Luxury Casa Mila Pure Azores

In the enchanting Azores in Portugal, Casa Mila is an idyllic retreat amid the island's lush greenery and panoramic ocean views. The villa’s understated contemporary design allows the spectacular nature outside to take centre stage, with the expansive windows framing these vistas and flooding the rooms with natural light. Start your morning with a snorkelling adventure, going to the nearest beach to discover the beauty underneath the glistening sea’s surface. Spend the day taking dips in the heated outdoor swimming pool, drying off in seconds under the warm Portuguese sun. As the sun begins to paint the surrounding natural landscape gold, gather your loved ones for a barbecue dinner and raise a toast to moments spent together.

Absolutely gorgeous house and location. We stayed here with our kids for over a week had the most fantastic time. The pictures don’t do the property justice. Pierre was an excellent host.

Stellar, Private, Heaven with a pool!

This house is magical!A vast, private view of the ocean from every bedroom and Terrace overlooking your personal swimming pool. Beautifully designed and landscaped, this house and location experience is an oasis of relaxation. We spent two weeks here exploring and hiking the island every morning, and relaxing by the pool every evening! It is an inspiring treasure!

The home is beautiful-a stunning property. But very expensive so you expect some level of service in helping w/dinner recs, reservations and basic amenities like towels. Communication and planning were challenging with owner prior to trip. Hard to reach and understand on messages and phone. We were told dinner reservations were easy to get, didn’t need to be made in advance and that there were several options in town. That was not our experience at all! We were a party of 8 adults- restaurants book fast for large parties. I had to scramble upon arrival making reservations as best I could; we missed out on many highly regarded places due to poor advice. We were told we could have a chef anytime, but no availability on the days we requested and the two chefs I found on my own said Nordeste was too far. Owner told us how difficult it was to rent a car at airport - long wait and pricey. He recommended his friend who we used. Price and wait were actually worse than airport-his friend had to drive us to another location for our car. Sauna was broken, master bedroom window had gigantic crack and patio door was broken, so could not use private patio off our bedroom. Towels were not provided for all bathrooms and none for pool. We bought towels in town & half way through trip the manager finally dropped off a bunch. Overall we planned a great action packed trip, loved every day in the Azores, but were disappointed w/owner’s lack of reply, help, communication.

Thank you for your feedback and for highlighting the beauty of the property. We are pleased that you enjoyed your time in the Azores. I am very surprised with you review you wrote me on verb app chat that the house is amazing and also the view. I don't know what happened to you between august 25 and January 26 date of your review. Hope all is fine. Please note that we wrote you 20 messages on VRB app before your stay to prepare your trip. There is no lack of communications. You got all informations plus assistance of our concierge who lives near house. We regret that some aspects of your stay did not fully meet your expectations. Please note that availability of restaurants, private chefs, and rental cars on the island—especially for larger groups—can vary significantly depending on season and demand, and remains outside the owner’s direct control. We are not taking fees on those additional services. Any maintenance and amenity concerns mentioned have been reviewed with our local team to ensure continued improvements. Sauna was broken because you throw water on an electrical component. We did not charge you for this repair. We had to order one component from Finland to fix it. Our goal is always to provide clear information and a comfortable stay, and we appreciate your comments as they help us refine our service.
