About the host
Hosted by Eleeshea Hagen
I am RV Robertson the head of this gang of Cowboys and desperadoes. I am 73 years old, but mentally I don't think I ever got past 17! I have made my living almost my entire life (except for a time in the military) enjoying people. I have been a fishing and photography guide in the great outdoors and I have raised cattle and trained horses. Throughout my life I have enjoyed being a part of people's vacations and making them feel at home even when away from home.
Over three decades ago I began building the High Plains Drift Inn. My family now share my passion for hospitality and we work together to make sure our guests have a good time and get to feel a little of what it was like in the old west.
You can simply book a cabin with us for a peaceful nights rest on your way through or you can arrange to have full service. Having lived so long I have a story or two for just about everything. If you have the time we can build a fire outside and I can tell you cowboy stories half the night while you roast some marshmallows and listen to my granddaughter play old cowboy songs on the guitar!
When you book please let us know if you are interested in any additional services. We can provide horse riding, skeet shooting, survival classes and our on site Ranch Café serves hearty homestyle cowboy cooking, by reservation.
