Good apartment - poor communication
It would help if there was more information in English. We were surprised when we arrived at the property at the allocated check-in time on Saturday afternnon to find that the owners were away for the weekend and did not get back until Sunday evening. Apparently we were supposed to telephone before arriving and obtain a code for a key-safe, but as everything we had been sent was in German (far too much for a non-speaker to translate), we were not aware of this. Fortunately a neighbour helped us to contact the owner, and we were able to get in to the property but it was very confusing and unnecessarily stressful. When the owner did arrive, he was very pleasant and helpful but the check-in itself was poorly communicated. Because we were not able to pay the tourist tax on the Saturday we missed out on 1 day of being able to use the transport/voucher system. There was also no information inside the apartment on how to access the wi-fi system, what TV channels were available, how to use the microwave - all of which we have had provided in previous holiday rentals (not viw HomeAway). Apartment itself was great, but communication could be a lot better.
