Sunflower Cabin - Peaceful Stay w/ Fire Pits & Kayaks
Tucked away in nature, Sunflower Cabin offers a peaceful escape from the busy world. Surrounded by trees and set on 150 beautiful acres, it’s a place to slow down, breathe deep, and enjoy the outdoors.
This cabin is located in a shared space on the property near two other cabins, Stone Ranch pavilion and a large shared fire pit—perfect for relaxing evenings and gathering under the stars. While you may see other guests nearby, each cabin still offers its own comfortable space to unwind.
You’ll have access to the full property to explore, including ponds, a nearby creek, and plenty of room to hike, bike, fish, or simply take it all in. The ponds and creek are just a short walk away, offering a quiet place to enjoy the water and surroundings.
Kayaks are available for exploring the ponds or floating along the creek, and you’ll likely meet some of the friendly animals that call the property home—goats, mini cows, a potbelly pig, chickens, cats, and a very friendly dog.
Inside, each cabin is set up for simple comfort, with linens, towels, pillows, blankets, a mini fridge, microwave, pots and pans, coffee pot, dishes, cups, and silverware provided.
Nights are especially peaceful out here, with very little light pollution—perfect for enjoying the fire and a sky full of stars.
A few quick notes: fishing is catch-and-release, the waterfall depends on rainfall, a waiver is required at the start of your stay, and no smoking inside the cabins.

We loved the time we spent here! Even with storms and power outages, we truly enjoyed our peaceful weekend getaway at Stone Ranch! Fishing was excellent, location was peaceful, and Denali (the lab)was the best host! Scott and Carrie made sure we were safe and informed throught our trip. Cannot wait to stay here again, and bring our adult children and friends!
We were looking for a getaway, and this was a perfect spot to soak up the quiet while still enjoying amenities. We'll be back!

Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
Cute and Rustic
The listing says sleeps 4 but there is only one bed. So for three adults one of us slept on the leather couch. It could have been cleaner with better kitchen essentials. Suggest a better kitchen sink with better drainage and perhaps a place to bring garbage too.

We are sorry you felt this way as the listing is very clear on the amenities and size of the cabin. The listing does show that we are comfortable with up to 4 staying in the cabin and provided a bed, couch and cot for you. We thoroughly clean after each stay and then do a spot check before arrival. There is a trash receptacle at the entryway for your use. Our home is a labor of love and we enjoy sharing it with others that will hopefully love it like we do. We feel we provided with you a great stay! Checking details of listing is your responsibility.
About the host
Hosted by Scott Stone
We’re local to the area and love spending time outdoors, which is what inspired us to create Stone Ranch Cabin Rentals. We’ve always wanted a simple, peaceful place where people can slow down, enjoy nature, and take a break from the busy day-to-day.
We enjoy being hosts because we love sharing this little piece of land with others and knowing people get to make memories here—whether that’s relaxing by the water, exploring the property, or just enjoying the quiet.
We try to give guests their space but are always nearby if you need anything.
Why they chose this property
We chose this area because of the wide open space, water, and peaceful surroundings. It’s not your typical neighborhood—it’s quiet, natural, and full of little things to enjoy, from the pond and creek to the animals on the property.
It’s the kind of place where you can slow down, spread out, and feel like you’ve truly gotten away for a bit.
What makes this property unique
We spend a lot of time here ourselves and have tried to keep it peaceful, comfortable, and connected to nature. From the animals on the property to the water and wide open space, it's a place to unplug and just be.
We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
