In about 1 km away is the small mountain village of Marciana, it is 375 m u. d. M., making it the highest village on the island of Elba.

Definitely make a tour of this small idyllic place, you can only walk here, narrow, often very steep streets, flower-decorated little houses and at the top a second Ristorante, "Il Noce" with panoramic terrace. A cable car is very close to the holiday house (here is your meeting place on the day of arrival), you can drive to the "Monte Capanne", here at 1019 m altitude you have a spectacular view of the island and the surrounding island world Pianosa, Capraia, Montecristo to Sardinia and Corsica.
For shopping you drive to Marciana Marina (a few minutes drive) here are many shops, 2 small supermarkets and numerous pretty boutiques.
