Peaceful location

We loved our stay here! It was very peaceful and so convenient to be able to walk over the Cambridge and eat at their restaurants. We were also able to rent a boat right out our front door. Loved this quaint cottage and the private beach.

Great house tucked away in a quiet area. 5 minute walk to a main bus line. Adjacent to a resort, so meals are nearby if needed. Very quiet area at night. The beach is technically across the street from tje house, but it was not a problem at all. Swimming area was like having your own secluded beach. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

This Cottage was absolutely perfect! Plenty of quiet space with an ama view, close to the bus, grocery and beaches. Communication with the host was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Our stay was for a wedding at the Cambridge Resort, this location was excellent for us to stay and still participate in all the wedding functions with ease. The location allowed us to use the H2O rental facility for sailing and motor boating rentals which allowed us all the water sports activities. Sandy's is a lovely part of the Island and we found travel was simple and very accessible from this location. We used the ferry, bus and taxi systems to access the whole island. Quiet end of the street location, dock & beach access just steps away. Market and food locations within walking distance. This felt like a cottage stay at a distant family relatives house, comfortable and pleasant. This was our first visit to Bermuda and thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience.

It's all about the view

Sitting in front of the house looking at the bay was spectacular. For us the location is perfect: easy to rent a scooter, easy to rent a boat and an easy walk to the bus stop and the Marketplace.

Wonderful Stay in a Bermudaful Place!

The VRBO was great, the property was just as shown in pics. The house has some history to it, which was cool. Having our own mini private beach was awesome, as well as being able to sit out in the front and watch the water. The hosts were great, very nice and helpful! It's a ways away from the main part of the island, but is very private and the large yard for relaxing was awesome! Plus, it just gave us an excuse to get to know the entire island better, rather than one area. Would recommend this place to others!

This is my husbands & my 3rd time staying at Felicity. We brought some friends with us this time & they kept raving about how much they loved the property. Me my husband my great granddaughter (4yrs) and my son his fiancé her mom and sister …. Just let me tell you we had a blast the house property around it and that beautiful beach was absolutely perfect we had plenty of space for us all…. We all would defiantly return with pleasure.

Another great stay!

I returned to this cottage because I loved the old time charm. This time with 2 girl friends. The area is local and quiet . The bus stop is close by. There was a problem with the internet and cable for a few days but this was fixed by the company. The owner was an excellent communicator. Wonderful stay

Perfect for families

We stayed with our children and grandchildren. Perfect location! Classic Bermuda Cottage. Clean. AC worked in all rooms. Private beach was wonderful for evening swimming. Bring water shoes as there is some glass like many of the Bermuda beaches. Walking or scooter distant to grocery. We had several meals at the restaurants at Cambridge Beaches. Yard was delightful. Enjoyed our stay!

Relaxing Atmosphere

Cottage was as described accurately in listing. Ocean view and beach access. We swam/snorkeled off beach. Friendly helpful neighborhood. Taxi and bus drivers were helpful. We enjoyed the restaurants, beaches, dockyard and national parks despite an atypical rainy period of several days. We could walk or swim during the dry parts of each day.

Wee stay at Felicity!

We had the best week at Felicity! Our family of 5 stayed, and it was wonderful. Perfect location right next to Cambridge Beaches, and with it's own small private beach. Our kids spent hours swimming off the beach- and our 6 year old especially loved searching for bottles under the water! The house is a short walk to Post Office, Bus Stop and Pharmacy. Donna was extremely helpful, with a quick response when we needed her for something. The house was quaint and had old Bermuda charm. We hope to come back and stay in Felicity again!

Yes, the property is older, so if you are picky about that sort of thing, don’t go for it. Beach is small but great for a dunk. The cottage had plenty of space for 4 adults and our two daughters: 16 and 20. We used bus transportation and taxis. The nearest market for supplies is a 10-15 minute walk. Very doable. We enjoyed our stay and we’re pleased with these accommodations:)

Delightful Cottage!

The cottage was perfect! It accommodated two couples, each with their own private bedroom with king sized beds and bathroom; and there was still a room with twin beds available! Washer/dryer, stove/oven and a refrigerator! The private beach was delightful! The beach chairs and the floats were unexpected and very much appreciated. Access to Cambridge Beaches for renting Twizzys was so convenient! Air conditioning and portable fans worked great. We enjoyed walking on the soft Bermuda grass in the side garden, listening to the tree frogs, and eating breakfast at the table in the front yard under the umbrella with views of the bay. Donna was very responsive to our questions; we couldn't get the internet to work, but honestly, we were too busy playing on the island, we didn't really miss it! We will definitely return to this cottage!

A Great Place for the Perfect Stay (if you have a scooter)

We loved this cottage! I definitely want to come back. There are 3 bedrooms (not 2 as listed), and 2 bathrooms. There are numerous air conditioners, so you can control the temperature throughout this very large cottage. There is a living room, a sitting room, dining room and kitchen, plus a private courtyard with rising hose and outdoor (cold water) shower that also serves as a great place to hide a couple of scooters. The courtyard also has a charcoal grill and outdoor fireplace for cold-season use. The backyard has a table and chairs, and so does the front yard. The street entrance is only steps from the H2O Watersports dock, where you can rent small power boats, Sunfish and large Hobie Cat sailboats, kayaks, and stand-up-paddleboards. Just up the hill is the Cambridge Beaches Resort, with elegant dining, casual beachfront dining, and a scooter rental location. If you are leery about using a scooter, you can get a 2-person electric car there as well. Bermudians drive on the left, of course, so if you are not capable or confident of driving yourself, this location may be too far away from things for you. If you can handle the transportation challenge, this cottage is in the middle of everything. The owners provide plenty of big, fluffy towels, comfortable sheets, maps, and guide books. What a find! About 10 minutes walk to pizza and casual breakfast place in Somerset Village.

Lovely location

Many pros and a few cons. We truly ended up.loving this home and its old world charm. The grounds were large and very private. There were plenty of beach towels, blankets and even some extras left from previous tenants. We loved having our own private beach area where we floated on rafts we brought with us, sat in sun and snorkeled daily. We walked to the grocery and to another nearby beach called Longbay. The hard part was getting a taxi to come and pick us up. It seemed since we were down in the Somerset area there weren't as many readily available? Also the cost of groceries was very high. We liked being right next to h20 water sports so that we could just walk over when we rented a boat but quite a few of other activities were 40 min. away. Another thing that is hard to get used to in Bermuda was that there is air conditioning only in sleeping areas. We were thankful for the easy open crank windows and the floor fan provided. That being said it is part of their culture and we chose to forego a resort this time around. The owner was always there to answer questions and the views from the home were amazing!!

Old School Bermuda Cottage Next to Cambridge Beaches

Felicity Cottage was a great spot to spend a 4-day long wedding weekend that was held at the Cambridge Beaches resort. It was literally right next door to the resort and we could walk back and forth and that was perfect. I have been visiting Bermuda for many years and have stayed in many homes with friends over the years so I was prepared to adapt to this one. The house itself is a very old home with quaint/quirky charm. It has a very odd layout. There are 3 bedrooms, the master bedroom has an attached bath. The other 2 bedrooms share a bath (with a vintage tiny tub/shower) and you have to go through the bathroom to get to the 3rd bedroom. The front door access is challenging. Everything was very clean and the basic house supplies are available. Air conditioning worked fine. Do stop at the local market on your way from the airport to get coffee, tissues, and other essentials. If you need a modern, freshly updated rental with stylish appointments and top-quality bedding, this is not the house for you. Very basic. Beautiful, large lot. Private beach next to the public dock. Great location if you want to be near Cambridge Beaches; since you are at the very end of the island, transportation back to the rest of the island's attractions is more challenging. Our host, Donna, was very available and helpful and I enjoyed talking with her.

GREAT location, attentive property owner, disappointing experience

The property owner, Donna, was attentive to our issues and upon our return nearly made it right. The air quality in the house was not healthy for our daughter-in-law who has asthma. The mold, mildew & must were overwhelming despite 3 old, loud air conditioners on high. There was mold behind the headboards, in the closets and around the carpeting. We were told the day before our arrival that the washing machine was not working. But, we did not expect the previous renter's dirty linens to be piled up in the clean linen closet. We expected the washing machine to be fixed during our stay, so we were not heading home with dirty, wet, sandy clothes. Unfortunately, that did not happen. In addition, the dishwasher did not work so we had to hand wash our dishes during our visit. To top it off, even the outside shower did not work. Clearly the property has an issue with ants/bugs/critters and does not appear to have a service in place to address this issue. There were ant traps (new and used) all over. Within our first night, the ants got into our crackers and rice. There was also an infestation of bugs on an open bag of dog treats in a bottom kitchen cabinet. We were not at all comfortable cooking in the kitchen. Lastly, it would have been nice to have an unopened bar of soap or pump soap in the kitchen and bathrooms so we could have washed our hands after a long day of travel. Also, there was not a kitchen towel or roll of paper towels to be found. We will NOT return.

In responce I emailed the guest that the washing machine was broken before they arrived and I was working hard with my appliance guy to get it fixed. That did not happen until after they left. In all our correspondence which was 5 or so emails nothing was mentioned about the other issues until they returned home and asked for a full refund or else they would give us a bad review. The total refund was sent a month ago. I have had 4 rentals since then and all our guests have been happy. My husband and respond to every issue, if there is one. We want our guests to have a good time

A week with friends

This property is in an amazing location, with it’s own private beach However, would we go back? The cottage sleeps 6 but there is only 1 lounger and 1 beach chair- it wouldn’t take a lot to rectify this and would add infinitely to the enjoyment of relaxing on the beach or in the garden. There was no mention of how to access the wifi- the hosts responded within 24hours and were lovely but why isn’t this in the information pack? The information book was hard to find and the least informative we have come across. There was no soap/ washing up liquid or cloths which we have always been provided with previously. The details mention the property is dated but it was too cluttered with personal belongings and it was dirty ( each room had at least 3 ant bait plastic traps - surely pick up old ones and replace with new ones regularly rather than adding to the clutter. We had a dead cockroach in bedroom on arrival and cobwebs. The fridge door was full of condiments/ salad dressings and the freezer full of coffee and frozen chips. It is lovely to find salt/ pepper/oil and a few spices but there was no room for our groceries and we had to date check everything. There were cobwebs on cooking equipment everything had to be washed - the pans were not non stick- the random collection of glasses and crockery added to the feeling of clutter. The only cupboard to put groceries in had dog food , rice, pasta and more clutter- most already opened. Then there’s the layout of the cottage- There are 3 double bed rooms- but to access the 2nd room you need to go through the family bathroom - shared by the twin and double. Possibly making the twin room the double room when 2 couples stay would have been better. A deep clean , a lick of paint and another lounger and beach chair would have made the world of difference. It is a great cottage in a fab location but needs some tlc At the airport we met a couple who stayed at Felicity in 1985 and they said it was dated then and in need of a little attention.
