Tastefully decorated Cretan house located in a 12000 m² garden. It is fully furnished and composed of a living/dining room, a fully fitted kitchen, a bedroom with double bed and cupboard, a bedroom with 2 single beds and a bathroom with shower. The house is air-conditioned. It benefits from 2 terraces, 1 South and 1 North-exposed. The house is surrounded by an olive grove, a vineyard, a vegetable garden and 30-year old palm trees. The property is located 5 km from the town of Sitia and the local airport and 350 m from the sea. The local beach is 4 km while other wonderful beaches are located 20-40 minutes by car.

La residenza è come descritta dalle immagini, bella, arredata con gusto, il parco ha delle piante meravigliose, la distanza dalla spiaggia delle palme è di circa 20 minuti in macchina, mentre per la sera Sitia è una città molto accogliente con delle belle taverne per mangiare

Alles vorhanden, was nötig ist und noch mehr.Gemütlich eingerichtet, volle Ausstattung, zum Wohlfühlen. Alle elektrischen Geräte funktionsfähig. Alle Beleuchtungen ok. Fliegengitter vor allen Fenstern.Zwei Terassen, Carport. Nahe der Hauptstraße und doch ganz ruhig. Sitia schnell erreichbar. Klasse Restaurant fußläufig erreichber.Zwei Treppenstufen zwischen Wohnbereich und Küche/Wohnbereich gewöhnungsbedürftig. Kein vernünftiger Strand im Umkreis.Sehr empfehlenswert.

Schöne FeWo in ländlicher Idylle

Eine sehr schöne FeWo, die mit viel Liebe und Geschmack eingerichtet ist und der Ausstattung fehlt es wirklich an nichts. Die zwei Terrassen kann man je nach Wetter wählen, es ist beidseitig schön ruhig und begrünt. Einziges Manko ist die etwas irreführende Formulierung, der Strand sei 350 m vom Haus entfernt. Das Meer ist 350 m entfernt, aber es ist kein Strand; zum Baden sind wir immer ein paar Kilometer gefahren. Aber ansonsten haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt, auch die Gegend ist schön ruhig und (noch) nicht zugebaut oder überlaufen. B & C aus Deutschland

Wunderschöne Tage in einem gemütlichen Haus mit einem tollen Gastgeber

Das Haus liegt sehr schön in einem großen Garten umgeben von Palmen, mit alten Oliven-, Limetten-, Feigen- und Granatapfelbäumen. Die Terrasse ist mit einer alten Bourgaviläe eingewachsen. Dem Stil und Aufbau des Hauses merkt man an, das es von einer Frau entworfen wurde. Es ist gemütlich und praktisch zugleich. Außerdem glänzt es mit einer sehr schönen Einrichtung. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt.

Das Haus entspricht genau der Beschreibung, was Ausstattung und Lage betrifft. Die Vermieter ( Vater und Sohn) sind sehr nett, immer ansprechbar und erreichbar. Sie gaben uns wertvolle Tips, was Ausflüge, Restaurants und Badestrände betraf. Der Orangenkuchen zur Begrüssung schmeckte einfach köstlich. Immer wieder gern.

Ein Traum umgeben von Blüten

Wunderschön und ruhig gelegen. Wir haben uns in das Haus, die Umgebung und die netten Besitzer verliebt. Jeden Tag ein tolles Pläuschchen mit den guten Seelen des Häuschen gehabt. Fazit, wir kommen nächstes Jahr wieder!

Avoid this "house" at all costs

The house was so deceiving from its description that we chose to leave it to find a hotel and lose our deposit. It was dirty, the floors, table and all kitchen surfaces were sticky. On the table an old half eaten dried up cake welcomed us!! The shower was not high enough to stand up in and its tiles had not been cleaned in years. There was no standing room in the tiny bathroom/toilet. The 2 tiny bedrooms had only space for the bed/beds with no space to put down a suitcase, or anywhere else in the tiny place. There was only AC in the tiny living room and cats were running around from outside inside. If you are allergic to cats it is a nighttmare. The carpet in the living room was old and full of cat hairs. The house is advertised as being juxtaposed with another house. Truth is that there is also a 3rd house permanently rented touching this one. So this house is stuck between them. All this again on a tiny scale. Very claustrophobic. Lastly, it is about 5 km from the town of Sitia with absolutely nothing around it. This is a first time in the many years that i rented via Home Away that i had a negative experience, particularly at this level.

I am surprised that after 10 years in the holiday business we receive a 1 start review because we have never received less than 4 stars. We fully understand and respect that guests wait all year to spend their well earned vacations without negative surprises. We want all our guests to come back year after year and leave only with the best memories. And that is exactly what we have been achieving all these years. We are proud of our houses. We try to offer a very high level of service and so I will answer to your unjustifiably negative comment and lies in detail. 1) Cleanliness: The house was spotlessly CLEAN! The kitchen, bathroom, living room, bedrooms. The bed sheets are washed with high quality detergent and fabric softener in our own washing machine. We do not use a hotel laundry service. All these years we take great care with house preparation. ALL our guests have praised us for the high level of cleanliness. None has ever complained! So your comment is a straight lie! 2) Cake: We treat all our guests with a freshly baked homemade WHOLE cake. Most guests find it delicious and ask for the recipe. (again a straight lie!) 3) House size: The description specifies that this is a 70sqm house. This is a spacious apartment for 4 people! All ceilings are normal height for Greece. What you define as claustrophobic was perfectly normal for all our past guests! Since you were way above average in height I can understand that you may have felt a bit crammed but that would be the case in most houses in Greece! You could have warned me about your height and I would have recommended you a hotel with very high ceilings and king size bed. 4) AC: There are 2 powerful ACs. 1 in the main bedroom and 1 in the living room. They are more than enough to keep the whole house cool during hot days. Again a straight lie from you. 5) Cats: We never let the cats enter the houses. You may have forgotten to close a door. Cats are normal in Greece's countryside and villages, except in resorts where the whole environment is sterilised. 6) Carpets: All our houses have handmade, antique, persian carpets. But there were no cat hair (again a straight lie) 7) Distance and location: The description says that the house is 4km out of Sitia in a quiet area. This is what we offer: peaceful environment, beautiful garden, safe for children. This is countryside and of course there are no shops within walking distance. Sincerely, Pantelis

Lovely place in an excellent location for exploring the wonderful eastern beaches

The property is charming, and in good condition. The hosts are also absolutely charming and really helpful, so if you need any information or advice it is readily available. we wanted one or two extra bits for the kitchen and they appeared almost immediately- can't ask for more. I would certainly stay again.

Un lieu reposant

Nous avons passé 10 jours très reposants dans cette petite maison décorée avec gôut et très bien équipée, située dans la partie encore sauvage de la Crete. Lefteris et sa famille nous ont accueilli chaleureusement : gâteau fait maison et huile d'olive maison et nous ont conseillé tout au long du séjour en nous offrant figues et raisin du jardin. Nous reviendronsavec plaisir : le petit déjeuner bercé par les cigales et avec vue sur la mer permet de bien commencer la journée. Très belles plages à 10/15 minutes en voiture. Merci beaucoup Lefteris pour votre accueil. Thanks a lot for all !

Ruhiger Ort zum Erholen

Wir haben uns in dem Haus sehr wohl gefühlt, sind zu Hause angekommen. Bei unserer Ankunft stand ein lecker Orangenkuchen für uns bereit und das Olivenöl ist super, das wir über unseren kompletten Aufenthalt zur Verfügung gestellt bekommen haben. Die Beschreibung und Bilder entsprechen dem vor Ort, die Wohnung ist sauber und mit allem ausgestattet was man benötig. Der "Gardener" ist immer hilfsbereit, wir haben gerne mit Ihm Gespräche über Gott und die Welt geführt. Gerne kommen wir wieder an diesen Ort zurück.

Rundum ein Erlebnis

Wir haben ein Ferienhaus erlebt, das alle Anforderungen erfüllte. Dazu ein überaus freundlicher Vermieter, der uns mit einem Orangenkuchen begrüßte und alle Wünsche (es waren nur kleine) umgehend erfüllte. Eine beeindruckende Landschaft verbunden mit gutem Wetter vervollständigten unsere rundum tolle Urlaubszeit.

une très belle maison bien équipée dans un grand terrain

Nous avons apprécié le bon état et la qualité du logement, très bien équipé. 2 très belles terrasses donnant sur un grand jardin dans lequel les enfants peuvent jouer , le propriétaire est sympathique et résidant à coté très disponible. Les très belles plages de l'est sont rapidement accessibles en voiture et la région est encore sauvage , pas encore enlaidie par de vilaines constructions, la ville de Sitia n' a rien d' exceptionnelle , mais elle est facilement accessible, et on y trouve de tout.

Sehr empfehlenswert!

Wir haben Anfang Juni zwei wunderbare Wochen im Haus Oleander verbracht. Die Wohnung ist gut gepflegt und im englischen Landhausstil gemütlich sowie qualitativ hochwertig eingerichtet. Das Haus Oleander ist das Mittlere in einer Reihe von drei. Obwohl, die beiden andern Häuser direkt angebaut sind, bleibt die Privatsphäre gewahrt. Die Häuser liegen inmitten eines grossen gepflegten Gartens mit Palmen, Blumen, Kräutern und Weinreben. In diesem Garten konnte sich unsere fünfjährige Tochter frei und gefahrlos bewegen. Es gibt sogar einen kleinen Spielplatz für Kinder. Von den Gastgebern wurden wir mit einem Orangencake – die Spezialität von Kate – und einer Flasche Wein empfangen. In der Küche stand ein Kännchen mit Lefteris’ eigenem Olivenöl zum Brauchen. Auch bei den Kräutern im Garten durften wir uns zum Kochen bedienen. Besonders genossen haben wir die spontanen Gespräche über die Welt und das Leben mit Lefteris, der ein ebenso kompetenter wie interessanter Gesprächspartner ist.Von Agia Fotia aus lassen sich mit dem Auto verschiedene Tagesausflüge machen. In einer halben Stunde Fahrdistanz liegen verschiedene Strände. Einige davon sind traumhafte Sandstrände, die sich auf für kleine Kinder bestens eignen. Wir fühlten uns von Anfang an sehr wohl und willkommen. Vielen Dank für alles! Gerne werden wir wieder kommen.

Beautiful secluded location

Clean, well-equipped and comfortable house set in beautiful secluded grounds with immaculate gardens, palms and grape vines. Helpful and welcoming hosts. 10 minutes drive from Sitia, with shops, supermarkets and large weekly market. In Sitia, try 'Sitia Beach' for good food (not just pizza) and 'Mitsakakis' for galactoboureko and loukoumades. Clean sandy town beach in Sitia. Sheltered (pebble) beaches on north coast below Faneromenis monastery for swimming and snorkelling. Easy driving distance for excellent gorge walks at Riktis (shady, wooded, with waterfall and swimming hole), Zakros (excellent tavernas in Kato Zakros), Koklakies (swimming from deserted beach at foot of gorge).
