Excellent Location

The place was perfect for my parent's wedding anniversary vacation with my sisters, their husbands, my nephews and niece. The private beach was great for swimming and launching the kayaks.

Great experience and great property for a large group. Kitchen was more than adequate for our group 12 adults and 2 children. Perfect location to just kick back and relax on the porch or down by the water. Owner was nearby and available for any questions or concerns. Would recommend highly.

Beautiful location

Beautiful location, beach is wonderful for small children, quiet cove. House is large enough to accommodate a large group. Wrap around porch and outside patio with seating makes up for the small kitchen. Owner is close by and is readily available if needed.

Great Vacation

The property had everything we wanted for outdoor activities. Our grandchildren enjoyed many hours of great fun at the beach, swimming and playing on their Lilly Pad The adults enjoyed their cruises on my son’s boat conveniently docked next to the beach. We also loved our times in the gazebo and wrap around porch, and barbecue area. JUnfortunately the owner did not honor his prior agreement that we could play croquet on the lawn something that we had always been an integral part of all of our previous vacations. As for the interior of the house, we all appreciated the en-suite bathrooms, but found the living room needed better lighting. Our cooks complained about the lack of condiments and microwave friendly dishes. The owner was quick to respond to any questions we had. We all enjoyed our stay and would recommend the Inn to anyone with a large family group.

Beautiful property/Not private

This is not a private property. Owner and his family live on the property as well. Bob is very nice and truly takes pride in his house. Workers were around daily trimming bushes scraping paint etc. Several times I was changing and looked up to find a worker outside my room. We rented a boat from a nearby marina which Bob pulled out his tape measure to be sure we stated the correct length. Bob also entered the house while we were there. The rooms were quaint and my adult children appreciated their own bathroom in each room. We did very much enjoy our time but as we pay for a whole house rental we do expect some privacy. Having a beach for our kayaks and paddle boards as well as a shared dock was nice for our lake entertainment.

Little Piece of Paradise

This was a wonderful location for our family. The owner's met us when we arrived and went over details of the home. They were available if we had any questions. The house is an old Inn with a lot of character. Every bedroom had AC. I did suggest they install AC or window fans in the main living area as it was an extremely hot week. I believe they are working on this. The private beach was amazing. Large enough for the adults and all 8 grandchildren. We took our paddle boards and a canoe. We were also able to rent a pontoon boat for the week as a dock was provided for our use. We absolutely want to return next year. There is so much room inside and outside. There was a patio area in the back of the house with plenty of tables and seating for all of us. The beautiful wrap around porch was a wonderful spot to sit and watch the sunset or to enjoy your morning coffee. I will try to post some pictures we took on their facebook page. I give this rating a perfect 10! Beth Jones & Family

The best things about this house are the gazebo, the dock and that our family had their own bed/bathrooms. Upon arrival we were struck with many posted negative signs: Don't walk on the grass, limit yard games to the (small) beach, don't move any furniture, no food in the bedrooms, etc. This is not a fully stocked kitchen; there were only flimsy bargain cooking utensils and no soaps (dishwasher/dish/hand/laundry). There were many plates and eating utensils, but very dull utility knives . There was no Tupperware, baggies, plastic or aluminum wrap. Grill worked great but the grill utensils were almost unusable. When we asked for more toilet paper we were told that we had to buy it ourselves. Bob did enter the house during our stay. 3 of our 6 days were disturbed by loud machinery of the pot-smoking landscape crew. Bob allowed us to move a picnic table from the back patio to the gazebo (only 2 coffee tables there) with the numerous reminders that we needed to put it back. Most of the trash cans didn't have any extra required (another sign) plastic bag liners; we were told that we had to get them ourselves. The lighting inside is poor and several of the switches at the entrances to bedrooms didn't work. This house is on a crowded property with at least 5 other buildings very close to it with people walking between the house and the beach/gazebo. We made the most of this rental with ample parking and it is on a beautiful lake. Take the listing descriptions with a grain of salt...

Great location lovely property

This is a property situated on lovely grounds with a dock and very nice gazebo. The beach has lounge and sand chairs There is a sandy beach and swimming right off the back of the house. The gazebo has seating enough for about 10. The dock was great for our boat. The farmers porch was the place we spent most of our time. There was plenty of seating and beautiful views The houses interior is a bit dark, but has a colonial type charm. There is seating for about six people in the living room. There is a large tv but we had to stream television through our lap top. The kitchen has all the things you would need. There are two refrigerators, which is very useful for a large group. The bedrooms are all impeccably clean with clean white sheets and plenty of bath towels. Everyone having their own bathroom was a bonus. The kitchen could not seat us all, but there is a patio off the back of the house that has two large tables. We used the grill every night. The only negatives I have, which might be a positive for some. It was an old colonial bed and breakfast. The house was made up of a medium sized kitchen and medium sized living room which did not allow for our family to all lounge Or eat together. However the outdoor options are very nice. Some found The house dark inside. The brick walkway was fine for everyone except the 80 year old. The owner lives next door and is generally present keeping a close eye on the property. I would Rent this house again.

Excellent vacation lodging

We had a wonderful time with room for our 3 generations to share our vacation. Plenty of room and privacy, the house is big and comfy, the private beach is awesome for the little ones and the gazebo is awesome. Location is excellent.

Stunning property and location!

The owner Bob was attentive and accommodating. The property was centrally located to all the activities we had planned, renting a boat at Fay's boat yard as well as the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion for live music. The private beach made swimming for the kids easy... the fact that every room had its own bathroom was a plus for 3 teenage girls! We will be coming back as the property fit our family reunion perfectly!
