Treat yourself to special teas and coffees every day in the Tea Room! Experience romance in the enchanted parlor with period decor! Enjoy the large TV and fireplace in our huge library and see the carrousel collection! Relax in rocking chairs on the spacious covered back porch and witness the150 yr old magnolia tree! Our queen beds have memory foam mattresses and bamboo pillows! (Disclosure: There are cameras on the outside for security reasons only! Your privacy will not be violated! There are NO working cameras inside the house!)

Beautiful home
Gwyn was so accommodating. The whole process couldn’t have been easier. Cutest home in the middle of town, easy access to all the fun. This was our second time visiting and staying here and we all loved it very much.

Had a wonderful stay. House is bigger than expected. Loved the tea and coffee bar! Bed was very comfortable! Very convenient to everything and in a quiet neighborhood! Will stay here again!

Great Sisterly Get Away
My mother, her sister, and cousin (all in their 70s) spent 2 nights together and had the greatest time. They loved the house. The alarm went off unexpected the owner addressed right away. Jefferson is a quaint town and a great get away if you enjoy a slow laid back historic atmosphere. They would very much recommend to others wanting the same experience.

Beautiful home.
We had a wonderful time at this property. Gwyn was easy to communicate with and made the process very easy. We had our ‘Till death do us party’ at this home and it was perfect. The house is a lot bigger than i expected it to be. the pictures do not do it justice! the only issue i had with this place was the cleanliness. there was bobby-pins on the nightstand from the previous guest and a few other little things like water bottles and cobwebs. overall our stay was still very good. it’s a lovely place.

Not a comfortable stay.
They knew we had 6 guest and only had one half roll of toilet paper. Only one bathroom and we ran out of towels first day. Main issue is the house was hot and the ac quits during the night! Master bed feels like a thin foam pad on a board. Very uncomfortable!

The perfect place
I can't communicate well enough how nice this property is. Check in was simple. Everything we needed was present. The house and property are lovely. It's close enough walk to downtown Jefferson, which we did. We walked back at 1:30 am and you can't do that most places. Hardwood floors, tall ceilings, big back porch...it's fabulous.

Beautiful Home - La Belle Maison
Beautiful home! Very open & spacious and full of history. It’s was like stepping back in time. The beds and seating were very comfortable!! It’s close to everything, so you could actually walk, which is very nice. Big back porch area for relaxing, visiting & listening/ seeing all the birds in the mornings. You do have to share a bathroom as it only has one but it is very big. We loved staying here & will definitely stay again.

Perfect Home!
La Belle Maison had everything we needed for our visit to Jefferson. From the cozy library room to the coffee/tea station to the comfy beds -- we had everything we needed for a relaxing sis-in-laws' trip! And Gwen was an amazing host! She contacted me beforehand to see if we had any special requirements and gave wonderful suggestions for dining and entertainment in the area! Made for a great visit all around!

We are Hal and Kathy Poindexter and we are the owners of La Belle Maison. Although we are both in our seventies we are still pretty active at our dairy goat farm in Carthage, Texas. Our good friend Gwyn Weatherford has agreed to be the host of La Belle Maison!

The house is very centrally located in the heart of the Historical district and very convenient to restaurants and shops! If you want to experience the Victorian era and be surrounded with period decor, then this is the place to have that romantic getaway you have been dreaming about!

Please enjoy our Tea Room and try out several kinds of tea as well as coffee! Put on a fancy hat and pretend to be in the Victorian era! There is usually a wine bottle or two there for your pleasure! And if you look in the little freezer there are some little cakes and goat cheese you can pull out to thaw and enjoy! Take advantage of the nice big back porch to enjoy your morning coffee and afternoon tea or wine!
