Stan was a great host. He was there during our stay. We enjoyed talking with him. The house was perfect for my family. Very clean and had what we needed. I definitely recommend this house for a stay .

The house was exactly as pictured on the VRBO site. Clean. Host was very accommodating, answered questions via email in a timely manner. Highly recommend this property.

The house was very clean on a beautiful property located only a short distance from Milford lake. Everything went smooth from booking to checking in and checking out. My wife and I would definitely stay here again. Thank you very much!

KSU Graduation

Family came in for KSU graduation. The house was a great way to let us be together as a family that we wouldn't have been able to do in a hotel. Neighbors are delightful. Purple Martins are a highlight.

The property is exactly as described! It is a nice quiet place to be able to step away and relax! It is still close enought to amenities if we need them, which was great! Definitely recommend this place. The owner is extremely kind and helpful. He answered all my questions quickly and respectfully.

Too much interaction with host

My friends and I use VRBO because the host does not stay when we stay. Generally interactions are through messaging in the app. I received a message 2 months prior to our stay asking if the host could stay on site while we were there. I replied that generally the reason we go with VRBO is that we stay alone. We are a group of 4 older friends who are vendors at events. We are quiet clean people and we spend most of our stays together at our events. We come back to the property to socialize and then rest. He said he then had somewhere else to stay during that time and he would not intrude on our privacy. He then messaged 3 days before, providing entrance information. The day of, he messaged that he doesn't provide coffee, then messaged to request that I let him know when we would arrive. I gave him the time, and he replied that he "would be around." He was there when we arrived, walked us through the house on the "grand tour" then proceeded to let us know he would be staying across the highway (less than a quarter mile away) and that he would be working in his workshop on the property on Saturday. He also was there when we left. We are used to VRBO stays where we never see anyone but the friends we're staying with. The house wasn't as clean as we usually see. Dirty sock in the upstairs bath and hair in the downstairs sink. Something sticky on the floor downstairs and drip marks on the cabinets under coffee maker. He was nice enough, but not what we wanted while using VRBO.

Awesome vacation & reunion in a winter Wonderland

The property is amazing, spacious inside, and a perfect space for spending time & not feeling like you're in someone's space. Especially since our time was indoors because of winter storm Blair. We did enjoy building a snowman. Stan was an excellent host & Lovena was delightful and went above and beyond anything I could've imagined. We will definitely make it back, probably spring of '26. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality.

Quick Trip

Stayed for a short weekend fishing trip with some buddies. House is close to two ramps on the lake and has all the amenities we needed. Really enjoyed the ease of booking the house and whole stay

Nice location and nice room setup

The kitchen was well appointed, plenty to cook and serve 7 people. The location was nice as we were visiting Abilene and having time at Lake Milford. The grill was too small for our family of 7. Laundry setup was great.

Great weekend getaway

We had a great stay near Milford Lake. Clean and cozy accommodations. Quick response from hosts on any questions or for any needs (they restocked dishwasher tabs promptly when we ran out). We had a family gathering and this residence had a nice outdoor gathering area and plenty of room in the kitchen and downstairs. We would gladly stay again!

I am an outdoors person who loves hunting, fishing, hiking, and other outdoor activities. I grew up in a small town in Idaho and currently live full time in Alaska. I visit my property two to three times a year to make improvements and take advantage of hunting and fishing opportunities Kansas has to offer.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

I purchased 130 acres of land adjacent to the house in 2020 and purchased the house in 2021. The land is for hunting and my general enjoyment, plus it provides a modest return on investment from crops. The house provides a place for me to stay and opportunities to keep busy making improvements.
