We are Asha & Haresh Ramrattan your delightful hosts. We love to travel and experience different cultures and culinary tastes. We hope that our guest have similar interests and are adventurous to explore our local dynamic cuisine and culture. We enjoy meeting new people and exchanging ideas. Music, art and culture are at the center of our passion. Our daughter is a budding artist and you will be able to enjoy her private collection of paintings. Asha is also a lead vocals in her family music band so you will also have the opportunity to enjoy her own unique genre of music, a combination of Bollywood, Chutney and Soca infused with pop music. You can even purchase paintings or music CDs when you are leaving as a remainder of your stay at our home.

We are fortunate to be living in a country like Trinidad & Tobago that is so cosmopolitan with a rainbow of people, culture, cuisine and history. We take part in all of these getting involved in the Chutney & Soca music, fete, all inclusives and mas of Carnival, the festivities during Divali, Eid, Easter & Christmas like the lighting of deyas, attending Parang festivals, kite flying or visiting a number of our historical sites like the Magnificent Seven Castles around the Queen's Park Savannah, the Zoo and Botanic gardens, or Fort George overlooking the capital city of Port of Spain. Closer to home we also love visiting the Saint Benedict Monastery and the St Michael's RC Cathedral.

On weekends we love to go on road trips to some of the interesting locations in Trinidad like the Pitch lake in La Brea, the mud volcano in Tabaquite, Piparo and Princes Town and to the Caroni Bird Sanctuary to see our national bird the Scarlet Ibis. Of course our weekend would not be complete without visiting one of our beaches like Maracas, Las Cuevas, Blanchisseuse, Toco, Grand Reverie, Matelot or San Souci in the north or Manzanilla, Mayaro in the east & Icacos, Cedros, Quinam, Morne Diablo, La Lune south west.

We chose to live in the Valley because of our love for nature and the atmosphere it created to raise and grow our family. We designed and built our home to maximize the panoramic view of the stunning green forest s and vegetation on the exquisite mountains of the Northern Range

Our home is also centrally located and in close proximity to all the normal amenities you can want while not in the center of the hustle & bustle of the town or city center. We are located only 20 mins from the country's capital city Port of Spain and the main towns of Chaguanas and Arima. The shopping Malls Grand Bazaar & Valpark Shopping Plaza are only 10 mins away while you can get a selection of fast food like KFC, Subway, Burger King and Papa John Pizza only 5 mins away. We are also very close to a variety of local street foods like Doubles, gyros, corn soup, roti, fresh baked bread and pastries again only 5 mins away.

I'm an ardent lover of hiking and outdoor sports so being so close to the mountains allows me the opportunity through hiking to visit some of the best local waterfalls, rivers and plunge pools in the area like Maracas Water falls, Habio Falls, Rincon & Angel falls all located in the pristine rain forests. In addition to the scenic surroundings, the serene atmosphere interrupted by the chirping birds, the radiant sunrise and sunset and the full rays of the moonlight coming over the mountain top is very therapeutic.

Our home is very spacious and airy with its high ceiling and beautiful arches giving it the palacial feeling. The view from any location in the house is spectacular and we have taken advantage of the view by designing wrap around patios that optimizes this panoramic view of the mountains. It is the favorite location for entertaining with a BBQ gill located overlooking the fish pond with its' multicolored Koi's and gold fishes. As you awake to the chirping of birds and step on to the patio you will experience a sunrise of a lifetime. Here you can enjoy a sumptuous local breakfast, sip your favorite beverage and enjoy the hummingbirds feeding or walk across and look at the Kois' in their pond. At night you can pop a bottle of wine with your dinner and enjoy the moon.

This first floor is a shared space that houses the living and dining areas, as well as the Kitchen, bar, foyer, den and a bathroom. The main dining table sits 6 persons with 8 additional seating at the Kitchen breakfast table and the bar. The TV sitting room and entertainment area houses a 65" Smart TV with access to Cable, Netflix & Disney+. The living room caters for children who may want to dabble in some music, painting or reading. There's also a library with fiction and non-fiction books for the avid readers and a workstation.

This private air conditioned 2 Bedroom Apartment sleeps 4 persons is very cozy, romantic and caters for a small family. Full kitchen is available to prepare lunch & dinner, breakfast is include in the accommodation price already. It contains a Gas Stove/Oven, 11 cu ft. Refrigerator, 0.9 cu ft. Microwave, kettle, other appliances and cutlery. There is also two sinks. The sitting & dining area accommodates 6 persons with a dining table chairs and 2 sofas. There's also the entertainment center that houses the 40" Smart TV and sound system. There's also a variety of magazines and books available. There's an ensuite bathroom located centrally between both bedrooms.
