And, walk to “Les Halles” the famous Dijon Food Market. “My Home in Dijon” is a charming, very large (484 sq ft./45 sq metres) studio apartment with a separate kitchen that we lovingly restored to meet the expectations of the most demanding of guests. Dijon is the jewel of Burgundy and is easily accessible by TGV train from Paris, Lyon, Switzerland or by motorway A31 or A6.
This beautiful, centrally located apartment is on the first floor (second floor U.S.) of a 17th century mansion. Despite its central location, the apartment is very quiet and peaceful as it faces a courtyard. You will sleep like baby, so important if you came a long way and are jet lagged!.
MY HOME IN DIJON DESCRIPTION
This bright and airy apartment, ideal for a couple or a solo traveler consists of a sleeping area with a comfortable queen size bed, a dining area and a living area complete with flat screen TV (200 international channels) and a desk with a computer with broadband access and free Wi-Fi. The telephone is unblocked and you have free landline access to 103 countries (excluding cell phone numbers).
The separate windowed kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, microwave and mini oven, a gas/electric cook top and a washer-dryer. Open the cabinets and you will find a complete set of dishes, glassware and pots and pans along with a toaster, electric kettle, coffeemaker and a blender.
The bathroom contains a washbasin and a bathtub with overhead shower and glass shower door. It is equipped with a hair dryer and a flat iron, fresh towels, bathrobes and an assortment of toiletries. The toilet and a second washbasin with mirror are located in a separate room making it easy for two people to get dressed in the morning. There are two large closets for your belongings. Air conditioning in the main room.
You'll be within walking distance to nearly all Dijon has to offer. It takes 2/3 min on foot to go to the tourist office in the ducal palace (entrance in rue des Forges), 5/6 min to the covered market 'les Halles' 3 min to St Michel and Notre Dame churches, restaurants, brasseries all around. The Fine Arts and Magnin museums are a few steps away. Transportation nearby (buses, taxis, velodi)
The train station is a 15min walk if you wish to go to Beaune by train (or bus). It will be my pleasure to collect you at the train station so you don't have to walk, take a bus or a taxi to the apartment.
FOR YOUR COMFORT
We try our very best to make your stay as comfortable as it can possibly be right down to the provisions provided free of charge on your arrival (tea, coffee, bread, butter, jam, eggs, ham, milk, cereal, orange juice and bottled water). What about a cheese pack with a selection of regional cheese and a good Burgundy bottle of wine (or two) waiting for you in your home in Dijon? We will even meet you at the station if you come by train.
The minimum stay is 2 nights but since it makes a full day only, you will only scratch the surface of this beautiful town! And there are so many other little towns or villages to discover like Beaune, Vezelay all the wine coast villages with great names if you like wine (Gevrey Chambertin, Fixin, Chambolle Musigny, Vougeot, Morey St Denis, Nuits st Georges...)

I was looking for a very well located place, very central, near all the main sites. I have been very lucky! With my husband, we immediately fell in love with the apartment, the building and the surroundings.
The location is great, museums, shopping, restaurants and brasseries at your door.
This apartment in Dijon was the best place we stayed during the three weeks we spent in France and Switzerland. It was better appointed than the 4 star hotels! The location could not be beat for access to the city and a feeling of comfort and safety. It was so close to everything you could pop in and drop off purchases, then take off again! Coco is an excellent hostess who provided every amenity, and had an amazing grasp of how we could best enjoy the city during our short stay. Others have mentioned train station pick up and the tour, but she also helped us schedule a wine excursion, and pointed us to the local hang outs which really gave us the visit we were hoping for. I highly reccomend this location to anyone visiting the Burgandy or Dijon area of France. It was the most fun and relaxing 3 days of our entire trip.
It is hard to imagine a warmer welcome and more comprehensive service than what one experiences thanks to Coco. Her apartment has a fantastic location and offers travelers a sympa place to stay while visiting Dijon. We enjoyed using the cute little kitchen and also the bathtub. The latter was great for soaking tired bones after much walking. The free landline phone was a huge bonus, especially for those of us who never bring a cell phone along. One indication of Coco's attention to detail is her pre-arrival questionnaire, which asks among other things, about one's food and wine preferences. Not many hosts go to that much trouble. The apartment was quiet, clean and warm. We would definitely recommend My Home in Dijon to our family and friends. It was wrenching to leave.
This is a spacious, comfortable, tastefully decorated, and well-equipped apartment right in the heart of beautiful Dijon. But what really sets it apart is the host. Coco went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable--from picking us up (and dropping us off!) at the train station, to showing us around the historic center of the city and giving us lots of information about things to do and places to go, to leaving us plenty of breakfast provisions and even a homemade chocolate cake. We could not have asked for more and would recommend this rental without hesitation.
I found this apartment on Fodor and the reviews were so good I wondered if it was too good to be true. But, fortunately, the apartment and most of all my wonderful hostess Coco lived up to my expectations and more..
I have rented 9 properties across the world and Coco is the best hostess I've ever experienced, meeting me at the station, showing me the apartment and then a walk through the Saturday markets together, before leaving me to enjoy my stay. The beautifully decorated apartment is in a perfect location to explore Dijon and is well stocked with everything needed for breakfast and snacks. Full kitchen, washing machine, English channels TV, computer with high speed WiFi/internet and plenty of information on the area at hand. Coco returned to deliver me safely to the station when I departed. The apartment name 'My Home in Dijon' is perfect as I felt very 'at home' for my entire stay. My Home in Dijon is comfortable, spacious, well-appointed, lovingly maintained, and perfectly located for exploring this interesting, historic city. Owner Coco Jacquin goes out of her way to make sure guests enjoy their stay: she picked us up from and returned us to the train station, stocked the frig with milk, fresh fruit, juice, and butter, and took us on an orientation walk when we arrived. The flat had everything needed for a short or longer-term stay: full kitchen, washing machine, desk top computer (excellent WiFi), TV, landline with free international access, good lighting, adequate storage space, loads of information about what to see and do, and more. Excellent value for the price; website photos are accurate. In short, highly recommended--don't hesitate to book.
This is an amazing apartment! Coco is the perfect hostess, eager to help with lots of suggestions to meet every need. She made me feel very welcome and an immediate friend. Her apartment is fabulous. It is a calm and peaceful oasis in the centre of town where relaxation comes easily. After a long series of flights from Australia, a friendly face at the train station was comforting. An orientation tour on arrival was the best introduction to Dijon. I could not recommend this apartment and its hostess more highly for anyone looking for a real home away from home. Coco's warmth and friendly nature are greatly appreciated.
