This was the perfect set up for our family of four, lots of room to be together and prepare meals and also space to be 'alone' at the end of the day. The beach is gorgeous and so quiet - the sound of the waves is great therapy!Andrew was amazing and so helpful - thank you.Bruce - you have a lovely spot - thank you for sharing it.

Steps from the ocean

Split our time in the Bahamas to do some scuba diving in Freeport but the weather didn’t cooperate but we did get some great snorkeling in a few days. House is located a short walk to Banana Bay for drinks and food, they have a great sand bar to where you can walk quite a way out in the ocean. Groceries and amenities are close and great location for everything.

Lovely Seaside House

The setting is absolutely gorgeous - walk across the yard takes you to a beautiful beach. The house itself is very clean and comfortable and has everything you need for an easy stay. Andrew, the house manager, is responsive and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place!

Amazing Location

We had two couples that stayed here and we had an absolutely amazing stay! The pictures don’t do justice to how close you are to the beach - literally 10 steps! The place felt like home when we walked in the door! Comfy furniture. Plenty of cooking utensils and housewares in the kitchen so we enjoyed a few home-cooked meals. Plenty of beach toys and towels. We could easily have amused ourselves here all week but did have a car so easily explored the island from this somewhat central location. Would absolutely stay here again!!

Absolutely AMAZING!

We were a family of four, and had an absolutely incredible stay at Bruce and Anna’s home. From airport pickup with Andrew, to an incredibly clean, warm and welcoming home- every detail you could ever think of was already covered! Lots of cookware if you want to cook in, and great restaurant recommendations (The Sand Bar, Banana Bay, and more!) The beds were SO comfy, and the entire home was just so wonderful to be in. The beach front location was absolutely perfect, and it was so nice to just walk out anytime you wanted to enjoy the ocean!!! We were often the only people on the beach! It was magical! Utmost thanks to Bruce and Anna for being incredible hosts and allowing my family to make such special memories! We hope to come back!

Perfect reset

Everything about this villa is a perfect set up for relaxation. The location couldn’t be better. It's quiet but close enough to Banana Bay to walk for drinks or food. The porch is the gold medal winner. If it’s windy … porch, rainy.. porch, too hot… porch. Bruce was easy to contact and Andrew is the kindest person we spoke with all week. Thank you!

Great location!

We had a wonderful time here! The kids loved waking up and playing on the beach everyday. There was an area the kids could snorkel right out front (they have plenty of snorkels at the house, no need to pack them) and we walked to Banana Bay most days for lunch which was very convenient. We rented a car from Brads which is definitely a must. The location of this house is perfectly central to all kinds of visitor spots and restaurants. Stoned Crab restaurant, Port Lucaya, and Coral Vita were some of our favorite spots! There is a pool on the property, however it doesn't look very well maintained so we stuck to the beach. Andrew was a wonderful help with getting from the airport to the rental when we arrived. The weather wasn't the greatest for our visit, luckily we had the covered porch to hide from the rain. The rental had all the necessities for cooking, lots of beach chairs, towels, and we benefitted from doing laundry on site! All around great spot for a family vacation!

Best location on the Island.

We paid for the location and we were not disappointed. Centrally located and walking distance to restaurants on the beach. We hope to return next year.

Amazing property

This experience was one of the best. The property manager met us at the airport, showed us the house, answered questions. The house was beautiful and well equipped. The view couldn't of been better. So close to the beach/ocean. Absolutely beautiful, so relaxing. We will definitely be going back.

Beautiful House with the Best Location on the Island

Bruce has it down!! This house is Beautiful, well stocked kitchen and linens, very clean with an excellent location. Beach is private and clean, restaurants in walking distance. Andrew is always available and helpful. Neighborhood is quiet, clean and gated. We visit Grand Bahamas /Freeport 6 to 8 times a year we put this House at the top of the list best place we have stayed. Don't hesitate book it now & go de-compress I promise its heaven waiting. Fairwinds and following seas to our son

Our host Bruce had great communication with us even with him living in another time zone. When we arrived to the airport, Sonia was there to greet us and direct us to our house. She answered questions we had about the island. Andrew was not only helpful in getting us propane for the gas grill, he also is an excellent chef. Take advantage of his delicious local and fresh food he makes. The house was absolutely beautiful! The beach is literally a few steps out the back door of the house. It was clean and had all the basic necessities. Due to the hurricane a few years ago, the island is having difficulties rebuilding which can make tourism suffer. The casino is no longer there as well as several restaurants, although advertised on the Internet. Our advice is to drive around yourself or ask others. There are some great local restaurants available nearby and even walking distance from the VRBO. All in all, this is just what our family needed. A way to relax and spend time together before our son joined the US military. Good food, friendly local people, beautiful beaches, beautiful house and great family time. We would stay here again!

Such a special stay! It was all we were hoping and more…location is epic, house is beautiful and was perfect for my family of 5, communication was great, I could go on and on! Only regret was it went by too fast! Cant wait to go back!

Great getaway

Directly on beach which made for long lazy days. Banana bay within walking distance for lunch and drinks. Grocery store within driving distance, we cooked in most evenings. Very relaxing

Family Vacation

What a perfect week! So much to do on the property and close by. Our family, including 3 older teens, had an amazing time. The house had a well appointed kitchen, a water cooler and enough space for everyone to have their own little oasis. Beds were comfortable and it was nice to have bathrooms in every bedroom. We had friends on the island, so we didn’t cook much, however the grocery store was close. Andrew was great, but since we already had some local connections, we didn’t often need his assistance. We recommend renting a car to get around the island. There is very little traffic and driving on the opposite side of the street was not a difficult adjustment. We used Avis and probably over paid. The location was the best part of the trip. Right on the water we were able to take a morning walk to the waterway. Round trip it was about 1.5 hours. We saw lemon sharks cruising the shore at sunrise, but never during the day while snorkeling the reefs. Our teens loved walking to the floating bar in the waterway. We felt the area to be very safe and didn’t worry about them. We tried the fish fry at Taino beach on Wednesday night. Fun experience! Our teens wanted to stay later for that too, but we didn’t feel good about leaving them there. We will recommend this property to any of our friends heading to Freeport in the future and hope it doesn’t become so popular that we can’t return.

Amazing girls trip!

Every year my long time friend of 50 years take a trip somewhere new. We have traveled all over the world and have visited many Carribean Islands. The people on this island are the most friendly and welcoming thus far! The house is very spacious and in a great safe location which is very important for two 65 yr old women traveling alone. The views everyday from the deck is breathtaking. The communication with the owner and his manager was great! Andrew and his family were so accommodating from beginning to end. We rented a car from Brads and explored the island. There is a restaurant a few minutes walk down the beach called Bahama Bay we went to a few times. Our favorite was the Greek Restaurant at the Port Lucaya Market place. Great Gyros to compare to the ones we had in Greece. Thanks Bruce and Andrew! We look forward to visiting the island again!!!😎

Paradise

This house is amazing. Communication with the Owner was excellent. The Property Manager was very helpful, cooked us meals before we got there and picked up a few items at the grocery store for us. The location was perfect. Just far enough away from all the tourists and close enough to go to the Grocery Store, Shopping and Excursions. The water is beautiful, the location is great and of course we did not want to leave. Just a quick walk down the beach is Banana Bay Restaurant where you can rent a lounge chair for $5 and order drinks and lunch. At low tide a sand bar appears and is awesome to walk out on. You wont be disappointed with this rental. Thanks again….Bruce, Andrew and Pebbles Hope to see you soon. Debbie

The most relaxing vacation ever.

This beautiful home is steps from a quiet beach. The gated community is in an upscale part of the island and is very safe. In fact, this was our first time to Grand Bahama. We have vacationed extensively throughout the Caribbean and Central America, and found the people on Grand Bahama to be friendlier and warmer than most places we’ve visited. The house is well equipped and very comfortable. Beach chairs, beach umbrellas, and towels are provided. Andrew, and his wife and kids, tend to any needs you or the house may require. They do it, also, efficiently and without being intrusive. I can’t say enough nice things about them. The kitchen is nice and meal prep is easy. However, we ate breakfast at the house, then went out for dinner; it’s vacation after all. Many restaurants are nearby. Our favorites are a walk down the beach: Banana Bay is a close walk and the Sand Bar a longer walk past the Wyndham. A car is definitely recommended. We used Brads. It was much cheaper, however we got a 12 year old Chevy Impala. None the less, it was well maintained and we had zero issues, and quite a few laughs about it. I would use them again. Many good restaurants can be found not too far from the house near Lucaya Marketplace. Groceries, gas, and liquor stores are all close by. The owner, Bruce, was nice to work with and helped us with all our questions. Overall, this was a wonderful experience. I understand why Bruce and his wife fell in love with this place. We are already talking about a return trip.

Beautiful house on a stunning beach!

The house is exactly as pictured…the beach is absolutely beautiful and we had it completely to ourselves on most days! Bruce was great to communicate prior to our arrival. The property manager’s daughter met us at the airport, drove us to the rental car place, and then had us follow her to the house. She pointed out grocery and other stores along the way. We met locals at the Fort Lauderdale airport who gave us a list of restaurants which was really helpful. Banana Bay is a short 7 minute walk from the house. The Sand Bar is literally built on the sand and has a great conch sandwich. We enjoyed Stone Crab (great lobster), Pier 1 (they feed the local sharks from the pier at 7,8,9 pm), Cappachinos (great Italian), Agave (Mexican). In the Port Lucaya Market, there is a little conch/seafood stand which was awesome. Be sure to find Terry’s Conch stand in Taino beach has the best conch salad. We did a fishing trip with Lilb fishing and a sunset cruise with Brian out of the Ocean Reef resort Marina. Contact the resort for info. Overall, we just had a very laid back two weeks at this lovely place. Freeport is coming back after the last hurricane and two years of covid. The people are warm and friendly and the views are out of this world. Highly recommended for a peaceful and relaxing vacation!

Remarkable location

This place is perfect if you want to be on the water!! There are 4 groups of coral heads just off the bank in 8ft of water to see all kinds of fish so bring your snorkel and fins!!!! Bring plenty of bug spray for the biting gnats as well. House was perfect. Thanks Bruce and Andrew!!

We rented this property in March 2008 and found it so perfect that we bought it a few months later. We love the property, it's location and the beautiful island of Grand bahama. We enjoy the wonderful feeling of relaxation and security.

Although only 30 minutes flight from Miami or Fort Lauderdale Grand Bahama feels like a different world. The pace of life is relaxed and you can feel the stress falling away from you as soon as you arrive. Every time we arrive at the villa and step out onto the deck we still go 'wow' at the spectacular view of the turquoise view of the ocean, just steps away.
