We loved the property. Had 5 kids under 13 and they had a great time. We generally cook for the crew and the kitchen was one of the better properties we have stayed at, had good variety of pots, silverware, etc. Communication was great with the host as well.

We booked this property because we love the Pirates Beach area of Galveston and the bedroom set up worked perfectly for our 3 generation family of 10. The close proximity to the beach was a big plus and the view of the Gulf was great. The house was well stocked with paper necessities and the kitchen was great as we fixed all our own meals.

This house was a quick walk to beach, had tons of beach towels available, had an excellent coffee bar set up, and had a nicely stocked kitchen with most essentials. Our stay was comfortable and would have loved it more if the outdoor chairs & seating area on the balcony were cleaner & in better condition. One of the 4 beach chairs on the balcony was broken and the other 3 were rickety and felt unsafe so we unfortunately didn’t get to enjoy as we hoped. Nice seating area around the fire pit. Gas grill required deep cleaning as it was caked with grease. For the price paid, I had greater expectations so overall I give this rental a 3 out of 5 due to location & coffee bar!

We apologize for the deck chairs and have replaced it with brand new ones. As for the grill, each guest is required to clean the grill after use. We did check the grill yesterday and scrubbed it cleaned too.

We’ve stayed at multiple homes at Pirates Beach, and must say this has been one of our favorites. It’s a great home if you’re traveling with kids. The outdoor playground and fenced-in backyard were great and the house was lovely.

Great Beach House in Pirates Beach

Really enjoyed our stay at this property, everything as listed, nicely updated house with great outdoor space for cooking and chilling, very well equipped kitchen, everything very clean. Pirates Beach is the best place to stay at in Galveston!

Nice quiet beach getaway

Or family had a wonderful time at this beach house! It was so pretty and had enough room for our family. The neighborhood was nice, quiet and safe. We enjoyed the quick walk right to the beach. Driving to town took about 10 mins which wasn’t bad. The host responded quickly to my messages and was very polite. We would definitely stay here again!

Family Beach Trip!

Completely enjoyed our stay at Sea La Vie! The kitchen was well stocked, storage space for all of our food and belongings was ample. We spent a lot of time in the backyard playing corn hole and also sitting on the front porch drinking morning coffee and the evenings staring at the beach. The owner was very accommodating to any questions we had. Will definitely rent this house again!

Summer Family Vacation

Our family had a wonderful time at this property. We had 10 family members total from age 7 to 75 and it truly fit all of our needs. The large couch in the living room was perfect for all of us to hang out together. The kids bunk room and play room were great for the kids. And we all loved hanging out on the patio drinking coffee in the morning. The neighborhood was lovely and proximity to the beach was perfect! The host was very quick at responding to any questions we had. Would absolutely stay here again!

We have stayed at Pirate's Beach for the past 20 years so we are familiar with renting in the area and the prices one pays to stay there. I had high hopes from the pictures of this house and how luxurious it would feel- it was the most per night we have ever paid for a house at Pirate's Beach. There were several things that occurred that was out of the control of the owner of the home- the fridge had gone out and the electricity was out for 8 hours at night due to the Tropical Storm that had passed through. There was a fridge outside downstairs that was offered to us and a cooler that we could provide ice for if we wanted. Seeing as we planned to cook every meal at the house, one could see the inconvenience of this. We got over our initial frustration of the first night in a home that got up to 82 degrees without electricity, but the one thing we have never encountered in all of our rental homes was that the owner controlled the thermostat via a Nest. The thermostat was defaulted to 76 and it was warm, especially in the master upstairs, so every time the program reset, we would have to text to get it brought down to a comfortable 72. We could get over all of the other inconveniences of our particular stay except for that one. The location was great, the bathtub was fantastic, and while the pics did make the house look bigger than it was, there was plenty of space for our 8 people. Most of the outdoor furniture was looking worn by the harsh elements of Galveston.

When mother nature strikes, there's nothing we could do. I even messaged you earlier if you wanted to shift your dates free of charge due to storms. But we never heard from you. The entire island of Galveston lost the power. Secondly, the compressor died out of no where in brand new fridge. We tried our best to get it fixed ASAP but given the storms and short duration, we were thankful there was atleast a spare fridge. The thermostat is Nest. Many guests know how to use it. And I was adjusting from my app too. Outdoor furniture is brand new. I cannot keep replacing them when they look worn out due to beachy air.

Family Get Together

We had our 3 children, their spouses, and our 2 grandchildren. The house was so well stocked with kitchen supplies and beach items. The outdoor shower and shaded carport were delightful. It was easy and short walk to the beach.

Great weekend stay

We stayed over the memorial day weekend. The house was perfect for the 10 of us. Everything we needed for a great stay. The host was kind enough to allow us to use sand toys, tent, boogie boards. Huge covered patio downstairs was great for hanging out. The deck upstairs was also great for people watching and enjoying the view and breeze . The location of the house was great as well, just a short walk or golf cart ride to the beach. Neighborhood was lovely. Lots of families enjoying the beach. The house itself was very clean, great layout, all the necessities, overall very pleasant. We will Be back!

Amazing home! Amazing location!

Leave all the stress behind! This house had EVERYthing! It was stocked like home, if you needed something it was there! Very clean, comfortable, just felt like home away from home! Close to stores and restaurants. Quick drive to downtown fun but far enough for relaxation and peace. Cute and quiet neighborhood. Quick walk to the beach. The fenced in back yard was amazing for our pup! Fire was fun to sit around in the evenings. Loved sitting on the porch with coffee/cocktails looking at the ocean! We will be back soon!!

FABULOUS VACA BEACH HOUSE!!!

This house is THE beach house for comfort, space, and location, location, location! Arpita and Vijay were so welcoming and have thought of everything to relieve the stress of overpacking to travel and enjoy the beach! The house is situated perfectly at the end of just one of the cul-de-sacs in Pirates Beach, which is a very quiet and very safe little neighborhood, with a lovely view of the ocean from 2 separate balconies. Every space had the comfort of home - the large living area with huge sectional seating, the bedrooms designed for everyone to have their own "living quarters" with private bath in each, the playroom for the kids including books and games and a video game unit, as well as the kitchen and dining area where we prepped, cooked, and shared many meals together with ample room for 9! We spent a full non-beach day downstairs on the porch area coloring at the picnic tables, grilling, sitting on the swing, and letting the kids play in the yard on the great playset. The house is only 5 minutes from our favorite restaurant, Waterman's, as well as other great spots to eat and mini marts to grab quick grocery items. It's a quick 10-minute drive to Pleasure Pier for a fun day of rides, games, and ice-cream. Kroger, Wal-Mart, and Target are between 5 and 10 minutes away. We were completely impressed and satisfied with our accommodations and hope to return!!
