Mkunguni beach house with a dream view

In our beach villa with a breathtaking view of the Indian Ocean, up to 10 people can spend their vacation directly on the beach in four rooms. From every bed in the house you have a fantastic view of the turquoise blue sea!

The house, located directly on one of the most beautiful sandy beaches in Zanzibar, has two apartments with separate access and their own veranda. From the veranda you can enjoy the wonderful view of the Indian Ocean.

The upper apartment: 2 people per room, each room has its own shower bath with hot water and its own refrigerator, an outdoor kitchen with basic equipment, the sunset roof terrace, additional large roof terrace with a view of the turquoise blue sea and the beach and not only for kite surfers beloved sandbar. Each spacious and well-kept room has its own shower room, one of the rooms has its own balcony. The spacious roof terrace allows plenty of privacy. An outdoor kitchen is available. Food can be prepared on request. The rooms can be rented individually or together as an apartment. Of course you can also request the entire house. Please mark this directly with your first request. Breakfast and lunch / dinner can be prepared on request at an additional cost.
The lower apartment has two bedrooms with sea views and is suitable for up to five people, a bathroom, a large lounge and a kitchenette. On the wooden veranda you can enjoy the view of the beach and the sea. This apartment is ideal for families with small children. A cot can be provided on request. Children are welcome!

A kitesurfing school is located at the end of the sandy beach. Despite the tides, there are very good conditions thanks to a sandbar reaching into the turquoise blue sea.

Getting to know Zanzibar and the people: The proximity to the village not only offers protection, but also the opportunity to participate in the life of the villagers and thus experience Zanzibar, its culture and ways of life. The house is looked after by selected villagers who provide access to family life. Thanks to the special rental concept, the income flows into the standard security of the house, but also into social projects of the village and the training of some villagers. Several shops and restaurants are in the vicinity. The bus also stops nearby. Our local cooperation partners are available for excursions in and around Zanzibar, as well as rental cars for your arrival. We will be happy to provide you with further information and prices on request.

Amazing location and wonderful experience

I spent a month here with a couple of my children and their friends. We had a fantastic stay. The location right on the beachfront is breathtaking. Jambiani is a good location, a number of restaurants to choose from and only 15 mins drive into the much busier Paje. The house is relatively simple but very comfortable, there is an upstairs and downstairs apartment which are separate. I preferred the upstairs one which has an open kitchen and eating area. We were very well looked after by Sulei who was very attentive and made us feel very comfortable. I would definitely recommend a visit.

Best place for a relaxing holiday

We had both apartments and had some memorable days filled with relaxation, beautiful views, and beachlife. Great house, very functional and with the best views you can imagine. Very nice outside area in the top apartment for sunbathing and hanging out in the evening. Gets hot in December, but with the fans and sea breeze it was all fine. It was great to be away from the tourist fuzz and relax in a very quiet beach area. Great hosts with responsive Kerstin, always very helpful Sulei on site, and with great breakfasts from Aisha. This is not a posh holiday listing with AC and generator, but works great if you can live without that. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful house in Jambiani. The house is very well kept and perfectly located in a quiet, peaceful part of Jambiani, while still being within easy walking distance of many great local restaurants. The nearby beach is absolutely beautiful and never felt crowded.A special mention must go to Sulei, who looks after the house. He is genuinely one of the nicest, friendliest, and most helpful people you could hope to meet. He is always available and happy to help organise anything you need, from deliveries and errands to laundry (guests don’t use the washing machine themselves, but Sulei does it for you).Breakfast can be cooked by a lovely lady who lives nearby and delivered to the house. Her breakfasts were excellent, and we were told she can also prepare other meals if requested.We stayed in both the upstairs and downstairs apartments. The upstairs has two comfortable bedrooms with fans and mosquito nets, plus a lovely outdoor veranda with sun loungers. Each bedroom has a small fridge, which is great for drinks, though food storage is limited if you plan to cook a lot. The downstairs apartment has a larger kitchen with a medium-sized fridge, two nice bedrooms, a shared bathroom, and a small grassy garden.Overall, a fantastic place to stay with great hospitality. We would happily return and highly recommend it.

Beautiful private villa, spacious in and outside. Lovely views. Lovely attentive housekeeper.

We loved staying here but the weekly party at coral Rock is unbearably loud for ourselves and local residents. Also massai set up camp outside garden gate and ended up not using it as they hassled us a lot. The photo on Vrbo is misleading, front of villa is coral rocks. Also would benefit from a rail on stairs leading downstairs.

Zanzibar beach paradise

Our 9 nights at the Zanzibar beach house were better than we could ever have imagined! The home accommodated our family of 6 perfectly, with room to spare! The close proximity to the ocean was perfect. Sulei, the housekeeper, was so gracious and helpful, especially in lining up drivers and tour guides for everything we wanted to do! Our tour guide Mussa took really good care of us as well. We appreciated seeing every part of the island and the snorkeling too. Kiersten stayed in touch and made sure everything was going well. We even met her sister, Connie, who was kind and helpful. Our stay couldn’t have been better! Thank you!

Wanderful trip to Zanzibar

We are very happy about our location in Jambiani, the house is very beautiful, just in front of the sea. We appreciated a lot of sunrises ,just opening our windows. The house is very well equiped, with a touch of European style, but respecting the environment. I was with my husband and my son,18 yes old, who has profited of very good kite surf lessons, The housekeeper , Sulei,took care of us, very kindly, we appreciated the time he spent with us, he was always available, for every need.I recommend strongly this location , there are some restaurants very close and we enjoyed some breakfasts prepared by Suleia, une femme du village. There are some local small shops for fruits and beverage, and a bigger village nearby, 10 min by car. We rented a car for 2 weeks, it is not very easy to drive because of the bad roads, but my husband succeeded. We did very good excursions all around. The snorkeling was great, just keep in mind to do it with the low tide, it's better view. We went to Stone Town, we loved a lot.

Stunning view of the sea and its ever changing colours

We had a great time in Jambiani. Very relaxing, especially as we took on the whole upstairs apartment, which was definitely worth the modest increase in price. Soleil, the house keeper, looked after us very well and brought us fresh fruit and omelettes when requested. Lots of restaurants are within walking distance, our best being the Mahi Mahi, a new place 5 mins walk south along the beach, when tide allows. The beach is unusual in that at high tide it is very narrow and the sea is only 10 metres from the from the garden gate. At low tide you could walk/paddle about 1km to a deep enough channel to swim. Another 2km beyond the channel to walk/paddle to the reef. We hired a car locally which was reasonable and was useful, as we like exploring. Not many places take card payments and the nearest ATM is 7 km away. Our favourite places were the Rock restaurant (20 mins north) and picturesque Mtende beach (20 mins south.) A minor negative was that on Monday nights the Coral Rock hotel, close by, has a disco every Monday night which goes on into the early hours. We were unprepared, but ear plugs would have been useful! All in all, a very pretty part of Africa, and worth visiting, especially if you’re into kite surfing!

Super schönes Haus mit einer herrlicher Dachterrasse

Wir haben uns sehr wohl im dem Haus gefühlt.Unser Hausmeister hat uns jeden Tag auf Wunsch ein wunderbares Frühstück gezaubert mit frischen Obst. Die Wäsche wurde uns sehr unkompliziert gewaschen.Die Dachterrasse mit der outdoor Küche war das absolute Highlight.Einen großartigen Blick über den indischen Ozean.Am Sonntag & Montag gabs Musik vom Hotel in der unmittelbaren Nähe.Wir hatten Alle unseren Spaß u. den direkten Heimvorteil Jederzeit würden wir das Haus wieder buchen.Danke noch Mal für Alles!

Nous avons passé un bon séjour dans cette maison vu sur mer(prévoir chaussures d eau), près de la population locale avec de bons échanges,un accueil chaleureux dans notre maison avec un local appelé Sulei , à l écoute, travailleur.serviable Possibilité d avoir des bouteilles d eau de 16 litres tres pratique, possibilité d avoir repas préparé sur place.il manquerait un micro onde.un problème,le dimanche et lundi soir hôtel avec discothèque jusqu à 4h du matin très proche de la maison, impossible de dormir.

tarif élevé par rapport à l'équipement

Nous avons loué pour 3 semaines l'étage supérieur de cette maison. ( 4 personnes adultes) Points positifs : Une vue magnifique sur le lagon - Une terrasse très agréable dont l'exposition est bien conçue car elle permet de profiter du panorama mais aussi de passer les soirées à l'abri du vent - Une excellente literie - L'accueil de Sulei très attentionné et disponible. Points négatifs : Un équipement rudimentaire, certes nous sommes en Afrique et en acceptons volontiers les contraintes mais le tarif demandé pour la location peut nous laisser espérer un minimum de confort, ce n'est pas le cas .Par exemple : pas de penderie dans les chambres, impossible de suspendre robes et chemises, pas d'étagère dans les salles de bain, rien , ne serait ce que pour mettre les trousses de toilette et surtout un équipement de cuisine plus que rudimentaire, pas d'évier, une plaque de cuisson électrique d'appoint avec laquelle il est difficile de cuisiner , des petits frigidaires peu adapté au niveau de la contenance, on est obligé d'aller faire les courses tous les jours. En fait cette location peut être satisfaisante si vous restez peu de temps sans faire vous même les repas.

Traumurlaub von Anfang an....

...ob die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin, die Abholung vom Flughafen oder der Empfang - alles war perfekt. Wir waren zu zweit und hatten die obere Eage des Strandhauses gemietet.Es ist grundsätzlich sehr ruhig , auf der hinteren Seite das Dorf, auf der vorderen Seite der Ozean- fantastisch! Da immer ein sanfter Wind bläst, wird es nie zu heiß und es ist faszinierend Ebbe und Flut zu beobachten. Der "Spaziergang auf dem Meeresboden" bleibt unvergesslich schön! In näherer Umgebung , fußläufig , gibt es gute Restaurants und Bars. Nach Paje kommt man bequem mit dem Taxi oder - etwas abenteuerlicher - mit dem "Dala-Dala" bei Ebbe sogar zu Fuß am Strand:-) Im Haus war alles da und alles funktionierte. Der Hauskeeper war stets für uns da, hat uns super beraten und hervorragend umsorgt. Fü uns war es der perfekte Urlaub und wir kommen sicher wieder!

Magnifique maison parfaitement située

Je recommande cette maison sans hésitation, sa vue est à couper le souffle, plusieurs bars restaurants à proximité, mais surtout après avoir visité toute l’île, Jambiani est de loin l’endroit que nous avons préféré pour sa proximité avec les habitants, très naturel et peu de touristes, les plages sont magnifiques. Sulei qui s’est occupé de nous pendant le séjour est juste une personne merveilleuse, adorable, bienveillant, toujours souriant tout en timidité. Il conseille avec plaisirs sur les endroits à visiter, les choses à faire etc. Nous avons eu un problème de voiture, il est immédiatement venu nous aider, en résumé, une belle personne de confiance et avec qui s’est un plaisir d’échanger. Nous avons passé un très beau séjour

Traumhaus am Traumstrand

Absolut tolle Umgebung, als wir da waren, war kaum Touristen. Haus ist sehr großzügig, allerdings ohne Glasfenster, sodass manchmal Müllverbrennungsduft reinzieht. Manchmal sehr laut wenn Partys im Red Monkey oder im Coral Rock stattfinden ... Am besten hingehen und nicht versuchen zu schlafen 😉

magnifique séjour en famille

Super séjour dans cette maison spacieuse face à la plage. Nous avons été accueillis et conseillés tout au long de notre séjour par Sulei, qui s'est montré à la fois discret et efficace. Traumhafte Lage mit herrlichem Blick

Wir hatten beide Dachterrassenwohnungen gemietet und konnten somit die gesamte Terrasse mit Außenküche für uns nutzen. Die Lage ist an einem wunderschönen Sandstrand und man hat einen wundervollen Blick auf den Indischen Ozean. Der Hausverwalter Sulei war für uns jederzeit da und hat uns jeden Wunsch erfüllen können. Das Abendessen haben wir uns kochen lassen, was Sulei organisiert hat, und war sehr sehr sehr lecker. Auch die Vermieterin war für uns jeder Zeit erreichbar und hat uns in unserer Urlaubsplanung phantastisch unterstütz. Setzt euch einfach mit ihr in Verbindung und ihr bekommt alle Fragen rund um euren Urlaub beantwortet. Für Kiter ist dieser Strandabschnitt besonders schön, da hier fast ausschließlich Feinsand ist, was sich vor allem bei Ebbe hervorragend macht. Wir waren rundum zufrieden und hatten eine tolle Zeit und konnten uns fantastisch erholen.

Dream stay with a dream view

You will literally live on the beach with this property and witness the majestic sunrises and intriguing tidal extremes every day on the lunar cycle. You will also witness the daily village life be played out on the beach, with its fishermen and football matches. We stayed on the ground floor and really enjoyed it with our two young boys. It does take some getting used to, especially the various noises - from waves crashing in the middle of the night to weekly parties in the two nearby hotels - but this becomes part of life living here. The housekeeper Sulei is very helpful and brought us breakfast every morning among other things. And Kerstin is very quick to respond to messages and support your stay in general. Enjoy!

Un petit coin de paradis au cœur du village

Nous avons adoré notre séjour chez Kerstin, même à des milliers de kms , Kerstin est très réactive et est toujours en contact pour rendre notre séjour agréable. Un des employés Khéri propose de nous apporter des repas selon nos besoins, nos envies ( poissons grillés, poulpe, poulet etc... des plats typiques à un prix très raisonnable préparés par sa femme), Said et Kheri mettent tout en œuvre pour que notre séjour soit parfait.Nous sommes au cœur du village, la vue sur l'océan est paradisiaque.Le lieu est sécure, Said est là pour vous conseiller surtout nous préserver de mauvais choix de visites et nous éviter de payer des visites hors de prix , mais aussi s'occuper du linge quand vous avez besoin.Ils sont heureux de nous rendre heureux, La literie est d'excellente qualité,les ventilateurs au plafond sont parfaits pour dormir , silencieux et efficaces, le wifi fonctionne très bien .C'est un séjour qui nous a permis de nous ressourcer pour affronter un retour bien anxiogène en France. ALORS MILLE FOIS MERCI Jambiani nous manque déjà....

Glücklicherweise haben wir die letzten Jahre immer Glück bei der Wahl unserer Ferienwohnungen gehabt, so wie auch dieses Mal. Das Haus liegt am unteren Ende von Jambiani und ist mit einem kleinen Strandabschnitt angenehme von der nördlich gelegenen "Hotelstränden" abgesetzt. Und wenn man abends seine Kinder mit den Einheimischen am Strand spielen sieht, wenn man mit den Leuten aus dem Dorf in Kontakt kommt, dann fühlt man sich irgendwie "zu Hause". Das Haus hat 2 Wohnungen, eine im Erdgeschoss mit Terrasse und eine im Obergeschoss mit Dachterrasse. Mit Kindern haben wir die untere genommen, denn die Schlafzimmer in der oberen sind durch die Dachterrasse getrennt. Auf der Terrasse hat man bis etwas mittags Sonne, ab nachmittags kann man im Schatten entspannen. Sonnenanbeter würde ich das Obergeschoss empfehlen, denn auf der Dachterrasse hat man eben den ganzen Tag Sonne. Dank Leihwagen sind wir fast jeden Tag kurz nach Paje gefahren, dort gibt es einen kleinen Markt, ein paar kleine Einkaufsmärkte und ein paar Straßenküchen. Das war einfach fantastisch. Für Fragen und organisatorische Unterstützung stand uns Said vor Ort zur Seite, das war einfach klasse! Vielen Dank!

Paradies

Wir (grosse Familie mit jungen Erwachsenen)verbrachten hier Ende August/Anfang September 2019 unseren Urlaub. Das Haus, seine Lage und der wohl schönste Strandabschnitt in der Gegend waren "paradiesisch". Das Wetter war ideal, sonnig und nicht zu heiss für viele Aktivitäten. Auch vom Dorfgeschehen bekommt man einiges mit, nicht zuletzt durch Said und Kehri, die beiden stets geduldigen und hilfsbereiten Housekeeper, die alles für uns organisierten (Ausflüge, Einkäufe...) und immer für uns ansprechbar und zur Stelle waren. Am Strand war für jeden etwas geboten: Hohe Wellen, Ebbe mit Sandbank, Kitesurfen und Schnorcheln, Strandbar und Restaurant. Auch das zu wirklich vernünftigen Preisen und wieder von Said organisiert. Besondersn für grosse Familien (man kann die Wohnungen aber auch einzeln mieten wenn man nur zu viert ist ) ein absoluter Volltreffer. Die Hausbesitzerin Kerstin, die gerade nicht vor Ort sein konnte, stand uns jederzeit telefonisch mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Wir fühlten uns immer bestens versorgt und sehr sehr wohl! Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen und hoffen, dass uns das baldmöglichst gelingt.
