We loved everything about this lovely home! Thank you Sebastien and Marie-Pierre for making us so comfortable. One piece of advice for other travellers: the bedrooms are only accessible by stairs, and there is no toilet on the upper floor. This was not a problem for us at all, but might be for anyone with mobility issues. Otherwise, it's perfect!

Charming and spacious cottage an easy walk to all of Rouen's sights. Americans take note: there is a dryer! The bathroom situation is unconventional to US eyes but perfectly normal and workable for French sensibilities. We loved the secure parking site, the amenities, and the gracious host.

A very interesting property

A lovely, period cottage, with bags of character.The hosts were very helpful and informative.It is only a short walk into the centre of Rouen, but has some excellent food shops nearby. But do ask where they are because you will never find them unassisted.

Ideal place to visit Rouen

We had a wonderful time. The house is in a great location - only 10 minutes walk to the train station (with excellent trains to Paris, if you fancy a day trip to the capital) and the historical town centre. There are two boulangeries and one small supermarket in walking distance (5 minutes). We didn't use our car at all, there's no need given that everything is really close by. We appreciated that we could park our car in the small yard. The house has everything we needed. The owners, Sébastian and Marie Pierre, were really helpful with any questions we had. All in all a great place to stay in Rouen!

Große Wohnung für 4 Personen (Paar zwei ältere Kinder). Die Wohnung ist in einem historischen Fachwerkhaus und sie ist sehr gut ausgestattet, der kleine Garten vor und hinter dem Haus kann auch genutzt werden. Die Vermieterin war bei unserer Ankunft anwesend und wir konnten mit ihr Englisch reden. Wir wussten nicht die genaue Hausnummer, so mussten wir ein wenig suchen. Es ist die Hausnummer: 103Die Innenstadt ist fußläufig zu erreichen, ca. 15 minWir können die FW sehr empfehlen.

Die Lage des Hauses ist sehr gut, man kann alles Wichtige zu Fuß erreichen. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ausflüge in die Umgebung von Rouen sind gut machbar.

karaktervol huis met eigen binnenplaats

Ondanks dat het huis pal aan een weg ligt waar redelijk wat verkeer komt, is er direct rust als de openslaande houten poort vanzelf weer sluit achter je. Ruime tuin rondom met voor en achter een zitje. Voor het parkeren op de gedeelde binnenplaats (nog 2 woningen komen hierop uit) moet je niet een al te grote auto hebben. Onze (4,75 x 2 meter) paste precies. Huis heeft een koel souterrain met een 2 persoonslaapkamer en inloopkast. Ook een (hele) kleine douche met wasbakje. Is te doen maar het wordt wel heel vochtig omdat er geen ventilatie of raam is. Begane grond heeft prima keuken en woonkamer met grote eethoek en een zitje voor de open haard. Trap naar boven met lage balken (lange mensen stoten ongetwijfeld af en toe hun hoofd). Hier een ruime badkamer en 2 overige slaapkamers voor 1 of 2 personen. Vriendelijke ontvangst. Huis ligt op ca. 20 min lopen van centrum, maar dat is terug wel heuvel op.

Petit séjour (3 nuits) avec ma fille de 20 ans. La maison est superbe. Un petit voyage à l époque médiévale a à l extérieur tout en profitant du confort moderne à l'intérieur. Nous avons apprécié la gentillesse de l accueil par les propriétaires.
