Rustic and remote. Close to our venue. Served our needs. Not the Hilton and that was what we wanted. The only thing we missed was a kuerig but a coffee pot was there. Wildlife was abundant with a stream behind the cabin. Great getaway...

This was indeed a charming cabin in the woods, however, it needed some love. The kitchen could use some work. The outside lighting didn't work.

Hello Allen, Thank you for your feedback. We are working on funding to renovate the kitchen and hope to do so very soon. If we were told the porch light was not working, we would have repaired it immediately. We haven't had any issues with it since then, so we will check the switch and wiring to make sure all connections are good.

Hello Stormy, my wife and I purchased the campground a couple of weeks after your stay and have replaced the shower heads with hand held units that sit much higher when attached to the bracket for regular use. I am 6 foot and can now very comfortably take a shower in any of our cabins. We are sorry for the inconvenience and hope you will give us another chance in the future.

Host was good. The bed was horrible, slipped all over the place, hard to get in because the edge the bed sank on the edge. The kitchen sink was stained and chipped. Dead bugs on the window sills and roach traps set in plain sight all over the cabin.No instructions on how to use the heater or the old Roku remote. When you are not familiar with the equipment instructions are needed. Also, it’s winter, a snow shovel would have been nice. Snow on the porch and steps. Really slippery. Not real happy with the experience, but the view was beautiful.

Hello Suesan, my wife and I are the new owners of the campground. We actually purchased it 2 days after your stay. we are so sorry you ran into issues that you feeling you did not have as comfortable stay as you hoped. We have been working very hard to make updates and upgrades across our whole site. We have found a homemade organic recipe that repels the Lady Bugs and have been very thorough about cleaning all the window sills and spray the repellent around them. we will be replacing the cabinets and sink in this cabin as soon as money and availability allow. As for the Roku remote and the Mini split heat and ac unit remote, we have not had anyone else have any trouble using them and didn't know there was a need for directions. Each have the least amount of buttons to help with ease of guests using them. We actually had a bad spell of snow again in January and i personally went out and shoveled all porches and walk ways that had guests. We hope you give us another chance in the future.

My husband and I as well as our children and dog enjoyed this cozy cabin on the creek! We especially enjoyed the front porch overlooking the backyard and water and it was an added bonus that we could bring our dog! The house was very clean and perfect for us as we were in town for a wedding.

My wife and I are born and raised in the Charleston WV area and purchased this campground in December of 2025, and we are constantly giving it all the attention we can. We are consistently upgrading and updating anything to make our site more comfortable, peaceful and relaxing for all of our guests. We have 3 beautiful young daughters that love the campground as much as we do, and enjoy playing on-site while we clean and fix things. It is so rewarding to see everyone that comes to stay with us and our own children enjoy all that our site has to offer.

The area is so peaceful and just far enough out to be close to everything you need but to also get the peaceful atmosphere of being away from it all.

The thing we love most about our location is sitting on the porch of any of our cabins with the most peaceful, unobstructed view of the lake.
