CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: AMENITY CLOSINGS EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 27, 2025

SunDestin Beach Resort is currently undergoing exterior construction around the property. The indoor pool, outdoor pool, and on-site restaurant are projected to be closed until the beginning of January 2026.

Please be aware that construction activity may result in noise between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM daily. Our goal is to keep you informed ahead of time so you can make the most of your stay with us.

Parking in the main lot may be limited. Please note that the drive-through area at the main lobby entrance, typically used for loading and unloading luggage, may be temporarily closed. Each one-and two-bedroom condo is allowed one vehicle only. Any additional cars will need to park in the overflow lot across the street.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience and understanding as the resort works to improve and enhance the overall guest experience.

Right in the heart of Destin, FL sits SunDestin Beach Resort by Scenic Stays. Our team is always available at the 24-hour front desk. Amenities of the resort include outdoor and indoor pools (heated seasonally), outdoor hot tub, a fitness center, a gift shop, complimentary DVD rentals in the lobby and more! Additional seasonal amenities include a tiki bar, and beach chair and umbrella rentals (for an additional fee). SunDestin Beach Resort will easily become your go-to beach getaway.

Once you enter SunDestin 904, you’ll pass the bedroom and two bathrooms- one full and one half. Both are completely renovated with plenty of counter space for all your toiletries. Hall bunks are perfect kids, and the common area can be found past them. A fully equipped kitchen has plenty of room to cook meals and opens directly to the dining and living areas, both with plenty of seating for everyone. Enjoy the large flatscreen TV in the living room at the end of a day exploring the Destin area with a DVD. The balcony has seating for three to enjoy the sounds of the waves crashing nine floors below. With a sofa bed in the living area and a king-sized bed in the master, plus the hall bunks, there’s enough room for six guests in this one-bedroom condo.

Guests under 22 must be accompanied by an adult chaperone throughout their stay. Pets are unfortunately not welcome and are subject to immediate departure if found to be inhabiting a property. Smoking is strictly forbidden.

Please note that La Dolce Vita is the beach service vendor for this property. While beach service rentals are not included in your stay, you can easily contact them directly for all your rental needs.

SunDestin Beach Resort lies right in the middle of Destin, with Big Kahuna’s and The Track less than a mile away and shopping and dining just four miles west at Harborwalk Village. Family Fun + Best Location

We are a family of 4 that took full advantage of breakfast on the balcony, splashing in the pool, chair service at the beach, and quick snacks at the hotel restaurant! The condo is in the perfect location, close to everything! We highly recommend Lulus and Boshamps for dinner!

Needs updates

Overall the stay was fine, but the unit could stand a few updates. The living room furniture should be cleaned or updated, along with all of the pillows in the unit. The kitchen could use a few more cooking utensils like working tongs and slotted spoons. The dishwasher door cannot be completely opened due to the location of it in the kitchen and it seems to have issues closing when you need to run it.

Exactly as described and even better than we expected! The SunDestin Staff and Security Personnel were courteous and accommodating in every way. Other than the few days of TORRENTIAL RAIN, every aspect of our stay at SunDestin Resort was wonderful!

Great place to stay just needs some updating

We have always stayed at Sundestin and had a wonderful experience. It is very clean and the staff have always been exceptional as well. The views of the ocean and sunsets and sunrises from their rooms are phenomenal. The condos could definetely use some updating but overall it served its purpose. We had everything we needed to cook provided for us and that was nice for breakfast and lunch. We enjoyed our stay this past week and would love it even more if the condos were a little but more roomier and updated. Overall awesome place to stay.

Great condo!

Everything and everyone was so nice and helpful! The owner just needs to add more kitchen supplies to cook with. Bare minimum when it came to pots and pans and knives. We had to get creative! Otherwise, everything else was perfect!

Good Stay in Sundestin Unit 904

Location of property is excellent. To my relief, unit was exactly how it appeared in the pictures online. It was clean and had all that we needed to make our 5 night stay enjoyable. It was really nice having access to a full kitchen since we didn’t want to have to eat every meal. Some minor maintenance issues need to be addressed - mildew on the ceiling in the bathroom, kitchen and balcony. Mildew spots on the shower curtain. Faucets in bathroom and kitchen need slight maintenance. Loading the dishwasher is a challenge since you cannot open the door all the way due to refrigerator. Could not figure out how to get the tv in the family room to work so we could watch regular cable channels. TV in the bedroom did not have this issue. Table on the balcony is rusted and so leaves rust spots all over the tiled floor would suggest replacing as it takes away from the look of the balcony. Would love to have had a longer on the balcony to relax on. Unit is directly above the pool so you are subject to all of the sounds coming from that area during the day. All of these things were minor and in no way prevented us from enjoying our stay in the unit. The carpet in the common hallway area of the building leading to the elevator on the 9th floor needs to be be replaced. It is dark and very dingy. One of the four elevators was out of commission for most of our stay which was inconvenient over the Labor Day holiday weekend. You are not allowed to use your private umbrellas on the beach, they must be rented. An umbrella and two chairs rent for $40/ day. They do allow private tents behind the chairs which take up most of the beach front. Wearing masks or social distancing is not required.

We absolutely loved the beaches and area of Destin! This was our first trip here but will definitely not be our last. The location of our stay was wonderful. The beach and common areas of the condo were well kept and constantly being cleaned and dried of sand and water. The condo itself was not very clean, floors had hair in the corners and on the baseboards, doors clearly had not been wiped down in areas that people touch, two bugs walked across the kitchen floor from under the fridge and there was stuff stuck in the garbage disposal. We had to call for maintenance three times during our stay. The first day we could not get into the condo because the door was broke. One day the toilet overflowed because it kept running after being flushed before we walked out for the morning. And the closet in the bedroom where the air conditioner blew was letting out hot air and the temperature in the condo was not staying cool. The kitchen items available were very sparse. There was no frying/sauté pan so it made it difficult to cook a few things we had bought, no grilling utensils, the kitchen utensils provided were cheap and on the verge of breaking when we used them, and the kitchen faucet was flimsy and hard to use for bigger pots. For the price we paid I expected better. Guest services and maintenance were wonderful except the misinformation by a rep over the phone before our stay in regards to bringing our own chairs and tent for the beach. We will definitely be back to Destin in the future.

Sundestin is our favorite

I took the kids for a quick Mother's day trip and any time we go to Destin I always check Sundestin first for availability. You can't get a better location. It's directly on the beach, it's super clean, has everything you need and it's in the heart of stores and restaurants so you can basically walk anywhere you want to go.

Great condo for family vacation

Perfect location right on the beach Great view. Provided pretty much all kitchen items you needed. Beds and pullout sofas comfortable. Friendly staff at the desk which is staffed 24 hours Only downfall is that the laundry is not in your unit $2 in coin needed for washer and $2 for dryer which is shared by all units on floor and no closet space to hang anything. However, ironing supplies are provided. Would definitely bring my family back here as well as refer others

Great location, clean, family-friendly

We have stayed at Sundestin many times and have always had an enjoyable stay. Condos are simple and clean. Access to the beach is awesome and easy. Fitness room was clean and adequate. This visit, my only complaint was our initial check-in experience. The employee who checked us in was over the top about rules and made a fuss about my children (ages 12 and 7) getting their bracelets on in front of her. We arrived late at night and were ready to get to our room. Several other guests we met during our visit commented on her rudeness. I also witnessed an encounter between her and another guest whose child had lost their bracelet in the ocean. I understand rules but it was just a lot. Our visit was great and I really hate to state the negative, but I manage customer service at my organization and would want to know if someone was being rude. Again, our stay was so much fun and we hated to leave.
