La Luxuria Rock Star Villa - **** ¡¡LA MAYOR CALIFICACIÓN Y LA MEJOR OFERTA DE LA ZONA !! ****

En algún lugar de la península de Nicoya hay una pequeña ciudad de surf donde las estrellas de rock, supermodelos y surfistas profesionales vienen a jugar. Este es un lugar donde el sol brilla un poco más, los amigos se ríen un poco más y la vida es mucho menos seria.

Este lugar brillante se llama Santa Teresa y está lo suficientemente alejado como para mantener alejadas a las multitudes, pero lo suficientemente cerca del paraíso como para que valga la pena hacer un esfuerzo adicional.

Construimos una casa en la colina muy especial aquí para entretener a nuestros amigos y familiares. Este es un lugar muy privado, a solo un kilómetro de las espectaculares playas, lugares para practicar surf, bares y restaurantes, pero custodiado por una caseta de vigilancia y oculto por la densa selva tropical que lo rodea.

Por supuesto, compartimos este espacio con los monos residentes, loros, tucanes y todos nuestros queridos amigos del bosque. A veces, si tenemos suerte, podemos ver a las ballenas nadar en el océano turquesa de abajo con nuestro café de la mañana. ¡Qué vida!


Ballenas y delfines: aunque no a todos les gusta ir a pescar, al menos vale la pena hacer un recorrido en barco por Cabo Blanco, justo al sur de Santa Teresa, para ver las ballenas, delfines, mantarrayas, tortugas y una gran variedad de vida marina.

Unbelievable

This home sits high up on the mountain…. You have to drive up a steep dirt road to get there, so be prepared. From the yard, you can look over the ledge and see lots of wild jungle, some rooftops, and then beautiful blue ocean all the way to the horizon. You can check the waves from here too. The infinity pool makes you feel like you could just fall off the ledge and into the jungle below….But that’s actually not true- the pool and house and entire property are very safe and clean. We stayed with four WILD kids, ages 10-12, and no one got hurt or lost or bitten. Though we had a few close encounters with dangerous creatures: a snake, a scorpion, and one huge, hairy spider. But that was only because we left the sliding glass door open for a few hours one night, when we left for dinner. Like others have said, the photos and description don’t do this place justice. Also, it’s located right above the main drag of Santa Teresa, near Del Soul surf shop and a bunch of restaurants and clothing stores. Playa Hermosa is 15 min away on an ATV. AMAZING!!

Month in Paradise

This was the third year in a row our group has spent a month in Costa Rica. Each year we have rented a home in a different area of the country. This house was our favorite. Lori, the property manager lived down the hill was always available, responding within minutes to any questions or issues which arose. For example, the espresso machine was replaced immediately when discovered it was not working. Our group loves cooking. This kitchen was well stocked, various choices of coffee makers, sharp knives, multiple sets of dishes and a water filtration system. The infinity pool was kept crystal clean, the water warm and the view exceptional. We ate all our meals outdoors on the shaded patio, reserving the indoor dining table for "office space". The Wi-Fi worked well, even with 3 or 4 Zoom calls. The house sits at the top of a steep hill. We decided not to rent a car or ATV, as we preferred the daily exercise of walking down and up from town and the extraordinary beach. (If you have mobility issues transportation will be required.). We hired cabs for larger or heavier grocery runs. If you love wildlife, this is the house for you, pizotes, monkeys and a wide variety of birds & butterflies frequent the property. We highly recommend this property for families or 2-3 couples.

Costa Rica Reunion

This was an amazing property and vacation all around. The balance between going into town and just relaxing at the top of Santa Teresa was perfect. The pool was phenomenal-so were the accommodations as a whole (bedrooms were very comfortable and spacious-kitchen was very well stocked). We’ve been to ST 5 times now and this is by far the best place we’ve stayed.

Tolles Ferienhaus mit leichten Mängeln

Das Haus ist schon sehr toll, allerdings ist die Lage ca 150m über dem Meeresspiegel und man muss eine sehr steile Straße hoch, die mit dem Auto nur zu bewältigen ist, weil sie asphaltiert ist. Zu Fuß zum Strand ist nur etwas für Leute die in den Alpen wohnen. Die Fliegengitter sind beschädigt und schlecht. Wir hatten eine Vogelspinne und 2 Skorpione im Haus. Wir hatten für jedes Bett ein Moskitonetz dabei, und das war eine gute Entscheidung. Beim 4er Toaster haben nur 2 Spalten funktioniert.Der Blick vom Haus und aus dem Pool ist super, aber den Sonnenuntergang kann man leider nicht sehen.Der Indoorpool ist leider für eine sehr hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit im Haus verantwortlich.Da das Haus am Ende der Straße liegt, sieht man dort sehr viele Tiere ( Leguane, Nasenbären, Waschbären, Brüllaffen), mehr als in den National Parks.

The best place in the area

The place is beautiful and the pictures don’t lie. That said there are a couple warnings. First, the property is located up a STEEP hillside. You will need a AWD or ATV to get up and down. Second, it’s in the jungle, there will be lizards, bugs and ants.That said, the property manager was awesome and recommended numerous excursions and restaurants — all of which were awesome.

CR Vacation

The place far exceeded expectations. The pictures are good, but the property is better. We arrived to howler and white face monkeys in the yard. There were butterflies everywhere. The pool overlooks the pacific where we watched the whales breaching on several days (bring good binoculars). The house has very well equipped kitchen and the beds, bedrooms, and bathrooms were great. Laura is an exception host and offered any assistance we needed. Our only complaint is the house was so good, we rarely left to experience Santa Teresa....I guess we will just have to come back.

Absolutely Perfect!

My family and I had a wonderful time at La Luxuria. The house is beautiful and stocked with all the things you need. The cleaning and grounds personnel are great and Laurie, the concierge, was very helpful with information about local businesses and setting up excursions. Both my wife and mother-in-law have mobility problems and were not able to go on any excursions, but the house is so awesome and well-appointed that they were thrilled just to relax there during the days. The house also serves as a great, secluded home base from which to go on adventures. My kids and I went to the beach several times, hit all the local restaurants, went horse-back riding on the beach and zip-lining through the jungle. Best vacation ever!

A little gem above Santa Teresa, Costa Rica

Beautiful property surrounded by the jungle with awesome views of the ocean. Road to get there is very steep. Definitely need a 4x4, but it’s worth it. The house is spacious, with AC in every bedroom. Kitchen is super functional. The pool was probably the best feature. We spent a lot of time in it. Felt safe the whole time. Great property managers.

Un endroit paradisiaque !

Nous avons séjourné en famille en février 2024. Tout était parfait ! L’emplacement est idéal. La maison et la vue sont splendides. Nous avons pu observer beaucoup d’animaux sauvages dans le jardin et aux alentours (singes, iguanes, ratons laveurs, écureuils, oiseaux colorés…). Les photos correspondent tout à fait à la réalité. Marison est venue 3 matins par semaine pour faire le ménage. Roberto vient aussi 3 fois par semaine pour entretenir la piscine. Ils sont tous les deux très discrets et efficaces. Laurie, qui nous a accueilli, parle très bien français et nous a permis d’organiser certaines activités. Nous recommandons vivement de séjourner dans cette villa. C’était notre premier voyage au Costa Rica et nous avons adoré, nous y retournerons sans aucun doute.

Great property, excellent views, great pool! Laurie the property manager was very helpful on all questions we had about house, Santa Teresa recommendations and helped set up drop off of 4 wheelers (highly recommend) The cleaning service was great for house and pool! There were some electrical lighting issues but didn’t affect the trip experience and as stated in previous reviews need a AWD vehicle for steep hill to home Overall a great trip and great property!

Living The Life

From check in with Laurie to the quick answers of the owner, this has been one of our best vacation locations ever. This was rainy season and we only had 2-3 rainy days out of 15. The proximity of the beaches and activities were perfect. Believe me you need a 4X4 to climb that mountain and yes you might think your going the wrong way but when you arrive at this little oasis you will know it was worth it. Laurie will help with all the activities and to be honest we did some of the best activities we have ever done on trips, a 2 hour horseback ride on a ranch, through rivers, on the beach, just breathtaking and memorable. The town has great restaurants and are all close to the house, main beach down the road has the perfect sunsets and amazing waves for surfing. The house was cleaned regularly and well taken care of by the staff. The pool well that’s all I can say it’s exactly like the photo. If you’re lucky enough you will see some monkeys, coatis, iguanas and other birds and stuff. All around this place is as advertised and we highly recommend it to anyone taking a trip to Costa Rica. Many thanks to the whole team there, Laurie and Sanjiv as well. Hope to visit again in the future. Derek

Absolutely stunning!

Our experience here was incredible! The property was so beautiful and clean! There were so many amenities- we never have stayed at such an amazing property on vacation- driveway is steep so 4x4 is needed- especially if it rains! We would definitely stay here again!!

My wife, 10 yo and I stayed for 8 nights at the tail end of a 1 month sabbatical in CR and absolutely loved La Luxuria and highly recommend! Wow - everything was just as Sanjiv indicated and other reviews noted. Laurie, the property manager/concierge, was super helpful and went above and beyond to help arrange tours and rentals. The house and pool though are truly spectacular and are just far enough from the the busier main road (up a steep hill requiring 4wd and a little meddle, but just for the first up/down) to feel like you're nestled alone on a hilltop away from everything, with howler monkey families occassionally making an appearance and grape loving iguana friends as regular amusing visitors. Very special. Our adult kids stayed at a smaller rental on the main road to be closer to night life, but often came up for dinner and to enjoy the large and incredible pool. We could have easily accomdated all 6 of us at La Luxuria for the full stay. We do recommend an ATV for getting up and down, but it's really less daunting after the first time. We should also note that Roger and the person who managed our regular housekeeping (unfortunately cannot remeber her name) were outstanding! We really can't recommend La Luxuria enough. If we make it back to Santa Teresa, this is where we're staying!

Perfection

Our stay was exactly what we hoped for and more. Plenty of space, relaxing views and a perfect pool for play and keeping cool. even our three teenagers were impressed - and that takes a miracle these day :-) It was a magical place to stay and we will return n our next trip to Costa Rica!

Santa Teresa Adventure

We just returned last night from Santa Teresa, never being in Costa Rica I was a bit nervous, but it was everything we hoped it would be. The home was amazing just as listed, I actually feel it was better in person and that was an amazing feeling. We were there for 1 week, it was the perfect length of time. We enjoyed exploring the area on ATV's, horseback, we zip lined. the ocean was so warm, we surfed and enjoyed the tide pools. The snorkeling is not the best if you are one that snorkels. The food was great and the people were so nice!!! Loved our trip
