In the the well-known German ski resort Garmisch-Partenkirchen, the Katharinenhof holiday apartments are located in a pretty house with large lattice windows and a breathtaking view of the mountains.



The 65 m² holiday apartment "Hausberg" can accommodate 5 people and is located on the 2nd floor of the building. With its high-quality pine wood furnishings, it radiates a cosy atmosphere. The light-flooded apartment with sloping ceilings and wooden roof beams and consists of a living room with a sofa bed for one person, a small, well-equipped kitchen, 2 double bedrooms as well as one bathroom. The child-friendly apartment's amenities also include Wi-Fi, satellite TV, Sky and children's books. A washing machine, a baby cot, a children's bed and a high chair can be provided if requested in advance. Access the furnished, private balcony from the living room and enjoy a tasty breakfast on sunny days or unwind while admiring the snow-capped peaks. The absolute highlight of the apartment is its exceptional location, which offers a breathtaking view of the mountains. Countless hiking routes with alpine pastures and mountain huts, where you can take a break as well as downhill runs for winter sports enthusiasts are in the immediate vicinity and are waiting to be explored. The Kreuzeck cable car, Alpspitz cable car (2.2 km or a 4-minute drive) or the Hausberg cable car (2.4 km or a 6-minute drive) take you to unforgettable viewpoints and slopes - enjoy the clear view over the snow-covered wonderland in winter and the lush green meadows in summer. The Riessersee lake with its beach, restaurant and café is 2.4 km away. Close to the accommodation you will also find a small selection of restaurants (250 m) and supermarkets (650 m).

Die Unterkunft liegt direkt an einer vielbefahrenen Straße. Auf dem Balkon sehr laut. Kurzer Weg zum Zentrum. Die Sehenswürdigkeit der Gegend sind gut und schnell zu erreichen ( Zugspitze, Kloster Ettal, Schloss Linderhof )

Haus ist strategisch günstig gelegen

Pros: Die Lage des Hauses ist wirklich top. Wenn irgendwann der Kramertunnel fertig ist, dann wird wohl auch der Verkehr auf der Straße vorm Haus erträglicher. Die Ausstattung der Wohnung ist für einen Urlaub hinreichend. Wir haben nichts vermisst. Cons: Der starke Verkehr auf der Straße vorm Haus ist schon enorm. Aber wie gesagt, wenn der Kramertunnel mal fertig ist, sollte das auch kein Thema mehr sein.

Kurzurlaub in Garmisch-Partenkirchen

Wir hatten zwar leider nur eine kurze, dafür aber eine sehr schöne Zeit in Garmisch. Die Wohnung ist sehr schön und groß und hat alles was man so benötigt. Auch die Lage ist top. Man ist mit dem Fahrrad ganz schnell auf einem schönen Fahrradweg, welcher direkt an der Zugspitzbahn entlangführt. Aber man sollte bedenken, dass das Wohngebäude direkt an einer Durchfahrtsstraße (Zugspitzstraße) liegt. Bei geschlossenen Fenstern hört man aber fast gar nichts von dem Verkehrslärm. Ansonsten würden wir jederzeit wieder hierher kommen.

Saubere Wohnung - schlechte Lage

Die Wohnung war in einem sauberen Zustand, die Betten sind nicht durchgelegen (man konnte sehr gut darauf schlafen), die Einrichtung schon etwas ältere (aber in guten Zustand - rustikale Möbel), Stadtzentrum zu Fuß zu erreichen, viele Ausflugsziele direkt in Umgebung (kurze Autofahrt) - Zugspitze, Partnachklamm, Eibsee - negative: Küche viel zu klein, schlechte Lage der Ferienwohnung - direkt an der Hauptstr. durchgehend fließender Verkehr. Zum verweilen auf dem Balkon und zum schlafen viel zu laut.

Cons: Die Unterkunft liegt direkt an der Hauptstraße wodurch der Verkehrslärm zu den Stoßzeiten schon etwas lauter war. Aber da man selten in der Unterkunft war tagsüber, war das auch OK.
