Great for Family Event

This was the perfect location for us to stay a couple nights and host some family gatherings. The kitchen had what we needed and it was a beautiful space. The backyard was a great plus with the dogs. Just needs a bit of drain unclogging in the shower but it was so charming and had all the parking we needed.

The house was not as nice as what the pictures make it look. The kitchen is not in good shape, the kitchen sink was disgusting and the dishwasher didn’t work. When you try to use the kitchen sink the water trickles out no matter how high you put the pressure. The cupboards were crooked and many didn’t close all the way. When I went to do a load of wash there were wet towels in the dryer that smelled. The white bedding had stains on it. The chairs outside on the back patio were filthy. Not to mention the house is surrounded by dogs that bark the minute you go outside. On the back side of the property is a park for kids to play at, and so it can be loud outside. The house is located a little busier of a road than I would have liked especially for the price of the rental. The bathroom was dated and not in the cute charming way. There was mold growing on the tile at the base of the shower and we experienced a lot of ants in the bathroom and kitchen. I get ants, I live in Texas but not this many ants. The beds are memory foam, and really hard. The owner only allows the house to be cooled to 72 degrees, I was there in May and the house was not cool enough. I can only imagine what summer months would be like. This house is not walkable to downtown McKinney. At least not in the Texas heat. For the nightly rate of this place I expected much nicer accommodations. We only stayed one of the two nights we booked it for. We just weren’t comfortable.

Perfect location

We came to McKinney for Thanksgiving with family. The location of the VRBO, a five minute walk to our daughter’s home, and the fact they allowed our dachshund to stay too made it perfect.

We had to book this at the last minute, because our other rental never us with arrival instructions and they were extremely prompt to respond and assist with our needs. This place was very clean and appealing to our needs. The hospitality was wonderful! And communication was great!
