We loved the farmhouse and its location. It was perfect for us—very clean and comfortable. We truly enjoyed our stay and would love to make it an annual getaway. Maybe next time we’ll stay even longer to enjoy more of the outdoors!

Perfect Getaway

A perfect property to get off the beaten path and enjoy some relaxation after a days work. You couldn’t ask for anything more clean and peaceful, I would 100% stay here again over staying in the city. There are several small towns within easy driving distance that offer everything you would ever need. On top of the great property, everyone I met was easy to get along with and I enjoyed the conversation. No one was intrusive at all but they offered their help had we needed it. If you’re looking for a place to stay that is quiet, clean and unique - this is the place.

Great property. Clean, quiet and peaceful.

We had a great time relaxing and enjoying the peacefulness of the property. We used the gas grill, went for some walks around the property and made a nice fire at night. We will most certainly be back. Thanks Vic and family

Great Simple Get-Away Place

We enjoyed our stay of 8 days here in rural South Georgia. The property and surroundings are as they appear in the listing. Cabin was very clean, well organized and comfortable. Grounds and ponds of the property are beautiful -- well maintained, kept mowed and trimmed. Nothing is grown up or weedy around the ponds. Fishing from the bank is easy and safe. Very quiet surroundings, no hustle and bustle. We enjoyed our week!

AWESOME LAKESIDE HOUSE, GREAT STAY!!

Vic was a super host, property is way off the road for privacy, peace and quiet and the secure aspect took me back in time when you could leave your house unlocked 24-7. Firepit, lakeside gathering spot, enclosed back porch were all pluses!! definitely will stay here again when we come back next year!

Peace & Tranquility

If you're looking for a simple get away, off the beaten path, Sugarcane Lodge is it! Just put your things down, unplug & de-compress from the daily rush of work life. Beautiful scenery with nature abound. Chill by the pond, have a coldie & feed the catfish. The owner is accessible, communicative, but pleasant & laid back. You'll have most of what ya need on site. If you're extra, well...then hit up Vidalia 15 minutes away for your shopping needs. Will return without reservation. Thanks, Mr. Burton!

Privacy and serenity

We booked this property to take our kids fishing, and do some fishing ourselves, too. While we do have places to fish close to home, we wanted to make a trip of it and have a little getaway. We had our own private home and no one else was fishing. The home was cozy and quiet. Plenty of wildlife to admire, and the fish definitely bite. The homeowners live in a house on the property; they will stop by and speak with you if you’re both outside. We had many visitors stop by but all friendly and down home people. Will look forward to staying again.

Quiet place

Quite little cabin on a farm just as advertised. Very serine and comfortable. Perfect if looking for a place to relax. Host was quick with responses. Enjoyed the stay.

Beautiful!

Our stay at Sugar Cane Lodge was amazing. You couldn’t ask for a more beautiful property and house. Everything was manicured to perfection and the home was immaculate and homey. The host was very nice and accommodating. 5 stars 100% satisfied
