We are on 20 acres and have 2 cabins for rent on our property. The pool, palapa, and outdoor kitchen is a short walk from the cabin and located next to our home. This area is shared with both cabins. I have had several people ask about hosting parties, baby showers, etc. Anyone not included in the reservation should not be on property without permission from the host. Maximum number of guest for this cabin is 6.
Front door opens to a living room furnished with well appointed leather bar stools, sofa and chair. On cold nights don't hesitate to turn up the faux wood burning stove. The master suit has a queen size bed with an exterior door to a covered porch which overlooks the pond. Tuck the kiddos into their rustic bunkbeds after they have had a day playing outdoors enjoying a closet full of games. In addition to two bedrooms enjoy a queen sized loft with barn doors and a adjusted air flow system to keep guest comfortable and a desk for those who might need to check in at the office. The kitchen is not just spacious and equipped with all the necessities it is stocked with fresh on site farm eggs and sausage. Other amenities include a rock swimming pool, his and her pool side restroom/shower facilities, palapa, outdoor kitchen, fishing and walking trails.

Fabulous getaway in the country. Singing frogs, birds, and bugs. Beautiful trees. Pool, swing and tons of games for kids, fire pit for s’mores, jacuzzi (using next time!), jacuzzi tub, wonderful covered porch to watch the aggressive (hilarious) ducks/geese and thoughtfully stocked with actual food in addition to needed but often forgotten things. Wonderfully thoughtful and restful.
This was the perfect place to stay when visiting the Texas Renaissance Festival with a toddler and a preschooler. A peaceful retreat after a day of crowds. The size of the cabin was just perfect for a family of four. Everything was spotlessly clean. Materials/ construction top quality. Nice towels. Bed was firm and comfortable (definitely beats 2 or 3 star hotel beds). Kitchen has everything including plastic kid’s plates and utensils. Nice smelling hand soap. I forgot makeup remover wipes, but host provided. Pool area better than pictures! Kids loved watching the geese and the ducks. The tree swing, closet full of games, and chest full of pool toys were all a big hit. Our four year old did not want to leave.
We escaped Houston for a 3-day weekend in April 2022 and stayed at one of the two cabins on the property. The cabin is great, very well equipped and nicely decorated. It was very quiet, which is exactly what we were looking for. Mitch and Cassie, the owners, responded to all our needs, and even gave us some fresh-laid eggs and home-made sausage that were just delicious. They gave us some good restaurant recommendations too, for trips into nearby towns: we enjoyed burgers and chicken fried steak at Whitehall, and visited Navasota and Magnolia. At night, stargazing by the firepit while cooking up s'mores and relaxing in the hot tub. Highly recommend the cabin.
Couldn’t have asked for a better first VRBO vacay. The property was and home was beautiful. Stocked with everything needed and than some. Owners were extremely friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.
We absolutely loved staying here. We rented both cabins which allowed everyone we loved to be there, but with some space. It feels completely remote, but relaxing, and was a short drive away from the ren faire (so in my world, that means it was perfect!) The beds were comfy! Highly recommend.
Loved this property and the cabin! Cabin is so new and clean and property is gorgeous!
Met Mitch and his son Tyler and they were beyond friendly and welcoming. Will stay there again for sure!
I can’t possibly say how much I loved this property. I truly felt at home here. They welcomed me and my family like we were their family. The cabin itself was roomy and immaculate. Everything was perfect.
This was supposed to be a quiet getaway for my girlfriends & I but became a great family fishing weekend! The location made it very easy to get to from Houston, and the drive was pretty. The cabin had everything we needed and was comfortable. We really loved walking out to fish anytime we wanted and the fire pit was perfect for dinner! Loved having the owners onsite - they really went above & beyond our girls and we even boiled up some fresh eggs for snacks! My favorite spot was morning coffee on the dock with the ducks. Great change of pace!!
Me and my friends found this amazing home and we chose to rent it out and when we arrived there the host greeted us with open arms and was a very amazing guy the house is really nice inside and out and there is a lot to do on the property we enjoyed our stay there we would recommend this house for everyone
