Peaceful cabin on the Cochee river w/ 4 acres land

Come cookout, relax, fish and kayak alongside the Withlacoochee River, freshly updated home on stilts is located just 15 min upriver from the Suwannee state park & hidden springs, the elevated back deck sits 10 ft from the riverbank. The 4-acre property boats plenty or mature oaks and pines with an old railroad bridge pillar making for amazing photographs.
Property frequently visited by deer, owls, & turkey. Private drive offering plenty of privacy and just 25 min from Live Oak shopping district. We have 3 kayaks and a canoe at your disposition. There are 2 exterior cameras in the front of the house. Within 10 min from Pilgrims.

Relax by the river

The property was great and exactly as described. The location is great with easy access to the springs in the area.we enjoyed having the kayaks available to enjoy the river and the view from the balcony is great. There were a few gnats about outside but none of them were of the biting kind. Would definitely stay again.

Tranquil Getaway

We were so impressed with the property! We felt like we were in the middle of nowhere while also being close enough to town to make a quick trip. Proximity to the State park was also so convenient. We did not use kayaks or canoes as there was really no way to get down to the water from the property, but that was due to wash out from recent storms. Other than that, the property was exactly as advertised and we would definitely stay again!

A peaceful space and time

Nice place to get away and relax.

A nice rural retreat next to the river. It's quiet except for the occasional boat with fishers putting by. The property is far enough out in the country to make the night sky perfect for star gazing. There was a nice fire circle with plenty of cut wood. The river flows at a good pace, so you really need to drive the kayaks upstream and float back down to the house. It helped that we had two cars. The house was clean and comfortable. To get to town is about 25 minutes. There is a quicky mart with food basics and gas about 5 minutes away.

Beautiful Cabin getaway

The cabin had stylish decor with very comfortable furniture. This place supplied everything needed for a wonderful vacation. The host was very helpful. My family is insisting on returning here for future vacations.

Bereavement Getaway

We just wanted a place to get away from all the noise of the world. This was perfect. The fact that we were able to bring our little dog with us truly enhanced our stay. Looking out on the serene river was wonderful. The house had everything that we needed and more. The only thing I would say is a couple of night lights would be nice but other than that, it was terrific. We had a campfire. We cooked on the grill. There was plenty of hot water for showers. Went fishing. And surprisingly enough did not receive a single mosquito bite. Although the Nats were kind of thick. We will definitely go back again.

A nice quiet get away

When I opened the door I noticed right away the place was very clean. The kitchen is well stocked as is the bathroom toiletries. I reached out to the owner and she responded within minutes. Communications are 5 stars. The property is well maintained. The neighbors we met where very nice and easy to get alone with. Which is a plus. Washer and dryer worked great for us. If you want a quiet place on the river this is your spot. .

Lovely respite, clean and comfy!

This was a great, beautiful, clean and comfortable place to stay on the picturesque riverfront. Wish we could have hung out here more, but we're in town to visit family so had to be away from the property for most of the time. Loved all the amenities and would love to come back and actually enjoy the setting of it more.

Excellent Stay

This is a beautiful property and close proximity to many parks in the area. We vacationed here with our family of 6 with our mini-schnauzer. The property was a welcome and restful respite and would love the opportunity to stay here again. The house is in spectacular condition and well-maintained.

Next time need to stay longer!

This stay was our time to get a taste of what Florida has to offer away from the gulf beaches and we loved it! The house sits amongst beautiful clear cut woods with a great view and access to the flowing Withlacoochee River. We were surprised at how clear the river is (even though looks pretty brown on the photos). I heard one mosquito the whole time. We utilized the kayaks and canoe the hosts has for guests and launched north of Madison Blue Springs. Stopped to snorkel and swim at the springs along the way and saw one more clear spring before arriving at the house. For those who like to fish, bring some poles and your bait of choice because the river is full of fish!

Perfect river getaway!

Had an amazing weekend out in the woods. Will be booking this location again in the future. Such a great experience. Had a little hicup at the start of our stay, unrelated to the property just a random problem, communication with owner was quick and they were able to immediatly resolve the issue. Cant wait to come back!

Went with older sister and best friend. Very peaceful and wonderfull place and location

Only thing i didnt ever find were those springs on your sight because i couldnt find a name to look up location. We did canoe to another sight i had been to many years ago when i stayed at Spirit of Suwannee.

Great Place Very Relaxing and Nice

Clean property inside and out, amenities as described and the check in instructions were clear no issues accessing the property. Not a ton to do in the area but that’s not a big issue it was really nice just hanging around the cabin.

We were the first to leave a review back in October… the cabin was perfect!! Well jump ahead 6 months, another week stay. This place just keeps getting better!! Multiple upgrades to cabin. Well done Ms Audrey! You have everything that could be needed for a long getaway. Its host like Ms Audrey that make the stay, she allows all of us to stay in her cabin as if its our own.. The husband and I will continue to keep coming back to this wonderful, peaceful slice of heaven! Did I mention my service dog Oakley Loves this place too😃she so likes walking the property and letting her Beagle nose smell the deer.. HEART felt thanks Ms Audrey and Joel

The river is right in your backyard, 4 acres land and trees give you peace and privacy. You can launch from blue springs state park and float the river for 4 hours and put out at the property, there are shorter option as well. We have 3 kayaks and a canoe at your disposition.AT night you will be visited by the coolest owls and their kids. You can go deer sightseeing at night by driving around the property and on Drew's road.
