The House in the Valley

This typical and peaceful cottage offers a relaxing stay for all, young and old. Ideally located, with a fantastic view on the valley, it enjoys the calm of the countryside, is minutes from shopping and half an hour from the sea (Honfleur, Deauville).

The house is an old farmhouse that dates back to the mid-19th century, changed, furnished and modernized over time. You enter through the timbered South facade, directly into the living room which includes a huge fireplace and a ceiling with beams. There is a dining table. This room overlooks a living room with sofa bed and TV, with DVD player. Wifi is everywhere in the house and shines outside. The phone goes very well with the "wifi call" function. On the other side is the kitchen, equipped, overlooking the outside. And a bathroom with a large sink, machines, shower and toilet. On the first floor you will find a large bedroom in the attic. There are two 90 beds that can be put together as a king size bed (180x200). One bathroom (with toilet and sink). A second room, with a mattress on a tatami mattress and a desk (access to adsl). Then another bedroom that has a queen-size bed (160 x 200), with beautiful views of the valley.

The house is located between field, flowered meadow and river. In the distance, cows, sometimes one or two deer pass through the landscape... 15 minutes walk, you can reach the river. 2 km away is a fish farming center and a pond where you can fish. 5 km away, the city of Cormeilles offers all the local shops, a supermarket, a gas station and car washing. It takes about 30 minutes to connect the first beaches including Villerville where a "Monkey in winter" was shot with Belmondo. It takes the same time to discover and enjoy Deauville, Honfleur, Pont-Audemer, the Normandy Venice, the banks of the Seine. And in about an hour, the landing beaches...

The house does not have specific safety equipment for young children but under the responsibility of their parents there are a baby bed (Verbaudet) and a high chair (Verbaudet).

You have access to the whole accommodation as well as the front garden. The garden tools cellar is not accessible. Your host will welcome you and may stay in the outbuilding which is behind 50 m below.

Tall guests should pay careful attention to the ceiling on the first floor, with beams at a maximum of 2,20 meter high.

Your host, Pierre, may be from time to time in the outbuilding 50 m below the house, most of the time he is discreet and will only intervene, if he is there, in case of need and request. If he is not there, he’ll be reachable on his cell phone. Pierre will share the outdoor parking space. Two more car spaces are possible.

In addition, your host wants to communicate with the tenants (by email and phone) even if only to greet them ;-) and check that everything is ok. He'll send you a copy of his identity card, insurance, and welcome booklet. It is imperative that you send them back within 72 hours (3 days) max: copy of your identity card, resort insurance, as well as the signed contract and spa form in order to validate the reservation.
