Mornant is an old Gallo-Roman village of character with 6000 inhabitants. Pretty church and its fortified ramparts built in 1910 with sumptuous bas-reliefs. Medieval tower.

Many activities possible in the surrounding area: walks, hikes, the Roman aqueduct of the Gier classified as a historical monument, zoo of Saint Martin la Plaine 30 minutes away.
