Welcome to the Country Nest, the ideal vacation home from which to enjoy all that Lancaster County, Pennsylvania has to offer, including nearby Bird-in-Hand, Strasburg, New Holland, Sight and Sound, the Outlets, Dutch Wonderland, Spooky Nook Sports, downtown Lancaster and more! Set in the idyllic town of Intercourse, this warm, spacious vacation rental has plenty of room for large groups and families. Find the freedom and space you need to make your get-away a great one.
You'll find all the comforts of home at the Country Nest! The fully-equipped kitchen is perfect for cooking a meal for the whole family. Complimentary coffee and tea are provided. There is a sitting room right inside the door, as well as a large living room to fit the whole group, equipped with a large TV (Netflix included )Games and puzzles are provided for a relaxing night in. The front porch is a great place to relax with a cup of joe and watch horse-and-buggies trot by. The small, private backyard allows space for outside activities, fire pit and gas grill available for use.

We had an issue with the smoke detectors but the host was prompt in taking care of the issue. The yard was not very well kept and needed mowing and weeding. Lots of traffic noise but overall the house was a good fit for the six of us. The location is excellent. We enjoyed our stay. The host was great to sell us eggs and even scheduled us a dinner with an Amish family. I would recommend this house

Very pleasant stay with easy access to many attractions, shops, restaurants, etc…The “Nest” was very clean and comfortable for our family stay, and the kitchen well equipped. The ambience was calm and restful, and the decor integrated and inspiring. We would definitely return.

This as our second year and planning the next at the Nest. We love this residence that is so well located for us. It is immaculate, welcoming, and offers so many amenities. The beds are very comfortable, and the large living room has great seating for all of us to be in at one time. There are shelves of games and activities for all ages. For those who like it, there is a fire pit outside with many chairs, and a huge barbecue grill. The kitchen has a flat top electric stove, dishwasher, and is fully equipped. We found a crockpot is available! The washer and dryer are commercial quality. Our 4 generation family looks forward to this annual weekend. The Nest's host is gracious, and has made this home a true comfort in every way. We give the Nest 5 stars for everything.

The house itself is comfortable, but it needs a deep cleaning from top to bottom. There were some very dirty areas; specifically, the conventional oven and the grill had burnt meat stuck to them. The grill was filthy, both inside and out. The balcony at the main entrance was extremely dirty, so I didn't feel comfortable sitting outside to enjoy the weather. The sheets in the upstairs bedroom were covered in hair—it looked like cat hair. In the bathroom next to the laundry room, a centipede appeared—the kind that shows up in very damp areas. We also found a black pill on the sofa near the coffee table; none of us had brought any pills, yet I found one there. Thank goodness I found it, preventing a potential accident involving my grandson. If they fixed these issues, it would be a great house. Given the price, the condition I found it in really wasn't worth it.

I’m sorry you had a bad experience, 1 star review is extremely harsh tough. You left a nice note inside the house and never complained about anything after check in for a 4 night stay. If the place was that filthy you should have contact us right after you guys check in. We clean the house ourselves in between guest and followed vrbo protocols, our reviews can show for it. We even change the air filters in between pets stays so the fact that you said the sheets were covered with cat hair don’t make any sense, and if I find that on a rental I will instantly call the owner. During your stay we had a huge storms around the area so having the centipede inside would make total sense for that time.

Host was very responsive. Location is great.House was well stocked. We had a wonderful time. Living room furniture was new and comfy, The only complaint would be that some of the towels and cloths were washed but still had stains.

This property was perfect for our family which included grandparents, parents and teenage grandchildren! Having three bathrooms was a real bonus. The house is clean, cozy and has enough room for all of us. The host is over the top in responding to questions and the details she put into her home. Location is great and it is dog friendly!
