Welcome to our cozy cottage, built in 1946 and lovingly restored in 2021, retaining many of the original details. Tall windows dominate all of the rooms, letting in light that is filtered through the shade of the 80-year-old live oak trees in the front and the huge pecan tree in the back. We have recently rejuvenated the kitchen and bathroom and our guests love the results. We love clean. We are proud of consistent 5 star ratings for cleanliness! We use a Tineco wet vaccum throughout the house (we don't have carpet, we have hard wood/tile and linouium) We wipe down all touch surfaces after each guest, in addition to our deep-cleaning routine.
We provide amenities such as coffee, tea, creamer, sugar, shower caps, make -up cloths, large, thick cotton hotel brand bath towels, 100% cotton sheets, high-end matresses and box springs (Necar and Sealy Posture Pedic) laundry soap, a washer and dryer as well as all of the usual toiletries. We want you to expect to feel at home.
If you let us know in advance we can provide a baby bed/pak-n-play. We have a high chair on the property for your stay.
We offer a double car port and recommend that you use it because birds roost in our trees at night.
We have all new appliances in our kitchen including a 4 burner ceramic topped stove, microwave, dishwasher amd double door Samsung refrigerator.
You will find our kitchen fully stocked with everything you need to cook a meal. Even the grocery store is close by! UT health is around the corner, making our cottage the perfect place if you work there or need to visit.

Many comments are about our historical neighborhood, where each cottage,/house has been built individually under architecture in the 40s. Great house in perfect location

The house was very clean, and felt very roomy for the size of the house. It was in a great location, and the neighborhood was quiet and walkable for dogs. We really enjoyed our stay and will most likely choose this house again when visiting Tyler.

Visiting the grandbaby

My mom and I came to visit my granddaughter and her great granddaughter living in Tyler. My mom was able to bring her dog and the baby stayed with us a couple of nights. It was the perfect stay and we loved the place.

Visited Tyler for a long birthday weekend getaway and had a great time. Small town charm with lots of things to do. Beautiful house in a beautiful historic district. Convenient to multiple attractions, downtown, parks, etc.

Great place to stay

We loved everything about this charming and very comfortable home. The location was perfect-less than a mile from the event facility, so coming and going was a breeze. A carport for our car was a bonus! Comfy furniture and bed and the kitchen was well stocked for the cooking we did. Hosts were instantly available to answer our questions. Well stay here again on our next trip!

We stayed in this cozy 2 bedroom cottage for two weeks. The host was very responsive and timely when asked questions. The cottage was clean and represented just as pictured. A special touch left on pretty notepaper welcomed us. We will definitely stay again!

This house was perfect for two sisters. We had plenty of room. The furniture and rooms were very inviting. Being old, we had a few questions about newer TV, lock box, and A/C control, but Daniel talked us through it all! He was very accommodating! We felt very safe in this beautiful community!

We have been married 45 years, have 3 grown men and one little granddaughter. We moved from The Netherlands almost 4 years ago to take care of our granddaughter. We now love living in Tyler, Texas. Our second passion is keeping our cottage in top shape. My husband and middle son care for the lawn and do most of the maintenance. The list of everything they have done to the cottage in the last 4 years is very, very long! But our guests say the results are fantastic!

Tylers historical Azalea district was built starting in the mid 40s. These solid brick cottages (with crawl spaces underneath) were built under architecture for veterans returning from the war. Most of these modest cottages have been added on to, however our cottage remains one of the few still in original size, a modest 1200 square feet. The lay-out is amazing, with both bedrooms almost equal size and seperated by the bathroom for privacy. The open kitch/diningroom/living room gives a feeling of space.

The almost 80-year-old live oak trees in the front yard, that were planted in 1946. They shade the cottage during the summer and provide shelter for birds and squirrels. The tall and abundant windows make the cottage light and airy.
