Located in the small community of Cottageville, WV is this 150 acre farm found at the end of a country road. This is the family farm that I grew up on as a child and currently where my father lives in the main house and tends to the hay fields and approximate 30 head of cattle. The farm house sits just below the top of a hill with a nice view of a farm field that the cows enjoy grazing on. Guests can enjoy relaxing on the rap around porch, taking walks, and using the fire pit.

Excellent stay. This is my second time staying. Met Doug who lives in the main house. What a sweet gentleman. He toured me around the entire house and gave me the story of how it was built with his own hands based on what his late wife wanted as far as layout and also offered to take me around the property. This loft unit is spectacular. I can’t recommend it enough! I do plan to book for future stays.

Loved the loft unit. Very quite and out of the way. Worked too much (left early and came back late) to really enjoy the property. It is a ways off the main road. Only other concern was trying to shower in the bath tub and keeping the water contained within the bath tub itself was difficult. I would definitely stay again.

Beautiful Escape

I loved staying here and so did my dogs! With acres to explore, it was a beautiful escape. The property owner is very friendly and accommodating. Make sure that you follow the directions they send, you won’t be able to find it with just a GPS! One thing I wasn’t expecting was that it’s actually attached to the owners home, but there is a separate entrance, so it’s still private! It was actually nice that the property owner was there to show me around and give some backstory on all the cute antique items that the place is decorated with. There is a bonfire to sit around outside, and the owner also has a camper hookup that he rents out—so it would be nice for smaller reunions if a couple people stayed in the apartment and a couple stayed in a camper out front. Very cutely decorated. Definitely recommend !
