Welcome to farmhouse serenity at 270 Winchester Lane, the perfect city respite!

Situated outside of the small town of Bogard, the isolated cabin farmhouse offers a rural feel to guests with endless greens in sight and a chance to spot some wildlife. Popular species found on the farm include deer, turkey, coyotes, racoons, foxes, and squirrels. We also have a huge pond whose population include bass, crappie and catfish.

Savor country living at this farmhouse that comes with 2 bedrooms, living area, fully equipped and stocked kitchen, dining area, washer, dryer, dishwasher and smart TV's with easy access to Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu and more with our high speed internet.

Bedrooms come with linen, and both have closets. Master bedroom has a queen size bed; second bedroom is furnished with a bunk bed whose base bed is a sleeper sofa. Also included is a roll-away single size bed in the closet. Kitchen is spacious with an open plan space that links kitchen, living and dining area. There is a dining area for 4 and living area provides seating and entertainment.

• Property is on a septic tank. Please only flush toilet paper and nothing else.

• Nature = wild animals. Some find this awesome; others find it a little scary. Be aware that there are coyotes and raccoons in this area. They are pretty timid and never stick around long when they hear people or dogs. Never leave food or garbage outside as it is sure to attract wildlife (racoons and coyotes, and…). Also common are foxes, deer and turkeys. Use common sense and you’ll be able to enjoy the sights & sounds of 270 Winchester Lane.

• Parking is available for multiple vehicles in the graveled areas of the property as well as covered parking in the adjacent shed during inclement weather.

Weekend trip

The home was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The pond was amazing, we did not use the fire pit but it looked great. This is an amazing spot for people who like to be outside weather that be fishing or just sitting around the table chatting. We couldn’t have picked a better house or hosts for our trip. We absolutely loved our stay.

Beautiful Quiet Home

We stayed in this home so that my sister could attend her 65th High School Class Reunion. The property is stunning and the home just sends out welcoming arms once you enter it. We opted not to use the grill or the fire pit but it is nice that those options were available. The pond is gorgeous. We did not try out our fishing luck this trip but, it was great to see the poles were ready to be used, if we had wanted to try. Thank you, Yancy for the great communication. We had a wonderful weekend!

Beautiful cottage in peaceful setting! Great escape from the hustle and bustle! Plenty of fishing!!

Such a great escape!! This cottage is set in the perfect location, not too far from town, but far enough that you feel like you are in your own world! Whether you are looking to relax away from all the hustle and bustle of everyday life, or you want to throw a line in the well stocked pond, this place is perfect! From the newly updated cottage with comfortable beds and everything you need to feel at home, including fast wifi, to the property itself, this place is stunning! Surrounded by hay fields and an amazing pond located just 100 yards from the cottage, we caught fish almost every cast! Plenty of wildlife to be seen while relaxing on the deck out back, overlooking the pond, and surprisingly not many bugs! Yancy was very attentive and made sure we were comfortable and our needs were met, both before and after we checked in. Definitely one of the best places we have stayed in quite awhile! Great way to decompress and spend some one-on-one time with each other to celebrate our anniversay.

Quiet get away

The cabin was perfectly clean with comfortable furniture and modern appliances. We enjoyed walking, listening to the coyotes at dusk, fishing in the pond and relaxing. We made a day trip to Hamilton, Mo or Quilt City, USA (about a 40 minute drive).

The house was modern and very clean and comfortable. It is very private. We enjoyed fishing in the large pond, watching beautiful sunsets and the fire pit. They provided everything we needed, including the fixings for S'mores and the firewood. The host was easy to communicate with. We will be back!
