I was looking for a place close enough to the city (Minneapolis) where it wasn't a long drive, but far enough that I felt like I was getting away. I just wanted a chill couple of days to sit by some water and relax with my dog, and Margaret's adorable little camper fit the bill perfectly! She met me there, made sure I knew where everything was and had everything I needed, and then let me be. Definitely looking forward to staying here again!

We were the first people to stay here and it was very peaceful - we were blessed with great weather so spent an entire day enjoying the lake and our own private bonfire at night! If you are okay with glamorous camping and enjoy historic touches then this place is a must! The owner is very friendly and communicates well once you reserve your time.
We had a wonderful stay in the vintage campus. The attention to detail was so fun! I even wore a vintage apron while grilling! There is electricity in the camper. The host had a large dispenser of cold and hot water for us. There is a fridge and microwave in a covered shelf next to the camper. My daughter and I enjoyed the paddle boat, a campfire and board games. We went into town for coffee and pastries and to Lake Cafe for a small own lunch. We grilled dinner on the charcoal grill. I would say the camper sleeps 2 adults and 1 child. I was very nostalgic and the lake pace is so peaceful!

This place is fab. 1962 caravan decorated with MCM Adorableness.
Margaret is an exceptional host. Very inviting, friendly, accommodating and exceedingly helpful. The caravan is darling and we enjoyed ourselves very much. Firewood was available upon request for a very reasonable fee. Clean, charming and stocked with more than you would ever need.

Vintage camper
Our stay would have been more enjoyable if we would have been able to use the lake. Vintage is accurate description right down to the dust mites in the bed,I have a bad allergy to them and ended up in Urgent care Sunday of our stay to get treatment. It was quiet and relaxing would like to rent again but do to my allergy to camper will be unable to
My daughter (10 years old) and I stayed at the camper in July. I can’t express enough what a pleasant setting the camper, property and lake provided. It was our little oasis that was unique and told a story in all the little details Margret put together. Margret also had supplied above and beyond what you would except, from cooking utensils, lake floaties, board games and firewood. A vintage camper that laid the perfect foundation for new memories and fun. We will definitely be back again!

It was such a pleasure having you! Your daughter (and you!) were such a joy! Hope you'll treat us to a visit next year.
Booking the listing was a breeze. I was very surprised there was availability as my vacation plans were a bit last minute. From the listing it seemed at first to be a bit sketchy as I am not familiar with online bookings and given the info I just wasn't sure. The photos were not as detailed as I like, but I got the idea of it. it looked super retro and totally my jam and so I figured why not just give it a try. Well...I am so glad I did! What a fun little set up. The vintage touch is spot on and brought memories of times of the past. The trailer was well organized, clean and had everything I needed. Margaret was on site upon arrival and was a very good host. She showed us all the operations and it's quirks. With anything vintage it has its own set of quirkiness. This property hosted a very nice space for food prep, food waste, and dish washing. Small refrigerator on site with a microwave however being so close to town it wasn't used much. The outdoor table burner stove worked for most of our food prep needs. Plenty of games and outdoor play toys. The paddle boat was by far my favorite touch. The water is mere feet from the door. As far as bathroom needs there is a biff on site and not far at all from the camper. It was well maintained and stocked with toilet paper. The camper stayed nice and cool with good air flow and most of all stayed dry during a crazy storm that passed through.Overall very pleased with my stay and will definitely return in the future! Thank you Margaret
