Beautiful spot! Close to things to do and at the same time providing peace and tranquility! Spacious home equipped with everything you might need. Kind and caring hosts who are there if you need them. We had a great stay.
Exceptional hosts; beautiful and peaceful property; everything we needed for a perfect adventure in Woodstock. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!
This is one of the nicest homes we’ve stayed in. It’s beautiful and very comfortable. Kat was helpful with recommendations and quickly responsive to all of our questions. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for our Thanksgiving stay. The linens, blankets and towels were plentiful and the beds were so comfortable. The location is close to town, but far enough for it to be quiet and peaceful. There’s a wonderful market nearby. We had an awesome time!
We had the best stay! The house is about 1/2 hour from Dartmouth and was the perfect spot to enjoy the week of graduation festivities while having a true home base. The hosts are amazing. Everything was really lovely.
We spent two delightful weeks at Dana Rd. The house offered everything we needed for our stay.We had the opportunity to tour Woodstock. Billings museum and farm is a must see. Would highly recommend.
We enjoyed every minute of our stay. The house was immaculate, functional, and so comfortable. The outdoor space is lush and we used the outdoor soaking tub every day. Thank you for the perfect landing spot during our stay in Woodstock!
This property is amazing! Well-stocked, comfortable beds with wonderful sheets, blankets and pillows. You feel like you are out in the country yet so close to town. Kat is a wonderful host. We highly recommend this place.
Overall we were pleased with our stay. A few minor suggestions we are communicating to the owners. Close to trails, farmers market and great amenities (bikes, games, etc)
Very clean & spacious for our family of four plus our son’s friend. The 15 yr old boys enjoyed playing ping pong in the basement & we all loved the vintage hot tub after a day on the slopes. Perfect location to ski Killington, Pico, & Okemo. The house offered all the amenities as if we were in our own home. We also loved seeing the horse from the kitchen window.
The Dana Rd House met all expectations and more. The rural setting was beautiful. We were able to enjoy the activities of the town and return to the relaxing environment of the house. Loved the sunroom, all the amenities, and especially feeding carrots to Nakita the horse. Sad to leave. Hope to return again
Wonderful late winter/early spring visit to Woodstock
My family and I had the best time at Kat's property in Woodstock. It provided a great long weekend escape with easy access to Woodstock, Killington, hiking trails, and Hanover. The house was cozy, clean, and well-equipped with games, sporting equipment, and cookware so that we could spend time as a family. Highlights were a pre-work skin up Ramshead and saying hello to the horse next door. We will definitely be coming back in the future.
This house was perfect in every way. The hosts, Kat and Matt, make sure that everything you could possibly need is available to guests. The house is exactly as described on line, is close to downtown Woodstock, skiing and hiking trails. We loved coming back to the house to enjoy the outdoor soaking tub and the wood burning stove. And of course, enjoying an apple with the host's horse was an added bonus. We definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a get away to the Woodstock area. Thanks Kat and Matt!
We stayed here during Thanksgiving week. What a gorgeous, warm, delightful house! Impeccably decorated, old-fashioned style, yet bathrooms and kitchen were beautifully upgraded for convenience. The location was private and totally quiet Kat and Matt were excellent hosts! Fantastic communication. We got a few inches of snow and they kept it perfectly warm and the driveway and roads were plowed bright and early! We couldn’t have asked for a better stay for our family holiday. Thank you. <3
This is our second stay at this lovely place. We’ve been to many VRBOs and have never stayed at one so well stocked/equipped! Kat has thought of all of the comforts one would want and then some. The house is clean , cheerfully decorated , and located in a quiet area.
A family would find skiing, hiking, snow shoeing,, and enjoying nature nearby. The town of Woodstock is quaint with nice shops.
Kat is a great host and quick to answer questions or solve any issue. We had no problems whatsoever!
We would stay here during any season! Superb home!

Just perfect!
We have just spent a wonderful week in this beautiful house! The house is perfect! The location is great - quiet, peaceful, pretty but still very close to Woodstock for popping in for dinner at the numerous high-class restaurants. The house itself has everything you would want in a rental property - and more! It was immaculately clean, very tastefully furnished and finished to a very high specification. The owner lives very locally and is on hand to recommend restaurants, Fall routes etc but is never intrusive, just helpful. I would happily recommend this home to anyone who wants a perfect base from which to explore this most stunning part of America.

Beautiful, relaxing setting very close to town!
First off, the house exceeded our expectations! It is very close to town and the farmers market. Kat was a very gracious host and provided everything we needed to feel like we were at home. Our daughter loved petting Kat's horses and feeding them carrots. The house was nicely decorated, beds were comfortable and we had no issues with the wifi. Our favorite part of the house was the outdoor patio area that had a nice table and chairs, hot tub and a chiminea which we used a couple of nights to roast marshmallows to make smores. Overall, we had a fantastic vacation and highly recommend staying at the Dana Road House. We are already planning a trip back to Woodstock!
This property was perfect for myself and my daughter (22) and twin boys (15). Super cozy with plenty of throw blankets and pillows and the kitchen was better equipped than my kitchen at home. We loved being greeted by the “neigh-bor” Nakita every morning and had so much fun feeding her carrots. The setting was gorgeous and convenient to groceries and the town. There were plenty of games, puzzles and books for rainy days. We even found umbrellas to use! Kat has really thought of everything.
Bedrooms and bathrooms were large and the beds were very comfy. The only slight disappointment was that I thought we’d be able to walk/bike to town. While I guess that’s technically possible, the house is on a pretty steep hill and the road is dark and narrow. But the drive was super easy and the town had plenty of parking, even on the weekend. I would absolutely recommend this house to couples, families or friend groups!!
We’ve stayed in Woodstock a few times before finding this place. My husband and I chose this house because of the location being close to Woodstock. We also used it as a home base to look for covered bridges during “leaf peeping season.” Although it was leaf peeping season and Woodstock was hopping with tourists we didn’t feel it. This house was just outside of the town. This house was the best location with very well stocked accommodations for my husband and myself. We felt like we were in a rural location. It was very cozy! We’d love to live there! We’ve already made reservations for next year.
We met Kat who is very kind, personable, attentive and a text away for any communication needs.
We purchased carrots for Nakita (their sweet horse) who patiently waited for her next treat, each day(more than once) She even neighed a “hello”when she saw us.
It felt like our home away from home!
Thanks Kat! See you next year!
We very much enjoyed staying in this home. The property is just minutes from Woodstock, but it feels like it is miles away. The yard is big with beautiful views of the hillsides and the horses. It feels very isolated (in the best possible way!). The layout of the house (den plus study) gives everyone their space. The owners were organized and easy. They provide plenty of instructions, suggestions, and maps of the area. We are already planning our return visit.
The kitchen was the best equipped of any house we have rented.
The home was exceptionally clean. the setting was peaceful and relaxing. The hostess was extremely accommodating.
The furniture in the living room could be updated, had a few spring issues, but that was minor. We were out most of the days .
