This was a wonderful place to stay for our family. I wanted a home base for a night while we ran around Lancaster and went to Sight and Sound. This was perfect, with several rooms for each of the kids and the few toys and games etc it was a very family friendly place to stay. The hosts were very wonderful with communication and allowing us an early check in and a late check out. I am hoping to stay here again in the near future.

This home is in a very good location to visit all of Lancaster. You have a perfect view of sunset and sunset! Lots of Omish buggy’s passing by.

Our stay was absolutely perfect! The property was clean, the kitchen and bathroom were well equipped, and the setting was so peaceful. Communication with our host was excellent. We especially appreciated his kind gifts of pie and fresh strawberries. It was hard to leave on the last day and we’d definitely stay here again.

I have rented many houses for vacations and Daniel is by far the most gracious host I have encountered. We were greeted with shoo fly pie ,farm fresh eggs,cheese and woopie pies.Check in and check out was easy. He stopped by to greet us and when his daughter came by to check on her flowers , she had a wonderful kind conversation with my mother. The house was decorated beautifully, the beds were so comfortable with soft sheets and fluffy pillows. I can not say enough about the location and the view! The picture does not do it justice. The sunrise is glorious and I'm going to have a print made of it. Farmland in the background. Simply amazing. This is the heart of Amish country. We are already thinking of another trip this Spring. I was able to bring my dog and there were even extra dog bowls available. There were plenty of toys that my niece enjoyed playing with . She loved it!! Can't wait to return. We had a WONDERFUL time.

Paradise Cottage was the perfect stay for us three older ladies while we were in Lancaster. We chose it because of it’s accessibility for one of us with mobility issues and we would come again in a heartbeat. It was comfortable and homey and peaceful (loved hearing the many horse and buggies going down the road). And it was near enough to many of the things we wanted to do and yet far enough away to enjoy a very scenic drive back. We came to see the Sight and Sound production of “Joshua” but also enjoyed eating dinner and breakfast at Hometown Kitchen just minutes away from the cottage and shopping at Fisher’s housewares nearby.We appreciated the local cookies, sourdough bread and the eggs that the host left for us. We did not do a lot of cooking, but the kitchen seemed well equipped. We had one small problem which Daniel and his daughter promptly took care of. They stayed for a lovely chat about many things, answering many of our questions about the area and the people and that was a highlight of our trip!

We had an excellent stay. Daniel was very responsive and friendly. He were greeted with 2 dozen eggs, cheese and some homemade goodies. The house was very clean and just as described. Our party consisted of 3 adult couples and we were very comfortable with the accommodations. The views were spectacular, we had an excellent time. I would highly recommend this property and the host family!

The home was so inviting from the moment we walked in the door. The house was clean and well stocked. Beds were comfy. We took our lil dog who loved walking around the yard. Horse and Buggies go by throughout the day, it was all just very quaint.

The house was perfect for our 3 older ladies. We enjoyed our stay. The hosts were very accommodating. Location worked great for us and we enjoyed looking out the window and see the horse and buggys go by. We would definitely stay here again.

Paradise Cottage felt like a home away from home for my husband and our pups. The owner Daniel met us right after we arrived and made sure we knew he would be available should we have questions or needed anything (which the only thing we needed was soap, and found homemade soap (for a small fee) available in a well stocked linen closet behind the bathroom door).Upon entering the kitchen/dining area, we were greeted each morning overlooking the farm and rolling hills along with a magnificent sunrise and rooster crow! The property is beautiful behind the house! We were very comfortable with the bedroom we chose as we had a choice of 3 different beds and went with the back bedroom. The mattress was VERY comfortable, and is another reason why this felt like home to us. The garage was decorated a bit and was home base for our elderly dogs. They did amazingly well, which I was more than happy about! While resting in the cozy living room each evening, we watched horses and buggies go by.. what a BONUS to our stay! We also enjoyed the home-baked breads, pie , cheese and eggs left for us in fridge! What a treat! The house is located near a small village with a local Amish home decor store, health market and Amish restaurant, Hometown Kitchen. We visited all three (3)!! But also highly recommend Michael’s Homestyle Breads down the road! I do want to also mention the shower-head is nice… we had no issues with temperature. It was super and we can’t wait to visit again!

Quaint Getaway in Lancaster

My friend and I booked a weekend trip to relax and go to the Turkey Hill Experience. House was clean and cute. Close enough to restaurants and shops. We enjoyed our stay. Would recommend for families or small groups that want simple, clean, accommodations, close to Lancaster attractions and Amish country.

Had a terrific stay at the house. Was a great location among the farms. Great view from the back deck. The only issue we had was the wi-fi connection. If I didn't need it for some work I had to do, it would not have been a problem. Overall, I would recommend the property to family and friends.

Great place to stay

This was our second time we stayed here. It was myself and my daughter. The house was cozy, clean, and comfortable. They provide you with everything you need. Quiet neighborhood and good location. Not far from local restaurants and attractions. You can watch the buggies go by from the front. Will be back again! Thank you Daniel and Elizabeth for everything!

Shopping areas were not far at all. No issues with the pet areas. Perfect place to really get to see all the Amish people and the horses and buggies. We got to see the Amish working in the corn fields. One of the best things was getting to meet a couple of the owners. They were very nice and friendly and helpful. They were very informative. They had lots of goodies waiting in the fridge for us. One of my absolute favorites, ( OATMEAL/RAISIN ) cookies!!!! Oh boy they were delicious!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND this home and family!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A place to Relax

This lovely cottage provides everything you need to sit back and relax and enjoy all the nature surrounding the cottage. Personal favourite is sitting on the back porch and watching the fire flies glow at night. During the day, the little calf across the road loved any attention it could get. Inside the cottage, the beds are comfortable; the kitchen has everything we needed and then some... (thankyou for the fresh berries, the double yolk eggs. Amazing!) It's location is close to everything we wanted to see and do. Thank you for letting us stay at Paradise Cottage.

Choose this paradise for your stay

We were a little on the fence about staying so far away from Lancaster, but having this paradise as our home base made it definitely worth it. The home was spacious, cozy and filled with everything under the sun that you may need during your stay. You get to see the horse and buggies go right by the front window and the vast field in the back is nice to just stare out at the farms. Full size crib and toys were a major bonus for our baby. Beds were comfortable and there are plenty of extra blankets. It allows you to drive through the beautiful scenery to get to where you are going and see cows, buggies, and all kinds of interesting sights. Crossroads Cafe was about 4 minutes away and great for breakfast as well as a small grocery store attached.its right next to the road but the road noise did not affect us at all, just the clip clip of the horses hoofs.
