About this property
Renovated 3-bedroom flat with superb panoramic sea views
Saint-Idesbald is a well-kept secret. With its large beach, quality shops and upmarket restaurants, it's the ideal destination for families and gourmets.
The flat is located on the 5th floor of the Estran building, at the end of the Saint-Idesbald dyke, facing slightly west, and therefore benefits from an ideal location and panoramic view. On the one hand you can see the sea and the tranquillity of its dunes, and on the other you can see the sea with its long dyke providing a lively promenade of terraces and little shops.
If you are looking for peace and quiet, the dunes, visible from the flat, will offer you the luxury of calm. They are just 200 metres away.
If you are looking for a challenge and sport, the sailing club in the dunes (KYC 300m walk away) offers all the facilities you need, it has excellent kitesurfing and sailing equipment and our children like to hire wetsuits and SUP boards all year round.
We also like to hire bikes (from Rodeo's 300m walk away) for an early morning ride through the vast cycle paths of the inland area with its canals, green fields and border region with France.
If you're looking to enjoy a nice terrace, a delicious crêpe or waffle or simply do a bit of shopping, you'll find (about 200m walk in the other direction) everything you need in terms of restaurants, terraces but also your fresh bread, your delicious coffee with newspaper, the best fishmongers, clothes shops, design shops, pharmacies, supermarkets etc......
Finally, if you're looking to enjoy a day at the beach, reading or swimming, the beach is at your feet and you can hire deckchairs, windbreakers and other beach equipment within a 50m walk.
You won't need your car during your stay.
The flat
Renovated in 2006 and again refreshed and renovated in 2022, we keep our flat bright, clean and adapted to all the comforts you need.
Thanks to the large sliding windows that cover the entire front of the flat, you not only have an uninterrupted view, but you can also enjoy sunbathing on the terraces. One terrace connects the 2 large double bedrooms at the rear of the flat and offers you sun all morning. The other terrace, located in the living room at the front, enjoys the sun from midday until sunset. We highly recommend that you enjoy the 'golden hour' around 7pm (in summer) on one of the sun loungers, watching the sun set!
the kitchen
This open-plan kitchen has all the comforts you need (oven, dishwasher, microwave, large fridge with freezer, Nespresso machine) and is equipped with all the cooking utensils a chef needs for daily cooking. The central work surface is also oriented so that you can take full advantage of the sea view while cooking.
the lounge and dining room
Here we can be brief and to the point: light, space, comfort and everything is arranged around the panoramic view. Even if there is a flat-screen TV (cable and free wifi), the best entertainment is to sit and watch the view outside for hours :-)
The bedrooms
There are 3 bedrooms
1. a large master bedroom (13.7 m2) with a double bed (160x200 cm), a large wardrobe and a desk. It's also ideal for working remotely thanks to the light and wifi ;-)
This room has large sliding windows overlooking the rear terrace.
2. a second large bedroom with a double bed (160x200 cm) with separate shower and washbasin and enough storage space to stay for a month (12.6 m2) This bedroom also has large sliding windows opening onto the rear terrace.
3. The third bedroom with 2 bunk beds (4 x 90x200 cm) is ideal for children. (9.10 m2) This is the smallest bedroom and has no windows or terrace.
Bathroom
The large central bathroom has a walk-in shower, toilet and washbasin with large practical drawers to store all your belongings.
In total, there are 2 toilets (a separate guest toilet + the toilet in the bathroom) and 2 showers (the large walk-in shower in the bathroom + a large shower in the bedroom). So you have all the comfort you need if you are staying in the flat with a group of two families of 4, i.e. 8 people.
The apartment is located in a “purple” parking zone (zone III), which allows long-term parking, including Place Lucion with 34 public parking spaces, 4 of which are equipped with electric charging stations.
There are also many parking spaces in the surrounding streets, including A. Vanhoutte Avenue, where the waste containers are located.
In these streets, parking is paid every day from June 1st to September 30th. From October 1st to May 31st, parking is only paid during weekends, public holidays, and Belgian school holidays.
The rates are as follows:
• 1 hour: €1
• 1 day: €6
• 7 days: €30
Payment is possible at a purple parking meter, via SMS, or through applications such as 4411.be, yellowbrick.be, or easypark.be.
We look forward to sharing our flat with you so that you can enjoy an unforgettable holiday with your family, children, grandchildren, as a couple, etc.
Our flat is standard without sheets and towels. Please foresee to bring your own bedlinnen and bath and kitchen towels.
If you still have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask us.
We look forward to hearing from you.
