We have opened up the Bunkhouse next to out Ranch house for guests that want a comfortable and relaxing get away from the city life or an exciting adventure out of their norm. We are family owned and operated Horse Ranch. We're still building as we go and improving every day to become a place where we can entertain, educate and rehabilitate folks from all over. We have big plans for our little slice of heaven and while you are here you can get involved with our day to day living or watch from the porch or in the hot tub. Our welcoming committee is a very friendly group of dogs that bark to let us know you are here and meet you at your door for petting and a sweet hello. The horses are everywhere and just as curious and loving as the dogs here...just a tad bigger. You can stay to yourself and explore the Ranch or mix n mingle with us as we come n go during the day. The Bunkhouse is comfy and has several personal touches to make it magical for young or older folks. You get to experience what it's like to live on a Ranch/ Horse Farm in the hills of KY while staying a stones throw from Mammoth cave national park. And we have a hot tub with a beautiful view to boot!
Special Buckaroo camp in July 24-28th for kids 9-15 yrs old accompanied by an adult. multiple siblings can be accompanied by one adult. 10 spaces available $500.00 per child, adult free . This includes all activities and assigned horses and special events over the 5 days. if interested, message us at Dragonfly Ranch for more information and booking. Thank you

We had the most wonderful stay at The Bunkhouse @ Dragonfly Ranch. Nestled near Mammoth Cave, this cozy retreat truly felt like a home away from home. The property sits on over 90 beautiful acres, offering peace, privacy, and plenty of space to explore and enjoy nature.The space was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up for relaxation. But what truly made our experience unforgettable was the incredible hospitality of our hosts. They went above and beyond by taking us on a long, scenic trail ride with their horses — a personal and generous touch that made our trip one-of-a-kind.If you’re looking for a peaceful escape with welcoming hosts and a truly special atmosphere, this is the place. Peaceful and comfortable!

“Home away from home” is right—we (my spouse and I, my mom, and 9yo daughter) felt very welcomed. The bunkhouse is super spacious and my daughter loved the canopy bed and the room with twinkling ceiling lights! We all enjoyed being able to wander the meadow and see the beautiful horses, and the dogs were so friendly and sweet! Great communication, would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful and breathtaking!

6 of us visited from Pittsburgh and Erie, PA for a bachelorette get-a-way to do 4 cave tours and relax. Tonya was AMAZING and opened up their way of life to us! We were able to mingle with all the pups and horses and had great views as we explored the property. The host tub was clean and relaxing after a long day of walking miles of the nearby caves! We had plenty of room and more in the bunkhouse for games, cooking, and enjoying good laughs. Highly recommend Tonya and her family's hospitality for making our stay amazing. Thank you!!!

Great stay

Tonya greeted us & is very friendly & helpful. The place has everything you need for a great family stay. The upstairs was stocked with various snacks & even some staples such as pancake mix. Main floor has a nice queen bed & a handicapped shower. The walkout basement has 2 queen beds, 1 bunk bed & 2 twin beds plus a full bath. The frig on lower lever had various snacks for the kids, tons of movies, a gaming system with lots of games. The 4 boys had fun at nite with all of these. We went out to walk among the horses & they all came up to be petted. There were also 2 bonus puppies who were adorable. Their mamas were very sweet. Beautiful country here!

Peaceful & Relaxing

Place is exactly as described. Scenery is amazing and peaceful. You have to go outside at night and look up to the sky and experience the stars. Horses and dogs are so friendly. We enjoyed walking the pasture with the horses. Tonya was so very helpful and accommodating. Recommendations I have for if you stay are make sure to bring boots just in case it rains, and house heat is from wood burner. If you don't know how to use that ask Tonya and she will show you exactly what to do. We will definitely be coming back.

Family stay on the ranch.

My kids and I stayed for 2 nights at dragonfly ranch. Their ages range from 17-24. We knew the house would be older and quaint. We had a great stay. Tonya was responsive to any questions I had. Sadie was very nice. We enjoyed hanging out on porch at night, listening to music, there were always 2 in the hot tub. It was so relaxing to walk the pasture with the horses all round. And we all fell in love with the 4 dogs on the ranch. We ordered carry out at Blue Holler Cafe one morning for breakfast. It was great, and great price., we spent one day at mammoth cave . 45 minutes to visitor center. We loved our stay, and the kids are requesting to go there again for a weekend. It was such great family time I’m so thankful for. We happened to be outside during the northern lights, it was beautiful! my only suggestion would be, which would be an easy fix, is to double check cleanliness of dishes in cabinets/the kitchen, the fridge, the porch, porch table and chairs. The hot tub could be hotter but it certainly worked on keeping the aches away. I appreciate the care and patience when horseback riding which made the experience very memorable. Loved the ranch. You should add those small strips of lights under the kitchen cabinets. Loved having a full kitchen.

When I first booked the property I thought oh cool a horse ranch. But the reality of it was “ this place is amazing” one of the very best vrbos we have ever stayed at. The host and her family were so friendly and the horses were there a rooster that just chilled and dogs who were so nice and friendly. Sadie offered a tour of the property and it was just an all around great experience would recommend to not only family and friend but also complete strangers.

Peaceful, comfortable stay

Cozy, well furnished, comfortable accommodations. Quiet, peaceful surroundings. We were encouraged to walk around the property, play with the friendly dogs, visit the horses and use the grill. We felt like we were home! Lovely experience.

Fabulous group stay and location

Our Girl Scout Troop thoroughly enjoyed this place!! The horses, the decore, the hot tub, games, ability to sleep in proximity for late night chats, plenty of room for everyone to eat together, and the list goes on. The leaders loved that we met the rules where we were separate for sleeping and also had plenty of space. There was so much to explore that the leaders could get some downtime and troop was still busy. Close proximity to mammoth cave visitor center and from there, only 15 miles to Buc-cees. Everything about this place is fun, clean and all your needs are met!! Thanks so much Tonya !! You have a great place !!

Great family stay at Dragon Fly Ranch

Its a legit working horse farm on 90 acres. We have 4 kids, ages 7 to 12. They loved it. Tonya, the host, is super helpful and friendly. Walk the grounds, pet the horses, explore the pastures, check out the "cave". A bit of a drive to Mammoth Caves, but we were looking for a place that was a little more secluded. Would definitely recommend for a great experience!

Went to blue holler off park to side sxs’s. Found this very nice off the beaten path house. Loved it, clean easy to get to and the host always answered my messages. Would recommend.

Staying at a ranch, we didn't expect it to be so clean. But this was the cleanest vacation house we have ever stayed at!! The horses and dogs were amazing. Tonya was great! We will definitely be returning!!

This was a very nice stay to get away from the city. Ample amount of room. We did a lot of tourist things that were within 30 to 45 minutes of our stay - mammoth cave, kentucky down under, amish bakeries, other cave tours.
