We never actually met the host but the apartment was first class. The location was excellent for what we wanted to do like exploring the local parks at Sabino Canyon and Cantalina State Park. The apartment was very well equipped, spacious and very comfortable. We are from the UK but have visited Tucson many times previously and Ventana Canyon is definitely where we would chose to stay, when we next visit Tucson, we would very much like to use this apartment again

Comfortable and clean

This would be a great place for two couples. Good separation between the two bedrooms. Everything was very clean and there were extra towels and pillows. The kitchen was also well equipped.

January Catalina foothills

This unit was very well furnished and equipped, not just with utensils put also with consumables such as paper towels and soaps. The few issues that arose while we were there for two weeks were handled very promptly and effectively by the hosts. An excellent place to stay.

Canyon View is the best place to stay in Tucson!

We enjoyed 14 warm and sunny days in this great condo unit, and only one rainy day! We were missing a few things in the kitchen, but Felipe took care of those items the day after we connected with him! You can't beat the view from this second-floor unit.... best of the several places we have stayed in this complex. We'll be back!

Great location

Watched sun rises over mountains. Good restaurants within short drive. Four Trader Joe’s are within 30 minutes! Well stocked for kitchen and laundry. Bring own shampoo. Hiking trailhead off parking lot. Stayed 2 weeks, golfed and hiked and almost everything is within 30 min drives. Would come back.

Another excellent stay!

This particular condominium has been our favorite for a few years in a row and we are always pleased with our accommodations, the owners, and their staff. I can never say enough about how well the kitchen is equipped so that we can prepare our own meals and those for our friends. This year's weather happened to be spectacular so almost every meal was eaten on the balcony which, of course, is equipped with a large table and chairs for dining. We have also enjoyed meeting the other residents that live there full time. It's a quiet property with friendly and courteous residents and we can't wait to come back again!

Spent a fabulous week at this lovely property in the Catalina Foothills. Great location for many of the places we like to visit when we travel to Tucson. Nicely furnished and well-cared for; kitchen was very well stocked. Entire unit was very clean! Owner was very responsive on the few times we reached out. We hope to make a return trip to this property!

Most enjoyable winter respite!

We were fortunate to find this property on short notice and they happened to have the open space for a short rental. Most unusual in the area, but we were lucky and enjoyed our time there. The host was more than kind and gracious and we appreciated that very much. The condo was for adults only so we probably will not rent it again. We have grandchildren in SO. CA and hope to have them visit next year. Otherwise it was ideal.

One of the best properties in the area

We (my wife and I) spent the month of February at this condo and were very happy with our decision. The condo was clean, comfortable and well furnished. The parking situation was very good (this has not always been the case with rentals in the past). We enjoyed hiking in Sabino Canyon and it was nice having that area being less than ten minutes away from the condo. There was a main road outside the complex but it was lightly traveled and noise was never an issue. Basha's grocery store along with an excellent Mexican and Italian restaurant were less than three miles away. This area also included: a Shell station, a CVS Pharmacy, a Starbucks, a gelato shop along with other restaurants and shops. In driving around Tucson, we found this area to be the prettiest and not overly congested. We would definitely stay here again.

Very nice

We loved this condo. The location was great and at night the view of the city lights was beautiful. The owner was very thoughtful with nice touches... there were great restaurants close by and Bashas grocery store was fantastic. Everything was just perfect.

Very comfortable

The apartment was comfortable and well-equipped. The layout made it seem more spacious than the square footage would indicate as the two bedrooms and two bathrooms were separated by the kitchen/living room/dining room. The general area was nicely landscaped and well maintained. The pool and jacuzzi were also well taken of. We enjoyed our stay in Tucson and plan to return.

Highly recommended! My wife and I (mid-50's) stayed for a week in October 2017. The condo is light and airy, well-appointed with quality comfortable furniture. That it is on the second floor is a huge plus. We loved morning coffee (and evening cocktails) on the deck patio area overlooking the mountains - with a bit of a side view of the lights of Tucson. Although this is a fairly large condo complex, the vibe is entirely that this unit was our very own unique hideaway. Everything in Felipe's unit is high quality. Everything worked well. He was available if needed. You will need a car, but the attractions and amenities of Tucson are not far. Random thoughts or suggestions: This unit was great for us - we like our space - but it would also work well for a small family or a couple of couples - it is spacious and both the bedrooms and bathrooms are located at opposite ends. The bed we used was very comfortable, with plenty of pillows. The door lock entry system was excellent and easy. It was sooo nice having the laundry and kitchen pre-stocked with the necessities (including coffee!). Two pool areas - the close one is large, clean, with a good hot tub and a high quality community grill. Everyone we met here was pleasant. It is a quieter, low-key complex. The only minor complaint about the unit - and we hasten to add it did not cause us to waver from the well-deserved 5 star rating - is that the floors and carpet seemed like they perhaps needed a deeper cleaning. The cooling/heating/ceiling fan situation was perfect throughout our stay. In addition to Tucson's many restaurants, save some money (and time!) by eating some meals at home -- there is a Safeway grocery within 3-4 miles; also a Whole Foods, etc. We purchased a couple cases of water - invaluable for our many day trips on 95 degree sunny days.

Tranquil, lovely retreat spot

I was very impressed by this unit. The owner has stocked it so well with all the little things one might need. The decor is quite lovely, and the views from the porch and bedrooms are fabulous. The only advice for the owner is to not use the room deodorizers. There were 6 of them spaced around a relatively small two bedroom condo and it smelled very strongly of fake deodorizer smell. No problem, I went around and got the all and put them in a bag in the laundry closet. But I'd advise others to request they aren't used. There was no need for them, no bad smell they were hiding. Dealing with the owner or manager, Felipe, was very pleasant and he was prompt to answer any questions I had. Again, the attention to detail was very thoughtful: salt and pepper shakers, bottled water, new sponges, etc. I felt very taken care of in this safe, lovely condo.

I was originally going to book the JW Marriot at Starr Pass, but on the advice of my cousin who has lived in Tucson for 25 years, we decided to stay in the foothills near Ventana Canyon. As a travel agency owner, I typically book hotels. I’ve traveled the world and I am very fussy about my accommodations. I was a little nervous about booking through a website for private homes…but it was the BEST thing I could have done for my stay in Tucson! The condo far exceeded my expectations. The pictures are accurate, but don’t do the condo justice. It was extremely clean, decorated very tastefully, plenty of extra linens, fully equipped kitchen and the beds and couches were quite comfortable. We loved having morning coffee and evening cocktails on the balcony. Great views, singing birds, and no bugs! The location is perfect –a lovely, safe and quite neighborhood. The Ventana Trailhead is literally in the backyard. Catalina and Sabino Parks are only a few miles away. The food store and quite a few good restaurants are down the road a mile. No traffic. We used the pool and hot tub(very clean) almost every night after a day of hiking or exploring. The owner was so easy to work with. I used PayPal and received my deposit within days of checking out. I highly recommend this home. DO NOT hesitate to book with Felipe. You will not regret it. It truly felt like a home away from home - in fact so much so - we plan on returning again, but next time for at least a month. We still have so much of beautiful Tucson to explore! .
