ReTreat yourself with this sunny A-frame experience
If you have a desire to literally (or metaphorically) soak up the sun, drink refreshing reverse osmosis ice water, or rest easy knowing you're in a house that uses only non-toxic products, come stay for a spell! Even in the dead of winter, this charming A frame on the "island" of Gunnison Bend Reservoir can serve as its own retreat, even if all you do is lay on the floor of the loft and revel in its good vibes...or read, draw, write, create a masterpiece, or nap. If you're up for a more physical adventure, you're within walking distance of two beaches and have access to paddle boards and kayaks, as well as two boat ramps (and maybe we could take you to a boat ride). Maybe rock hounding in the nearby desert is your thing…and we have some supplies for that. Regardless, this house is the perfect spot for an adventurous getaway or some quiet reflection/creation time.
The cozy bedroom has a king sized bed. The loft has two queen memory-foam sofa sleepers and a nice view of the sunset. There are two bathrooms in case you need privacy or variety. The kitchen has an extra wide bar that seats up to 8 and has an additional fold-up table and chairs. The backyard contains a grill, fire table, and plenty of chirping birds in the morning. The deck, with its sectional and two rockers, is the perfect place to watch the sunrise or stargaze. A carport will protect your car or boat from the elements, and Horus, the best dressed chicken in town and protector of the property, is out front, just waiting to be in your selfie--or at the very least spend some time with you while you sit on the front porch rockers and admire the setting sun.
This house is an experience in and of herself and just waiting for you to experience her good vibes!

This home and host are wonderful. We had a very nice time near the lake and hanging out in the backyard as it got dark was the cherry on top. The house is immaculate and fully stocked with everything you could ever think of needing. The host was so kind and communication was great. I would definitely recommend staying here!
The house had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. It’s also in a nice, quiet neighborhood that felt very safe, as I stayed by myself for work in Delta and Fillmore.
Absolutely perfect! The bed is comfy, the decor is cute, and the backyard is inviting. The whole house has a lovely relaxing vibe. We will definitely come again.
This place and Kelli are both awesome. Don’t hesitate to book if you are going rockhounding or want to hang at the lake in Delta. Great experience…above and beyond

Incredible! Stocked with everything you could need. Amazingly maintained and decorated. Close to town but on a quiet street so you really feel like you’re getting away. Honestly wish all VRBO’s were like this.
Amazing house. Yard was great for dogs, and for all of us to hang out play. Everything was so clean, and had everything we needed. Kelly was a moto work with. She has put a lot of hard work and love into this sweet house. We will be back to swim and fish this summer!!! Thanks Olson’s.
Kelli is just wonderful! She is such a gracious host.
This was our second time staying here. It is so homey. It makes a great base camp for our rockhounding trips! Id recommend it to anyone who is looking to stay in Delta.
My son wanted to do a trip to topaz mountain for his birthday and we stayed here. It was worth the drive to the mountain. Great layout for a weekend getaway host was even so thoughtful to decorate for his birthday.
Wonderful home to stay in after long days rockhounding at nearby Topaz Mountain. Comfortable, clean, great space for a family of 6. Home is well stocked with essentials. Wonderful atmosphere. We loved the backyard and upper patio and 2 bathrooms!!! Host has made this a perfect place to stay and we felt right at home. Loved our stay!
This place was perfect for our trip to Great Basin National Park. The resevoir was beautiful and convenient to paddle board from the property. It was very quiet. The amenities were great, the place was clean and we had fun playing board games on the large counter. Would definitely recommend this place and stay again when passing through.
Owner went above and beyond, making the home feel like a home. Her thoughtfulness in providing personal care items you may have forgotten was very appreciated.

Glad to hear! Was hoping you loved it, and thank you for taking such good care of the house.
Kelli's place is clean, bright, and airy with many thoughtful touches for guests. .We appreciated the lovely fenced yard and two well-appointed bathrooms! Kelli herself is kind and communicative. Highly recommend.
Very comfortable property thoughtfully renovated to be fun and almost whimsical. Modern amenities, new appliances and granite throughout. The backyard was a real surprise, green and welcoming and completely screened from neighbors. Nice patio with a great deck above.
I went to many of the Rockhounding locations and it was so nice to return to this home.
The owner of this VRBO went out of her way on the design of this house. I felt this home could be on the beach. Attention to detail is important and she has nailed it! Being close to the lake was nice. The landscape is a wonderful respite in this desert community. I would recommend this home to anyone planning on staying in the area.

Casa del Sol is an oasis -- a clean, comfortable place to unwind and relax after a spending a long day rockhounding in the nearby desert and mountains. The signature metal rooster in the front yard is both a landmark and a welcoming signpost that brings a smile as you drive up to the carport at the end of the day. Casa del Sol's "Welcome Book" is a must read -- personalizing your stay by relating the story of the owner and the accommodation. Nice touch.
I don't usually write reviews but I have to say this is one of the most lovely places I have stayed on my VRBO travels. I really wish we had been able to stay longer and will definitely come back for longer in the future. Absolutely everything was better than perfect- so many special touches. From the decor, the supplies in the kitchen, the nice smelling soaps, the warm and fuzzy blankets, the deck and backyard, and most definitely the paint your own rock opportunity. So many special touches! My husband agreed that we will be back and for longer just so we can enjoy this cozy oasis. We had an amazing day trilobite hunting at U Dig (ask for Brent) and another at Topaz Mountain Adventures (Rhonda was fantastic). This place is the perfect home base for awesome rock hunting!
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Thank you so much! We will definitely come back again! Super clean, loved the positive energy, and overall great experience. Thank you!

About the host
Hosted by Kelli Anderson
I mostly grew up in this valley (California born, also spent half my adult life in San Diego). I currently teach English at the high school here, and I am always actively working on my next best-seller. I also enjoy anything in the water and have recently taken up painting.
Why they chose this property
I dearly miss the beach. This neighborhood is the closest thing I have to beach life here in this desert.
What makes this property unique
I remodeled this A frame three years ago, and I personally think she is uniquely gorgeous. And also, there is just something about the vibe in this house…
