Vacation Acadia’s Island Time’ is a bright and airy DT Bar Harbor -steps to waterfront & everything! Waterview & smell of salty sea breeze greet you from your doorstep! Go for an early morning jog to the waterfront, watch the sunrise from Agamont Park. Take a break in the middle of your tours to this cozy home. It is that near! After a day’s adventure in Acadia, park your car in the house, rest your achy feet on our recliners, then walk to restaurants. Enjoy our hospitality as you enjoy BarHarbor and Acadia National Park!

We very much enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and had everything we needed for a Thanksgiving escape. The location was perfect, close enough to walk downtown and only a few minutes to Acadia’s trails.

Amazing stay perfect location

We stayed at this property for four nights the first week of June. Everything about the property was was just as listed. It was a beautiful home and a wonderful location great walking distance to everything in town.

We stayed here with my in laws while visiting Acadia. The location was excellent...so close to everything in town. Having only one full bathroom located downstairs was a little odd, but it didn't bother us. The house was clean and comfortable, though the bedrooms are a little tight with luggage in them. The downstairs is very spacious and a great place to hang out. We had a great time!

Great house and location

Quaint and Comfortable Cottage

Wonderfully redone home located in the heart of downtown Bar Harbor. Fantastic kitchen with everything needed for a comfortable and homey stay. Very comfortable beds and close walking distance to all shops and restaurants.

Bar Harbor Visit

The home was easy to get to and so convenient for spending time in Bar Harbor. As described we were able to walk to our downtown Bar harbor destinations. Home was comfy and well stocked with the amenities needed!

Stayed in the cottage for 3 nights. Absolutely great location - steps to bars, restaurants, shops in town. We hiked and did e-bikes in Acadia and did the Cadillac summit - all was less than 10 min drive. The cottage was adorable and exactly as described. Only 1.5 bathrooms but we made it work fine. Beds were very comfortable. House was equipped with everything we needed. Washer and dryer in the house was really nice to have. Would definitely stay again.

Location. Location. Location.

Fantastic stay in the heart of Bar Harbor!We had a great experience at this perfectly located in-town home. Everything was within walking distance—restaurants, shops, and the waterfront—so our rental car barely moved the whole trip! While we’re pretty low-maintenance when it comes to amenities, this place had everything you could ask for: a well-stocked kitchen, great grilling setup, and all the essentials for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend for anyone looking to explore Bar Harbor on foot. Owners were very attentive and went out of their way to make sure our stay was perfect.

Great place to stay and so convenient

We had a very nice stay. It was my husband and self for two nights, then three friends joined us for the last two nights. All in our 60s. We enjoyed being able to walk to everything in town, and the proximity to Southwest Harbor from where we did a sail. Plenty of room for everyone. We'll be back.

Can not beat the location!

This house is the perfect rental for a Bar Harbor vacation. We were within walking distance to so many delicious restaurants, shops, the whale watching dock, the land bridge hike and more! We went multiple days without even using our vehicle. It is an older home with some quirks (the only shower is downstairs off the kitchen), but the owners have done a great job! It is decorated really well and very comfortable! I would definitely recommend this rental!

Excellent visit to Bar Harbor, ME and Acadia Nat'l Park

We were so lucky to find this VRBO for our vacation to Acadia Nat'l Park. The location was amazing with parking for two cars a couple of blocks from the harbor, restaurants, and downtown, as well as a short drive to many of Acadia's hiking trails and vistas. The rental was perfect for our party. The layout provided ample room for our group to be together, as well as to provide privacy to read or relax after hiking for the day was over. The shower had excellent water pressure. The kitchen and laundry provided everything we needed. We would book this rental again.

Base Harbor Maine

This property has a great location in town. It is tucked one block from one of the main streets in town yet was quiet. The parking space was a gem. No need to hassle with finding a place to park. You can be gone all day in the park and return to the house and walk to dinner. The home is an older home and with that comes the settling of the home and slanted floors upstairs among other things. The remodel is nice but it is still an older home. The owner was very gracious bringing a blender when I requested one and also coming right over when I had trouble operating the A/C upstairs.

Couldn’t Have Asked for More

This was a fantastic stay for the 5 of us. The house was amazing but even more so was it’s location. Especially for the week of Fourth of July. Only moved our vehicle to go into Acadia each day. I never want to wish bad on others but I couldn’t help but smile as Bar Harbor was slammed with people trying to find a place to park. Owners were wonderful and the place was spotless when checking in. I spent much time on back deck journaling and sipping a beverage. Only suggestion would be to add a few more cooking things to the kitchen such as another casserole pan. Great stay overall. Would return in a heartbeat.

Quaint, Comfortable, Quiet Oasis in a busy Tourist Town

This is a cozy cottage which has been updated with all that you need. Perfect for our family of 4 with two adult (20 and 22) children. It is located on a quiet block just off a main road so it's convenient to everything while provided a quiet escape from all the rest of the tourists. The hosts had everything we would need. There is only one full bath which worked since we are all family. There is easy parking which is important and the town is very walkable. We enjoyed our stay very much.

a mixed feeling

The property has an unbeatable location. It is located in a quiet little street but close to restaurants, shops, and attractions in bar harbor. The house is fully renovated and beautifully decorated. But it's an old house and we encountered an old house problem. A few hours after we checked in, we found out some water backed up to the floor of first floor bathroom (the only full bath in the house). And the sewer smell quickly got into the bathroom then the whole house. It's a very unfortunate event. But luckily the host was very attentive. Robard returned to my Vrbo message in a couple of minutes and it was around 11 pm. He tried his best to schedule the plumber to check the sewer and he cleaned and sanitize the bath room floor the next day (Sunday). The situation was getting better but there was some sewer flies got in later. We got a chance to quickly chat with the plumber and he mentioned all the issues came from the old sewer pipe and they have planned to replace that. I believe the sewer problem will be fundamentally solved after that. Other than that unfortunate event, we had a great stay. The house was very well furnished and maintained, and the kitchen was stocked with nice appliances and utensils. The bedrooms were a bit small. But the front porch and side patio provided great spaces to relax. I can see how much the owners care about their vacation property. It was definitely a five star to the host.

We have installed a new sewer system since this issue came to light. We have remodeled the bathroom floor. Upgraded our bathrooms too with bidet in both toilets. We listen to our guests and appreciates their feedback. We take them seriously and always mitigate issues right away. The house now is prettier than it has been.

Warren family trip

My wife, three of our children and I spent a great week in Bar Harbor. Very convenient location with all the necessities included. The owners were very accommodating, the house was clean and the access to downtown Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park made this home the perfect fit for our family.

Great house in an unbeatable location

Just finished up our fantastic visit to Bar Harbor and Acadia. The house is right in Bar Harbor so it’s walkable to everything in town—we loved not having to worry about parking, and being able to walk to grab coffee in the mornings or dinner in the evenings. It’s also basically across the street from the waterfront, two blocks from Hannaford grocery store, and a great homemade for exploring Acadia. Just an unbeatable location. The house was clean, cute, and functional, really comfortable for adults and kids alike. We especially appreciated the plush towels, the clean white bedding, and the comfy pillows. All the appliances worked well and were easy to figure out, and the kitchen supplies were really clean, so for once I didn’t feel like I needed to wash things before using them. We spent a lot of time in the front sun room area, which was just lovely! Travelers with really young kids should know that the stairs are pretty steep. They’re also pretty creaky, so if you have a light sleeper (or are a light sleeper), bring a white noise machine so the little one(s) don’t wake up when people go up and down the stairs. The hosts were wonderfully communicative—they made it easy from start to finish, with quick responses, clear instructions, and a really great welcome message with tons of great recommendations. Thank you to Robard and Mercedes for letting us call your home our home for the week. We will absolutely stay here again when we return to Acadia!

Great home and location

Everything was clean and looks just like the pictures on the listing. Location was perfect - could walk to any location in Bar Harbor and a 2 minute drive into Acadia. We loved the porch and the beds. Thanks for the great stay!

Perfection

Right in the heart of town

Easy to walk to everything from the grocery store, to the land bridge, to the ocean walk, to stores and food. Owner was great, check in process was easy, home was very clean. The only minor drawback is the steps are a bit steeper than normal so if you have older parents coming it’s harder to get to the bedrooms since they are all upstairs. Porch is outstanding! Would 100% recommend this place to anyone without mobility issues which would make the upstairs bedrooms challenging. We would definitely stay again!
