First VRBO experience

Very nice place!

The place was very nice, as described. The owner was helpful. The owner checked in on our arrival. The place met all of our needs. The pool is steps away from the condo door. The surrounding area is beautiful. We enjoyed our daily walks to the beach.

Love Amelia Island

Location very nice by the tennis courts. The condo could use a little updating and TLC. Very spacious and TV very nice.

Great condo!

We really enjoyed our stay. Very clean and spacious condo. The only thing I missed was a beach view. It was perfect for our dogs and it was a quiet complex. The pool was steps from the front door. I would definitely stay here again.

Courtside Beauty

The place was very clean and pool steps outside of door. We stay in Amelia every year at this resort and this was definitely a favorite. We will be back!! The complimentary bottle of wine and chocolates was just what we needed after a long drive in.

Amelia Island Condo

Our family loved this condo and location. My son and I either ran in the resort or swam at the fitness center every morning during our stay. The proximity to the Omni resort and the other beach access points were great. Looking forward to renting this condo again someday.

Great stay, awesome host

The villa and grounds are awesome, we loved the location which was in a first class resort setting. The condo was spotless and had everything you could possibly need. There was one minor issue with one of the TVs missing a power cord, there were only two of us and three TVs so not a big deal, when we informed the host she went out of her way to resolve the problem even though we told her it was not a big deal. We needed to stay an extra night due to Milton effecting our home in SW Florida, the host was kind and understanding and made us feel welcomed. Highly recommend this as a destination for Amelia Island.

Family vacation

We traveled to Amelia Island with our two sons, ages 16 and 19. The condo was perfect for us! The boys enjoyed having the queen sized beds in the second bedroom. The location was great, as well, with the tennis courts nearby, pool right outside the front door, and just a short walk to the beach. Amelia Island Plantation is a wonderful property with many dining options on site. We look forward to our next visit and would definitely stay in this unit again.

Courtside Villas - Very Nice Location!

We were very pleased with this property. Amelia Island Plantation is a beautiful and remote slice of serenity near Jacksonville FL. Quiet and relaxing but with plenty to do even during Covid. The condo itself is right near a pool - super convenient - and you have access to Omni Resort's main pool. I would say that the condo had a few "blemishes" like a leaky kitchen sink faucet and bathrooms that may need a facelift. Other than that, a very nice property!

February Getaway

My friend, dog and I enjoyed a lovely month in this charming Amelia Omni Plantation townhome. The property manager contacted us personally the day prior to arrival to welcome us and let us know that the property was ready. We found the home to be spacious, comfortable, well-equipped and tastefully decorate. Phone calls were returned promptly and one issue was addressed quickly. Although the property is not ocean front, we found the location to be lovely nestled among the live oaks and palmettos. We enjoyed long walks during our stay and appreciated the variety available without leaving the Plantation. Stopping for an afternoon coffee and sweet treat at the deli was a bonus. The property manager made rebooking for next year convenient and we look forward to enjoying February 2025 at this lovely property.

Nice pet friendly accommodations

Overall, a great stay. We've stayed in other pet friendly places where the furniture and bedding did not feel very clean. That was not the case here. This condo had plenty of room and was well equipped with anything you'd need. The location wasn't great, as it was not convenient to the beach, but we knew that going in. However, the resort does golf cart rentals and also provides a shuttle to all locations on the plantation. There was a phone to request the shuttle in front of the condo & they were very timely. The only real "negative" would be the back area where we had to take our dog out at night was very wet/mushy, even though there was no rain... I felt like we were constantly trying to pick up the wet leaves and things that tracked in. There was a small mat, but it couldn't really handle the amount of dirt & leaves. We would definitely recommend this place to others looking for a pet-friendly rental. The agents were super helpful and great to work with.

Worst experience ever!

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, we stayed a week and on the second day the sewer system backs up into the condo. I contacted the owner and she had to get a plumber come out. Which he notice the septic pipes were busted and tree roots growing inside of them.. Come to find out the owner already knew about the issue which had happened 5 years prior and she did nothing to fix the problem just continued renting out the place. It gets worse, she tried to blame the problem on us saying that we wasn't suppose to use toilet paper, all the while knowing what the problem was. I ask for a credit through vrbo and she agreed, which I never got and she denied agreeing to. To top it all off she skips out on the plumber and refused to pay, rejecting his attempts to contact her because she left the property!

Would Not Stay Here Again

When we arrived at the property, there was a sign posted on the door indicating that maintenance work would be beginning at the complex. On our first full day there, workers arrived 8 am & began pressuring washing to prepare for painting. For 2 straight weeks, there was no quiet enjoyment of the condo (8 am - 5pm) due to noise from ladders, pressure washers, paint compressors in addition to laborers continually walking behind the unit and power cords throughout the walking path. This also involved plastic sheeting being affixed to windows (remaining for multiple days) & the unit's door. I contacted the host to ask why we weren't informed. She indicated she wasn't aware. It's her responsbilitty to be informed, not ours. If there was prior knowledge, we could have had the option of booking other accommodations. We had to put in a work order for the HVAC system which was making a loud noise. We had booked the unit due to it being a tennis villa. The tennis club, which featured 23 courts, was steps from the unit. I specifically asked the host if we would be allowed to play there and she replied in the positive. When I went to rent a court, I was told by the tennis facility that we could not play there because we were renting from a 3rd party. The condo had heavy dust/grime buildup on the kitchen blinds and HVAC vent. We also discovered a piece of candy & empty water bottle under a bed. Cobwebs were visible on the dining room light fixture. This place should be thoroughy cleaned and it was obviously not. The electronic key code stopped working & needed a battery. If it wasn't for another person in the unit, I would've been locked out. The GFCI in the bathroom was also not working upon arrival. Within 2 days a handy man was sent but he was unable to fix it. After 2 week's time another maintenance person was sent & it was finally fixed.

Amazing!

Beautiful condo, wonderful hosts--just amazing! The pool was steps away, and the beach a short walk along the loveliest tree-lined path, dripping with Spanish moss. We hope to return soon!
