The old farmhouse has been restored with great balance to look historic on the inside while providing the amenities of our current era. Loved having fires each night, the hiking trails, the wildlife, and the ponds. Great stay, thank you!
This was our 2nd time staying at this Property and it never disappoints. We had so much fun and can’t wait to come back next year. The hosts were super nice while giving us a warm welcome with the house phone and a nice call on our departure. We all loved the muffins along with the eggs, milk, juice, mini cereal for breakfast the following morning. We all had fun and enjoyed the lake. We forgot our fishing poles, so if your a fisher don’t forget yours.
The property was exactly what my husband and I were looking for...we wanted to unplug and truly get away for our 21st anniversary (we have four kids!!), and this was a beautiful time to reconnect with each other and with God and nature! It was a bit rainy for our weekend, but we enjoyed sitting on the front porch just listening to the rain, the birds, and looking at the beautiful scenery! Definitely feel rejuvenated and refreshed...able to get back into the day-to-day life. Thanks so much!
Gorgeous historic charm—the perfect place to disconnect! We had a wonderful stay! The historic farmhouse charm, eclectic art, and stunning grounds (lake, trails, and fire pit) made for a perfect getaway. The hosts thought of everything, including a first-morning breakfast, and gave us total privacy.Quick tips for future travelers:Arrival: Use the owner's written directions. GPS alone can get confusing.Tech: Cell service is spotty and Wi-Fi is weak. Skip streaming and enjoy the provided DVDs.Beds: Modern mattresses sit on historic rope frames. Some beds are squeaky, which may impact light sleepers.Light: Windows have no blinds. Privacy is guaranteed by the remote location, but expect to wake up with the sun.Coffee: It is a traditional electric percolator (no filters needed). It makes a great cup once you figure it out!Highly recommended for anyone looking to unplug and reconnect!
It was a very nice and beautiful place. We wanted somewhere peaceful for a couple days away. The hosts were very welcoming. We will definitely be coming here again.
The farmhouse was such a wonderful, clean and a peaceful place to stay. The host was very kind by checking in on us upon our arrival and by leaving just the simple little things like eggs, butter, milk, and of course some snacks. My husband and I would definitely stay her again!
Everything was amazing.. The host left us fresh fruit, fresh baked muffins, and stocked refrigerator with things to make our first breakfast, eggs, coffee, butter. Cereal and snacks.. Everything was Super clean. Just what we needed to make our Valentines Day weekend so Special!! Will def be coming back.. thank you so much!
We all enjoyed fishing and paddling around the lake. We loved being able to have campfires several nights. We enjoyed watching all the deer, turkeys and chipmunks. It was all so relaxing and peaceful.
If you are looking for peace and relaxation, this is the place for you. The house is amazing. The land is a slice of heaven. The lake is an added bonus. Will definitely be back again! So many memories made!
Beautiful and secluded from all distractions, close to Amish country for shopping. The charcoal grill was small, would have been nice to have a larger gas grill. Enjoyed the screened in porch and the fire pit! Great place to stay to get away from life for a while.
