Good with several caveats

The hosts were incredibly considerate throughout our stay, even offering to cook for us after we arrived late to check in on our first day and offered us several spoils from their garden.However, communication between the host and myself was lacking previous to our arrival. We were unaware that we had to bring our own sheets and towels which we had assumed would be readily available. Although once again they were very accommodating and this was provided at no extra cost.I also feel their listing was misleading. WiFi was not available in the house were staying in, instead you had to stand in the garden a short walk past there house to catch even the most tenuous of connections. This would have been fine if the house had not be advertised with WiFi. They also stated a washing machine as one of the amenities but do not mention anywhere that not only were these appliances tucked away in a garage, they could also only be used at a fee of 10 euros. While this is not a substantial price it was an unpleasant surprise upon my arrival that I would have preferred to be aware of before hand.So while the house was very sweet and our hosts very kind, I wouldn't say our stay was five stars, nor particularly comfortable.

Dear Anthony, all the details were contained in the announcement on the platform and in the Welcome Guide sent in advance (in your language) that you did not read, or not fully. And we could have provided you with a Wi-Fi repeater if you had told us that the existing one did not suit you. Communication works both ways...

Un gîte certainement très agréable en été pour sa fraîcheur. En demi-saison, rez-de- chaussée très frais le matin et un peu humide. Les matelas des lits simples conviennent mieux à des enfants qu'à des adultes et surtout, les lits grincent quand un dormeur bouge ! Accueil des hôtes sympathique et très arrangeant.

Eléonore und ihr Mann waren wunderbare Gastgeber. Wir konnten uns sehr gut in Englisch und Deutsch verständigen. Wir haben tolle Tipps für unseren Aufenthalt erhalten. Die Wohnung liegt in einem alten Bauernhaus und ist sehr urig eingerichtet. Es war alles da, was man benötigt. Die Gegend war toll. Der Lac du Bourget mit den umliegenden Bergen und der Grand Columbier sind wunderschön.

Un gîte confortable, à proximité des lieux d’intérêt. La plage de Conjux n’est qu’à 15 min ! Le petit déjeuner à l’extérieur était vraiment appréciable. Merci pour le cadeau de bienvenue : la tartinade. Elle était délicieuse !

Nous avons aimé l'accueil chaleureux de nos hôtes. Une place plus confortable pour s'asseoir dans la pièce centrale serait appréciée (divan). Le réseau wifi n' était pas facilement accessible sans carte SIM. Le reste des commodités ( appareils électroménagers, salle de bain, vaisselle, lits confortables ,etc..) furent très apprécié.

Sehr schöne Woche in Rives

Wir haben hier eine sehr schöne Woche verbracht bei sehr angenehmen, hilfsbereiten Gastgebern. Wir werden gerne nochmal kommen. Man kann schöne Wanderungen unternehmen, an den Lac de Bourget gehen oder in die Berge.Vielen Dank an Eleonore und ihren Mann.

La région est sympathique le gîte annoncé avec deux chambres n'en a qu'une La seconde est en fait une pièce intermédiaire d'accès à la salle de bain et toilettes et à la chambre l'espace extérieur est situé à plus de 40 mètre le bas est sombre .... Merci d'avoir pris le temps de laisser un avis. Il y a bien deux chambres séparées d'une porte. Comme on le voit sur les photos, prises portes ouvertes exprès, la plus petite donne sur l'escalier et la salle de bain. La chambre principale n'est pas une suite parentale avec salle de bain attenante. Le rez-de-chaussée possède deux petites fenêtres au sud, un puits de lumière au plafond, plus une porte vitrée et un imposte, ces deux derniers totalisant 5 m2 vitrés. Le soleil donne par là jusqu'à midi seulement. Cela peut être plus sombre ensuite, mais cela garantit une bonne fraîcheur même en pleine canicule. Comme spécifié dans l'annonce et le guide de bienvenue, le jardin est indépendant et non attenant. Nous avons choisi cet emplacement de l'autre côté de la longère car il est plein sud et sous aucune de nos fenêtres ou de celles des voisins. Ainsi l'intimité de nos hôtes est préservée.

Grange rénovée

Les propriétaires sont très accueillants, et nous ont offert des tomates pendant notre séjour. Le logement est au calme. Il fait très chaud dans la 1ere chambre en période de canicule malheureusement . Par contre, le logement est inadapté avec des enfants en bas âge, escalier non sécurisé, pas de barrière en haut des escaliers, et garde corps non adapté, nous avons dû sécuriser avec le lit pliant, des tendeurs et des coussins pour éviter à notre petit fils de 15 mois de chuter. Séjour au calme
