space are superb. It’s wonderful having a bbq grill available as well as some lake “toys” (inflatable, paddle board, kayaks etc). There’s also a great fire pit and seating area in addition. The owner is very responsive when needed and super friendly. We love staying in this home and will absolutely do so again! Highly recommend!
