Located in the heart of the RRG, Peregrine is a hike-in cabin built for those who love the outdoors. If you're looking for all the amenities of city life, this cabin is not for you. If you're looking for a wilderness retreat in one of the most beautiful places in Kentucky, search no farther.
This is a special place to reset from the fast-paced life. You'll drive through the Nada Tunnel, park in the valley, and ascend up the mountain 1/4 mile with 100 ft of elevation change to reach Peregrine cabin surrounded by the breathtaking topography of the RRG.
Located at the base of the giant sandstone monolith, Peregrine Rock, Peregrine cabin offers accommodations for up to four people with a queen bed upstairs and a pull-out couch downstairs. You're welcome to explore this incredible property (at your own risk). You can expect to find rare flora and fauna, and unique rock formations at every turn.
This off-the-grid cabin has everything you should need for an ideal wilderness vacation in the RRG.
Small kitchen: equipped with a small burner for cooking, fresh water, a sink with non-potable water, dishware, silverware (you can also use the propane grill outside for all cooking needs) Dining area: seating for up to four. Living room: Pullout couch (sleeping for two), chairs, cozy blankets, and a propane fireplace for colder months. Upstairs: Walk outside to access the upper room. There you will find a queen bed, access to the roof (please be gentle on the roof) and chair hammocks for the roof.
Outside: Hang out area: Fireplace, chairs, Propane grill, picnic table. Outdoor shower: Spring-fed propane hot water shower Sky net: A few yards from the cabin, you will find a private skynet to hangout in. It's awesome! Outhouse: You will find an odorless private outhouse with provided pine and cedar shavings for each "flush"
There is no WIFI provided at this cabin. Depending on your cell provider, you may have phone service. For 5G service, drive 12 minutes into Slade.
Peregrine Cabin is located on a 15-acre nature preserve, and we don't spray pesticides or herbicides. We work meticulously to prepare the property for each stay. Nevertheless, you may encounter some wildlife or insects on the property. If you're not an outdoor person, we recommend a hotel instead.
-Check-in is at 5 PM (early check-in of 3 PM is available for $45) -Check-out is at 10 AM (late check-out of 12 PM is available for $45) -Pets are allowed: $75/pet for the entire stay (We ask that pets are kept off of beds, bedding, and furniture. Pets must be accompanied at all times or crated if left in the cabin alone) -Guests are required to sign a rental agreement within 48 hours of booking.
